[Music] hi everybody I'm Brad nestler along with Kirk CB Street Aaron Andrews will join us from the sideline shortly it's time for some college football brought to you by EA Sports and ESPN tonight's game is between the Western Michigan Broncos and the Wisconsin Badgers more than 8,000 have come to the capital of Wisconsin to watch what should be a very entertaining battle here at Camp Randle Stadium [Music] [Applause] get some let's go and here come the Badgers for Wisconsin what are you looking for from their offense you want to watch how quickly a lot of their plays develop it's all about ball control with this offense and they use a lot of quick passing routes and a lot of three-step drops doesn't give the Defenders a whole lot of time to react for Western Michigan they've got a safety who does equal damage to the pass and the Run let's see what he can do against a really strong quarterback this will test a lot of his skills now we head to midfield for the coin toss and are ready to go he's to the 10 makes it out to maybe the 19 yd line the quarterback brings his troops out onto the field for the first drive of the game to the right and tackled immediately the offensive line needs to do a better job of not only handling the defensive lineman but getting up to the linebackers that way the ball carriers will have a little bit more room to get to that second level taken down to the Back Field if you're the running back here you've got to get up dust yourself off and get set for the next [Applause] play third and 13 coming up it's started with a student section now this whole place is going crazy he drops back strong showing by the defense you always like to get the other team's offense off the field as fast as you can they get this one off and it's a beauty tackle made the 39 yd line good job by the defense to force a punt on the first series well they had their opportunities here to make some plays to try to quiet this crowd but they weren't able to do it if things keep going this way this stadium is going to get even louder hands off and not much room there as they try to work the left side gain of two from their own 41 yd line Second [Applause] down back to pass a little toss across the middle drop down at the 49 yd line well you know this defense is going to come after you there's no doubt about that and as an offense you have to be prepared for that in that play they made them pay for [Applause] blitzing from their own 49 yd line first down [Applause] runs it and he stopped short of the line of scrimmage the defense just met the blocker's head on and drove them back straight into the [Applause] Run looking to throw tackle at the 40 yd line great job by the quarterback he had a slant called against Zone coverage and threw it at the perfect [Applause] time from the 40 yd line first down drops back to pass got a receiver and he dropped it number one the intended receiver on the play second down 10 yds to go ball on the [Applause] 40 here's a running play up the middle for a nice game that'll be a seven yd pickup seven on the play that makes it third and three third down and three coming up ball on the 33 yd [Applause] line he'll get it again he gets to about the 24 yd line and a big run on third down anytime you can move the ball like this you're putting a lot of pressure on that defense [Applause] [Music] and this play is number eight on the drive it's first down off the right side doesn't get much good tackle they pick up two yards it's the ninth play of the drive [Applause] throws to the receiver got it for the touchdown and did that play ever develop nicely well it's all about the receiver on this play he beat his man off the line and then ran a perfect bre all he had to do after that is make the catch he makes the pat here's the drive summary to recap what just [Applause] happened the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one [Applause] [Music] off it's fielded at the two he makes it to the 25 yd line their last Drive resulted in a punt so let's see if they can put together something a little more promising here incomplete pass number 23ed receiver second and 10 ball on the 25 yd line gives it to the back and he's tackled at the 39 I hope you didn't blink because the fastest running back we've seen all year just kept the drive alive with a big first down fastest running back we've seen all year is a bold statement but you know what Brad it's probably true first and 10 ball on the 39 yd line and he's tackled after positive yardage and a pickup of about seven it's second and three ball on the 46 yd [Applause] line throws incomplete a little too much juice on that one this quarterback sometimes gets a little bit too excited back there and tries to put too much on it he's got to relax and just make a good they hand it off taken down as he works the left for a nice game that'll be good for the first down about four yds for the tail back another good run from this running back let's see if he continues to get his carries as they continue with this drive first and 10 ball on the 50 yd line he makes the catch and has a first down that's great execution quarterback made a nice throw and the receiver was able to go up and make the play first and [Applause] 10 it looked like the quarterback thought he had an open receiver there but I don't think he saw the linebacker that makes it second and 10 they come out on an empty Back Field drops back back to pass and he got it to the sopore and he's taken down at the 16 they pick up good yardage that time on the pass play here they kind of put pressure on the quarterback and challenged him to find the hole in the defense and in this case he did nice [Music] job third down again