can you describe as much as you you're willing able to share um the giant it looked like the Giants were just throwing every type of pressure wink marale had in his Playbook at you what was the complexity of that and what was the communication like for you guys down there oh yeah we knew uh they were going to Blitz a lot that was part of the game plan so we practiced it a lot but they you know they honestly blitzed a lot more than we thought they would so um but we were ready for it we you know justed at halftime and um yeah was it was a lot more blitzes I think that we thought but we we did practice it all week so and then for you um coming in uh a little bit last moment in the week um and and knowing you were going to take over at that left tackle spot I mean obviously I know you've played there so much in the past but the communication element of it um when you are getting that volume of pressure um did did you and Matthew or did you and the the rest of the o line did you guys do anything different to kind of prepare a little bit more or to recommunity because I feel like at this point you know right tackle left tackle or even guard I feel like um you know comfortable with Matthew comfortable with what he says or at this point so um I feel like my goals are just go in there and have nothing changeed for the offense and I feel like that's what I've been doing a good job at so uh just happy to keep that going and um you've been here for a couple of years now and so you've seen some of the changes that this team has gone through and some of the ways the roster especially this last year has dramatically changed um can you kind of describe where um you guys are at now as opposed to maybe when you came in uh back in in May and um you know there's 44 rookies Andor new players around you and and now you guys are headed to the postseason yeah you know at the start um you know doesn't really matter about the outside noise but um we were kind of just trying to figure out you know we we knew we had a ton of young guys we knew the older guys had to step up and I feel like they they did a really good job of that the captains and everyone so but really just these rookies have been just so impressed um what they've been able to do even like the seconde guys so like Kiren guys like that the young guys just you know being Playmakers for us Kobe Turner uh puka obviously every everyone it's just amazing and um it just comes from the the coaches and the leaders we have on this team I feel so thank you very much still Hey Joe kind of along the same lines of what Jordan was asking what stands out the most to you about this group's resolve in terms of the way they've kind of navigated you know the the way you guys have navigated the ups and the Downs this season yeah you know coach has always been talking about the the bye cone at the right time and how we just it's been like a clear reset since that that week and just everyone kind of like bought in we knew we had to you know step it up and you know all three phases and I feel like we did that and just like I said having the young guys um respond like that it's it's rare and have so many of them that are able to you know lock in and you know respond like that is true you know I haven't seen it since I've been here so um it's you know like I said just Testament to like the coaching and the message that we were given you know at that uh Midway point to the season I feel like and then for you obviously going back to um yesterday's game I know you have obviously a lot of starting experience and I imagine you probably prepare like this like you're going to be a starter regardless of what your role is for a given week but when you do have a sudden change situation like that is there anything on the day of the game or pregame or anything like that that changes if at all for you um you know learning you know you're going to be playing spe specific specific spot you kind of um it takes a little bit off you because you know if I learn I'm gonna play this position it just makes it easier I know I'm locked in there um rather than you know where what's going to happen so and you know the coaches Matthew and you know all the other linemen you know uh we're so you know on the same page with everything so I feel like whoever I would have to go in um it'd be a seamless transition so and then lastly for me just what it mean to you to get a game ball for yesterday's game oh yeah uh it meant a lot um you know uh just to have a coach like Sean just to have as much Faith as he's had me since I've been here for these six years it you know it's truly special and you know I'm extremely grateful for it one of want to be anywhere else and uh you know it builds confidence uh just knowing how much he knows football and uh cares about his players that uh he thinks you know highly of you so extremely grateful thank you very much appreciate Sarah hey um Sean was telling us last week I asked him about um Matthew Stafford and how tough he is and he told the story about during that indie game when Matthew got his he got the hip contusion um that was the game you stranger grin in um and that it was important for you to finish the game even though you were hurt because of what Matthew was doing can you just tell me a little bit more about that yeah it was late in the game I you know strained my groin um and you know just the pivotal moment at that point where um it was coming down to a close game and you know didn't want to come out and then you know what made me even not want to come out even more I just knew I couldn't was seeing Matthew hadn't got um injured earlier in that game and just what he was fighting through and you're like we we already knew what kind of tough player he is we've seen it all before but just to see your quarterback just push through pain like he's done in numerous games this year and in the past it's just it makes you want to fight for him even more you know no matter what you got going on so thank you Lauren we rap rap with you uh so Joe you've mentioned that some of the young players and how they've you know just really impressed you this season can you just talk about what you've seen from Steve a um and his development over the course of this season oh yeah um you know Steve's a fellow horn frog so I knew knew him a little bit for this so um but no he when he came in you know he's typical you know rookie um uh you know he he bought Into You know guys working with him after practice uh conditioning uh the weights just everything he needed to do to get better he completely bought in and uh you know even early on in the season but especially now you don't even think about him being a rookie he's just he's came in here and been um playing extremely well uh you never have to you talk extra to him like you may have with other rookies it's just um it's really impressive that he's been able to just buy in and completely you know just fit at that left guard spot just seamlessly so um yeah really impressed with him uh and then also I just want to ask you because you've on a championship team so just you know where you guys are with the playoffs um looming kind of like what you think and how you would evaluate where you guys are as a team uh yeah I think uh since that bye we've been you know running the ball really well Matthew's been you know doing his thing um trying to block for him as best we can feel like we do been doing a good job um like I said all these young players too just continue to impress us all um uh the Baltimore game we felt like you know it was a tough one we felt like could have had it but uh it was a really good team obviously uh from what we've seen so uh this this last game kind of you know it was good for us to have another close game to kind of you know reset a little bit you know um even though we've been playing really well uh you need those type of games to kind of you know reset your mind a little bit uh have some things to work on and you know coach up and uh you know games like that you only get better from so I feel like we're we're still on the right track for sure um just we're only getting better we're hitting our stride uh in December and January which is exactly when you'd want to
