Bryant Assistant Athletic Director discusses Salt Bowl 2024

okay isy thanks very much an electric atmosphere around here tonight it is starting early for the salt Bowl the Rivalry between these two schools Benton and Bryant for bragging rights in Seline County it stretches back decades decades yeah that's right players coaches even fans have left their marks on the salt bowl over the years Channel 7's Daniela deogan caught up with Bryant one Bryant coach who says he's a hornet for Life Daniela he is Chris and Beth he told me he went to school there he played for them now he's back he's been back for a really long time and he is trying to make the community better he says that by going through all of these Sports he's teaching the young men in that Community to be better for the community let's take a look Travis qu the new assistant athletic director for Bryan High School is a former Hornet himself I've been at Bryant you know through thick and thin you know I've went to school through briyan personally experienced it from playing it being being a fan uh coaching in it and now administrate being an administrator in it even though qu has played many roles during his time at Bryant his most memorable experiences are being on the field it's got a special place in my heart because you know I feel like I'm I bleed Bryant blue and I'm I'm doing it for a reason other than uh you know just a win I'm doing it for a community qu says developing students to become part of the community is his goal coaching is is more about the relationships and the communication that you develop with a goal in mind to to win ultimately win uh but with the other goal in mind of creating young men for the community and and uh you know Future Leaders now qu says we have a lot to look forward to from the football team this season and we'll hear from some of those football players tonight at 6 okay thanks so much Daniela sounds like a great leader for that Community for sure well coming up our live coverage of the salt Bowl 2024 from War Memorial Stadium continues that's right right after this we will check in with the assistant principal at Bryant high school ahead of tonight's salt Bowl stay with us