this will be the first SNP inside the 20 today they go with the Run takes it up the middle for a nice run so the ground game picks up another first down well this really works on a defensive py you can see the guys on defense right now just trying to catch their win once again they had a chance to bring this drive to a Hal but were unable to do it the offense really seems to be clicking right now first down and they are very close to tying this thing up option right nowhere to go well these days you've got safeties playing up close to the line of scrimmage almost like a fourth linebacker the only way that you can keep them from cheating up is to take some chances down [Applause] field here's the option to the right nice run and he's brought down a nice seveny y gain on the option keeper that makes it 30 this crowd is almost shaking the stadium drops back to pass going to the end zone touchdown for the tight end and that one work just like they draw it up Kirk yeah Brad you're exactly right offensive line did a good job of protecting the quarterback good route by the receivers results touchdown come [Music] on the extra point to tie this game up and he hits the Pat and now we're going to take a look at the drive summary [Music] number Western Michigan lines up for the kickoff sends it sailing [Applause] downfield gets to about the 17 yd line six points and a pretty display of passing was a result of their last Drive Kirk do you expect the defense to take a different approach here when this quarterback is on he is on it already seems like whatever this defense is trying just isn't working but maybe if they add just a little bit more pressure and they might be able to force him into a mistake this secondary better tighten it up theying a slow down this drive [Applause] that so let's see how the defense responds now it's first down and 10 they give to the tailb he's tackled at about the 29 y I like how efficient the offense looked on that play everybody knew their assignment and all came together for a nice run from the 29 yd line it's first down he drops back he's got all day slings it out there incomplete he's unable to hit his receiver he overthrew it and that's a throw he should make every single [Applause] time it's knocked away incomplete Falls incomplete number 85 was the in third down and they need to get it to the 19 third [Applause] down back to pass Rose and he's right there to knock it away well they dug a bit of a hole for themselves and were forced into a low percentage pass play here on third down but the good news is they still have a shot at some points it looks like they're going to try for the long field goal go come on he gets it up and it's long enough and he missed it right no good no good you know for a second there I thought it might hook back but it just kept slicing to the right that's tough break they'll set up shot at the 29 yd line and he makes it out to about the 31 yd line a 2yd run by the halfback from their own 31 yd line Second down Ma's man and they take him down immediately everything about that play was crisp the route throw the catch that's fun to see gets it out to him again he got hit hard that is just sound fundamental football right there making it look so easy from their own 43 yd line it's first [Applause] down back to pass throws complete he's hit right away 6yd pickup well he really didn't have to do too much there to give himself a little room to make the catch that'll make it and four [Applause] and he stopped behind the line I'm going to bet this running back is getting frustrated you know he wants to be able to get into some open space unfortunately for him he didn't get the chance there and here's another third down he's looking to pass gets it to his wide receiver and he's got another one nice gain but not enough for the first down yeah that's a nice play there they did everything right except get enough yards for the first down fourth down looks like they're going to punt it away here time once again for this offense to come back out and start another Drive they'll go to work at the 33 [Applause] gives it to the back and down he goes around the 45 yd line did you see how much space there was for that tail back up front he better be thinking his offensive lineman for [Applause] that it's first and 10 another run and he's taken down around the 43 yd line very well-designed play that time to give them a first down lineman executed their blocks nicely and it went for a good [Applause] [Music] [Applause] game from the 43 yd line first down [Applause] [Music] [Applause] throws incomplete intended for his wide outs they got lucky on that play that receiver was wide open but the quarterback just missed him back to pass pass complete and taken down immediately I think he's got a good rhythm going right now with his wide receivers he hit him for a nice game that'll bring up third [Applause] and makes the grab past the marker and he will score that gives him 100 yards in the game this guy's capable of doing this game in and game out he's that good [Applause] he makes the Pat and here's our Drive [Applause] summary w [Applause] wo Wisconsin is lining up to kick this one [Applause] off taken from the three yd line he makes it out maybe to the 26 yd line they were forced to punt the ball away the last time they had it they'll be looking for a little more out of their offense on this possession hand off and he's met immediately the back gets three on the carry second down and six ball of the 29 gets it off as he's hit complete tackle made at the 37 I like how the offense is using the pass to get him involved he's explosive you just want to get the ball in his hands we've got a first and 10 