Intro In my world I don't have a disability, because I'm always looking at the positive things. I’m so happy that I'm able to be an athlete, and win so many things. It’s amazing. I wouldn’t go back and change anything. My name is Niels Vink, I'm from the Netherlands, and I play wheelchair tennis. His disability My disability is very visible. I'm missing my legs, and my fingers When I was one, I had a bacterial infection and it came into my blood and my body reacted to it to keep my organs all safe in here. So all the ends of my body were starving because they didn't get any blood. It was a long time in the hospital, for three months, and a lot of surgeries. I think Biggest challenge the biggest challenge was for my parents, my parents didn't know how I was going to come back, with one leg, without leg, if I would come back. And then after that, when I was healthy again, I needed to learn how to sit. So everything was a little bit different, but they managed to do it good. I started wheelchair tennis very late, I think I was 11 years old. In my neighborhood, they were starting tennis for people with disabilities, not just wheelchair tennis. I think the first three years it was just for fun. I really like to play the game. Everything went like this then. First Olympic Games My first Paralympic Games was a dream that came true. In 2012, when I was a little kid, I said to my mom, ‘I want to be here!’, without doing any sports. And nine years later, I was in Tokyo playing for the medals and won gold and bronze. So yeah, that's a dream that came through. Everything that happened, I was like, Viral Moment ‘Is this real?’. I celebrated with Sam, we were very happy. And then I saw a small gap. So I thought, ‘Let's go!’. So I jumped out of my wheelchair, and run to the, to the other people. That's how I move when I'm home. I'm not using a wheelchair. I'm just like a monkey. And yeah, that moment, it went viral. Yeah, that's incredible. Outro This year, these Paralympic Games, it will be played on Roland Garros. I've been there twice, I think it will be also very special and a lot of people watching. For everyone who's watching now, come and watch us at the Paralympic Games in Paris. If you like tennis, you will like wheelchair tennis.