ball in the 37 ATB gets the call and he answers big time and down he goes at the 44 anytime this guy carries the ball and gets a little space we can be talking about [Music] six from the 44 yd line first [Applause] down they go with the run runs it right nice pick up gain of six on the second and three coming up here ball on the 38 yd [Applause] line and they get nice yardage on that D that's good enough to pick up the first down he got by a couple of Defenders and made it to the sticks for the first down [Applause] [Music] we've got up first and 10 ball in the [Applause] 34 looks like an option here they'll drop it for a loss that was just Smashmouth helmet to Chin football by the defensive line there they dominated the point of [Applause] [Music] [Applause] attack and and it's knocked down that was a nice play anything you can do without being penalized to prevent the offense from moving forward is always a [Applause] plus third down and they need to get it to the [Applause] 24 he drops back Zips it left throw complete he's got space to work touchdown huge Play Good Start in the passing game that's 100 yds already well the quarterback is making great reads and he's doing a good job of finding his open receivers here comes the kicker to try to tie this game up he makes the pat so we take a moment here let's check out the drive [Music] summary and now let's send it down to Aaron Andrews with an injury upday thank you guys I talked to the trainers and the good news is that it appears to be only an abdominal strain and not a tear of the abdominal muscle the injury isn't serious at all and he's ready to get back on the field guys back up to you upstairs thanks Aon touchdown big play that shows you how quickly a game can turn around the defense made a great play and all of a sudden these guys are right back in it so the question here is whether or not his knee hit the ground before the ball came out [Applause] [Applause] well after seeing the replay it was apparent that his knee was down before he lost the ball yep those guys in the booth aren't perfect but they got it right this time back to pass out of bounds and about the 21 that's a three- yd pick and a great job of not allowing this explosive freshman to do anything with the ball after the [Applause] catch PCH out to the right and tackled behind the line zero yards on that play really just nowhere to go on that play that's a good job of these guys slowing down that running [Applause] game they run it for the first and he stops just a good showing on all three Downs by the defense that should fire him up four and three so it's fourth down they come out in a punt formation booming kick and he just got stood up right there you wonder what kind of impact the special teams play will have on the series that comes after a play like that this could be big for the defense brought down after a nice run up the middle so the old draw play gets him a good seven yards that'll make it second and [Applause] four throws incomplete broken up surprising to me that the secondary was in such good position I thought the play call had him fooled at first but a nice play by the [Applause] de he drops back deep pass down the left side it was the Umpire that threw the flag and generally that's a holding penalty holding coming they're really fortunate that wasn't intercepted not a very smart decision by the quarterback he had no shot at completing it yeah it's Fourth Down looks like they're going to putt it away [Applause] here and this one is a beauty he wasn't breaking that tackle what a hit the defense really shut these guys down the last time they had the ball here's a running play and he's taken down at the 30 they go with a run and that'll be a gain of nine that brings up second and one second and one coming up [Applause] here they're going to pitch it and down he goes around the 45 yd line I like how efficient the offense looked on that play everybody knew their assignment and it all came together for a nice [Applause] run from their own 45 yd line first down first down grab this is why it's so important to have success in running the football it forces a defense to prepare for it and then that creates chances on playaction they executed that one perfectly first and 10 throw is complete he's got room to work and they finally knock him out at the seven yd line and a great pass play that time and here we see just how much this defense respects the running game they got sucked in here on the play action and got beat on the packs good play call first down only seven yds from a touchdown for the first time today we'll get to see how this defense responds when they're backed up into the Red Zone and he's tackled at about the 9 yard line well did you see how the defense just swarm to the ball carrier that was fantastic [Applause] Pursuit he'll get it again again tackled after a decent run up the gut so the draw to the halfback picks up four third down and goal to go five yds to the goal line they'll go with the room once again he really plowed his way into the end zone there great looking touchdown once you get inside the 10 yd line this half back is automatic now you see it now you don't a very impressive Run net six and he adds the extra point let's take a glance at the drive [Applause] over Wisconsin kick this one off he'll return it from the six he makes it out to maybe the 23 yd line let's see if this drive has a more rewarding conclusion than their last which ended with a [Applause] punt they'll give it off here oh he got tattooed on that one they grab eight yards there y that makes it second and two it's second down and there about two yds away from the [Applause] sticks after one this game still pretty close the count here at Camp Randall is Wisconsin 21 Western Michigan 14 second and two flares it and almost had it intercepted that could have been a big play for the defense yeah even though he had a good shot at picking it off it's still a heck of a play to force the incomplete pass it's third down and two to go ball in the 31 tackle outside after a nice pickup very effective play calling in a third down situation it's plays like that you need to win ball games convert on third [Applause] down te from their own 36 yd line first down back to pass the senior makes the catch gain of nine catch that's good for a gain of n yds that brings up second and one [Applause] [Applause] from their own 45 yd line it's second [Applause] down throw is complete he's got room to work and he shoved out of bound at the 39 excellent job by this Young quarterback of making the defense pay for bringing both outside linebackers that's composure right [Applause] there first and 10 ball on the [Applause] 39 pitches it and he'll lose yardage that's not what you hope for from your running game you're looking for some solid North and South progress you never want to give the defense a play like that to build their Confidence from the 43 yd line it's second down looks to pass deep pass to the end zone there's a flag on the field and I think I have a good feeling of what this might be holding on the off that penalty will move him back a bit yeah with so many young guys out there it's bound to happen occasionally second down and a ways to go because of the [Applause] penalty incomplete pass number 85 intended receiver well they've converted one third down play on this drive but now they're faced with a third and [Applause] long and he's level at the 39 Bo this pass rush is sometimes scar they're really getting after the quarterback now [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] after the sack it's now fourth and long and this one is a beauty from the 15 he's tackled at the 22 yd line the quarterback did a really good job in the last Drive of finding his receivers in space and I bet he'll be looking to do the same thing again Wisconsin is up seven they'll run it and he's taken down at about the 23 yd line he picks up a yard on the play that bring up second and [Applause] N going long and they push him out round the 41 yd line pretty solid first half that's 200 yd passing so far this offense has been pretty effective by throwing the football from the 41 yd line first down here's a little drop play they'll bring him down at the 33 yd line a nice job by the offensive line and they pick up a gain of eight that makes it second and [Applause] two from the 33 yd line it's second down [Applause] straight in the middle he meets the defense a yard maybe two on the car from the 31 yd line third [Music] [Applause] down drops back to pass makes the first down catch and he's tackled around the 19 yd line and that was such a good job of reading the coverage and knowing where his receivers were any coach in the country would be thrilled to see that kind of composure especially on third down from the 19 yd line first down so their last Red Zone visit resulted in a touchdown let's see if the defense can hold them this [Applause] time and he's tackle after positive yardage he's up to 100 rushing yards now what you like is how clever he is at allowing the play to take shape before he makes his move move that shows vision and maturity from the 15 yd line it's second [Applause] down lets it Go intercepted really nice cover skill shown here this time that's exactly what you want to see from your young corners [Applause] what are you doing what are you do they line up at the six first down catches it tackle at the 13 yd line well-designed route and a confident thr football by the quarterback you need those things to make any offense [Applause] work nice run there and he carry that one for a few yards you know when you have a guy that can grab five yards or so consistently it sure takes some of the pressure off the passing game first down 10 yds to go ball in the 17 first down looking to throw bat it away nice job getting a hand on that one yeah really good heads up play there to get a hand on the football by the [Applause] defense and they push him out the 19 we've got third and eight all on their own 19 bring up thir and incomplete pass number 23 intended receiver on play fourth down so it's Fourth Down looks like they're going to punt it away here and this one is a beauty got the quarter and he's tackled at the 40 personal foul face mask from the defense first down first and 10 ball on the 45 [Music] [Applause] throws it out right to the running back he's brought down in the open field it really wasn't badly played by the defense but sometimes a good throw and catch just beats you that'll make it second and four they'll go with the option this offense can consider themselves very lucky to get this ball back that's about as sloppy of an option play as you'll ever see timing and the focus are so important when trying to run this offense and it looks to me like they just lost their focus there for a second nice run and he's brought down they'll pick up a first down with that run from the halfback I don't think there's a coach in the world who wouldn't be happy with getting five yds carry from the 34 yd line it's first down [Applause] and it's knocked away well you want to do everything you can to keep the ball out of the hands of these receivers so that was a really good [Applause] effort they go with the option they'll bring him down for a loss on the play well the question now is how will they respond after losing a couple on that run [Applause] makes the grab past the marker touchdown Badgers that makes it three touchdown passes this half the the quarterback's going to get a lot of credit but I think the thing that has helped him the most back there is the protection by the offensive line he has had plenty of time to make decisions back there in the pocket and he TS on the extra point that score leads us to our Drive [Applause] Sunway the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off taken at the five and he makes it out to about the 27 yd line their last Drive broke down and they punt it what do they have in store this time [Applause] out run the middle and nothing there so at the most he gains a few inches from their own 27 yd line it's second down they hand it off [Applause] again and he's taken down at about the 39 Y Line good solid running right there getting past the defensive lineman and into the secondary before he could be stopped we've got a first and 10 ball on their own 39 give to the tail back and he's tackled at about the 41 a 2yd run by the halfback and that was a sophomore linebacker there who was able to get in and make that [Applause] tackle back after a decent pickup they get five yds on the play third down and three coming up [Applause] thir going with a run and a very physical play here by the defense well I think it's safe to say the defense had his number on that one it can be very frustrating for a running back when he stopped before he even gets going it's fourth down here comes the punter looking to boot this one away he really got a hold of that one little too much leg into that punt they'll bring it out to the 20 they're ready to start another Drive hoping to duplicate the results of the last one which ended in a touchdown with an injury update here's Aaron Andrews thank you Brad he was in a lot of pain as he came over to the sideline but the coaching staff did tell me it's not tear they are going to see if he can get back in the game later back up to you guys in the thanks for the update Aon from their own 26 yd line it's second [Applause] down drops back to Pats he's tackled at the 33 they get about seven yds on the pass and Pi up a first down he has such a quick First Step once he made that initial move to the inside on the slant he already had the space he needed for the first [Applause] down throws to the receiver and he's got it again they gained five yards there here's a safe play hitting the underneath receiver but it's a nice gain of five throws quick to the receiver and it falls incomplete number six was the intended receiver here's third down four yds to go ball on the [Applause] 38 drops back to pass gets it out to the Wi out and he's got the first and he's brought down at the 35 he's going to finish with a whopping amount of passing yards and he keeps this up he's already got 300 well he's been consistent he's been on Target and his guys been making great catches this is the kind of half you dream about as a quarterback it's first and 10 ball in the 35 it's batted down incomplete smart heady play by that Defender that was solid fundamental pass [Applause] defense up the middle for a nice game 6yd pickup so we're looking at another third down here [Applause] they put outside for a nice game so we got it up for the first down there yep nice call to run the ball there on third down I like [Music] it first and 10 ball on the 24 yd line and it's knocked down this is a very well coached defense they know to get their hands up in the air and to try to knock down [Applause] passes they keep it on the ground with a tail back three yd gain by the running back call it a gain of three y it's third and S this is the 11th play of this drive [Applause] again with the run it's picked up by the defense and the ball changed hands now after the fumble this a great bonus for this defense they are taught to attack and try to strip the football and this is a result of their aggressive [Applause] play Team they'll take over at the 22 yd [Applause] line here's the halfback and they make the stop around the 34 yd line that last carry puts him over the century mark for the game the coaches have really got to be thrilled with how well he's been running so far he's been aggressive he's attacking the holes but also improvising when he needs [Applause] to and he's taken down at the 49 yd line excellent play as a quarterback found his receiver for a big game well give credit here to the receiver for finding that seam and coming up with a nice game for the [Music] offense let's go [Music] from their own 49 yd line first down and up up the middle and he Stu I'm not even sure the ball carrier saw the corner coming for that happened so fast he never had a chance to make a [Applause] move go option right he tackles him for a loss more plays like this and the coaching staff is going to need to change up the blocking scheme you can't allow the defense to play in your [Applause] back look at the throw incomplete pass number 13 the intended receiver on the play fourth down fourth down looks like they're going to punt it away here he putts it away and it's a great kick and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback last time the offense had it they lost a fumble so I'm pretty sure the coaching staff was over there talking about ball security with the pass incomplete is incomplete number six the intended receiver on second and 10 that makes it second and [Applause] 10 get to the tail back oh what a hit just about three yds there just a great job here by the defender of timing the hit and getting him [Applause] down boy that hurts the offense to have to go three and out you're going to have to think about how to get something going the next time they come out and this one is a beauty makes it out to maybe the 40 yd line their last Drive ended in a punt so this quarterback's going to be looking for something better on this drive they'll go ground nice run and he's brought down five yds gain of five yds it'sit second and five here looking to throw and this one's broken up the pass was right on Tor so that took a perfectly timed hard hit to knock it free strong defense to deny the completion hand off and he won't make it boy I thought he want to pick it up that was a solid effort but the defense held him back [Applause] and they'll down it at the four yd line the defense shut him down on their last Drive forcing a quick [Applause] Punt and he's hit immediately nice pass play to get the offense out of deep in their own territory it's not a good feeling when the shadow of your own goal post is crawling up your back first [Applause] in feeds it to the back he's taken down at the 19 yd line a 2yd run by the halfback this junior corner has been progressively improving his run defense he's better at diagnosing those plays now and he knows how to bring a guy down now let's he from Aaron Andrews on some injury news what do you got for us Aaron thank you guys suffering from a fo contusion and he's having difficulty pushing off and putting all of his weight on that foot right now the trainers are looking at him He's listed as probable to return to the game Brad back up to you thanks for the update Aaron first down 10 to go ball on the 44 yd line caught with room to work drop down and about the 35 that reception gives him 200 yds in this game and it's hard to believe that he has that many yards already it seems like the game just started and we're still in the first half so there's a lot of time left for this kid to build on those statistics [Applause] again he'll get the call and down he goes at the 33 a yard maybe two on the carry it's second and eight the offense calls a [Applause] [Music] timeout drops back to pass he caught it for the touchdown what a half he's had with four scoring tosses the defense better wake up pretty soon before it gets real [Applause] hungry and he adds the extra point and now we take a look at the drive summary [Applause] Wisconsin ready to kick this one off he'll return it from the three he's tackled at the 22 yd line the last time this offense had the ball it was three and out [Applause] throws left the running back's got it they'll bring him down at the 35 yd line you obviously have to worry about him as a ball carrier but he showed here that you have to be concerned about him as a receiver as well he's got good hands and you know he's good in the open field [Applause] all he's changing things up [Applause] catches it hit for no game second and 10 they'll spread the field with five wide got him in the screen play inside the 30 got some open field he'll take it all way for the touchdown that's TD pass number three the quarterback is just having a great game so far he's had absolutely no problem finding the end zone and it's really not that often you're going to see a team losing that has a quarterback with four touchdowns in a game [Applause] [Applause] [Music] he splits the uprights with the extra point here's the drive summary to recap what just [Music] happened Western Michigan is lining up to kick this one [Music] [Applause] off y take it from the two he makes it out to maybe the 16 yd line a long methodical drive like the last one demonstrated that this team can carve up the defense through the air and I'm sure that's just what they're thinking about as they come back [Applause] out on the delay and he's brought down immediately if this offense keeps running at this guy they're going to have to rethink some of their play calls thir so it's second and [Music] 13 80 [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] looks to pass caught out in the open he's tackled at the 32 yd line don't go anywhere folks it looks like we might have a pretty good game on our hands after all the count here at Camp Randall is Wisconsin 35 Western Michigan 21 Western Michigan is set to kick this ball off to start the second half from his own goal line he makes it out to maybe the 23 yd line and now slight break in the action as the offense comes out onto the field for their next possession drops back on first down catches it tackle made around the 29 yd line these short effective passes are going to help the quarterback's confidence [Music] it's second and four to [Applause] go throws it and oh he dropped it this just shows you that you don't need to be sacking the quarterback to disrupt the passing [Applause] game and down he goes at the 39 a nice completion to the tight end a good play here and the thing that I noticed is that he provides a nice big Target out there for the [Music] quarterback from their own 39 yd line first down it's the tail back and he's taken a touchdown was the end result of their last drive as this offense moved the ball very well with their passing game hands it off he's tackled right around the 48 yd line they go with a run and that'll be a gain of nine that brings up second and one second and one coming up here ball on the 48 yd line he's taken down right around the 34 the quarterback did an excellent job of recognizing the Mike linebacker on the blitz he hung in there delivered the pass and his receiver made a good catch to move the [Music] sticks from the 34 yd line first down they're going to pitch it tackle made round the line the misdirection wasn't fooling the defense at all that shows some really solid preparation and discipline to stay with their assignments throws complete he's got room to work he step shot right around to a 12 yd line middle linebacker came on a blitz which can be very disruptive sometimes a quarterback will get Happy Feet when they see that coming not this guy he's very composed and can deliver under a pass first down on the 11 going [Applause] in they'll run the option that is exactly the type of play that good linebackers make on a regular basis if you can make enough of them in college probably going to get a chance to play at the next [Music] level second and 13 coming up here ball on the 15 yd line runs left and quickly taken down didn't get anything and this play is number eight on the drive it's third down drops back to pass puts it right in his hands touchdown and with that touchdown pass this quarterback now has six on the day it's hard to find an adjective to describe this performance six touchdowns wow I'm kind of surprised these guys are still losing after the type of game that this quarterback's have here comes the kicker to try to tie this game [Applause] up and he hits the pat let's take a glance at the drive [Music] summary number and it look like they're ready for the kickoff and this is just a booming kick and it goes into the end zone down for a Touchback the offense will be hoping for a little more success than they had the last [Applause] timeout gets it out an open receiver and just dropped it passs incomplete number second and right position to make a stop near the line of scrimmage back to pass and he's finally knock knocked out of Bounds at the 27 he sort of rainbowed that one into the air which can be risky you're giving the 20 any offense is predicated on being able to move efficiently like this BR second and three they go with a run and he's brought down in the back field did you see how quickly he was able to get guy when they're running their routes too there's looks like someone got a head start on the line dead ball wal start on the offense still second down second down 15 to go ball on the 20 yd [Applause] line drops back to pass complete he's got room and they push him out around the 9 yd line not a bad little play there yeah this a nice job by the quarterback reading the coverage and delivering a very catchable ball and allowing his receiver to come up with a nice game [Applause] touchdown and now they're winning this ball game five touchdowns now for this quarterback he's having just a terrific game today simply an unbelievable display of passing that we've seen today talk about a great catch when you got Playmakers who can make catches like that it can really make a good quarterback great so the offense is going to go for two throws it incomplete pass here's the drive summary to recap what just happened number the kicker looks like he's ready to kick this one off he'll return it from the the four yd line oh he got nailed on that one let's see what they can do on offense as they take possession after the return I think it goes without saying that this is a very critical possession they have to be thinking about getting the ball into the end zone because it's getting too late in the game to be thinking about field goals he steps out at the 34 yd line about a 5yd pickup on the old playaction pass that brings up second and five back to pass throw and he's right there to knock it away good awareness defensively that time by the linebacker not only that but as you saw he also made a very athletic move to get to the ball back to pass catches hit for no game the D sniffs out the screen pass and holds him to a short game contain contain contain that's the only way you can shut down a guy with 42 speed and this one is a beauty tackle made at the 19 and he didn't get anything on that return well the coverage team did an outstanding job at containing here you always see this with this team they're very disciplined on special teams we straight in the middle and he meets the defense picked up a yard of anything on that run it's second and nine ball in the [Applause] 20 back to pass caught open field and down he goes right around the 50 that last completion one of his many in this game gives him an amazing 600 yd passing he has absolutely demoralized this entire give to the tail back three rushing touchdowns on the ground today for this young man boy this guy's been huge today it's been a big part of the reason that his team has the [Applause] lead and now for an outstanding Talent good open field tackle superb effort by the receiver to come down with that ball this comes down to the timing between a quarterback and the receiver and the result again a got himself some positive yards back to pass he's hit and taken down another catch and he's up to 100 yds now you got to love this quarterback receiver combo talking to these guys before the game they told me they spend about an hour after every practice perfecting the routes it sure shows from the 36 yd line first down takes it up the middle for a nice run they got four yards on that one that's good for aain of four y second down seven yds to go and this is the eighth play of the [Applause] drive it's knocked away incomplete nice job getting a hand on that one yeah really good heads up play there to get a hand on the football by the [Applause] defense he Hees it to the end zone he's got it touchdown and with that touchdown pass this quarterback now has six on the day yeah it's been a lot of fun watching this quarterback go to work on this defense he has them searching for answers and he adds the extra point let's take a glance at the drive [Applause] summary Wisconsin lines up for the kickoff and he makes it out to about the 21 yd line let's see what they can do on offense as they take possession after the return they need to move the ball down the field quickly and efficiently
