Zlatan Ibrahimović reminisces about Serie A, AC Milan & talks Christian Pulisic | CBS Sports Golazo

here he is the man himself zatan zatan thank you so much for joining us thank you thank you for having me but I thought the where's the real studio with Andre Katy and M let's go if you bring me in you got to bring me to the a guys right now speaking like that now he speaking like that but don't worry I'm going to push up the level now can you say them the first time you arriving in Torino when you AR in our changer room you're feeling because was completely different different he's got it back was different because when I came the first time in the locker room I saw this guy beside me and many others it was like playing PlayStation because the day before I was playing PlayStation with this guy the next day I was playing with them football but after 3 months they were playing with me [Music] PlayStation I love him always he's like that but if back in the time L of was amazing out 18 19 20 we had a good time that he told the story he asked the question this way but in the hotel he didn't ask the question this way he said zattin was very quiet in the locker room very shy I was I was don't talk about God nothing I I needed to study because the first training I saw him you see the size but when he was jumping he was here and I was like wao I have to be careful here is that true you would never let him score against you always he scor against me oh really during the train I need I of course I give it to him but the confidence this guy was in the pitch amazing guy and also outside the pitch so I'm very thankful that I play with a great Champion like that because you have only to learn from them and uh and they shape you and they build you and obviously when I played when I came to I was the young guy and they were the experienced guy so I'm just thanksful uh gelat what's uh you're obviously Champion all over the world that goes without saying but what's so special about Italy that you played here a lot of years but also then you remained here in AC Milan what's special about the culture about the people about the country uh that makes you feel connected to them I think in general football in Italy is like a religion I mean he can describe it better than me because he's a Italian and he spent a lot of years also in Italy and I'm the let's say I was the tourist I came to Italy and then I became a Italian because I it became my my second home because obviously Sweden is my first home but became a second home they welcome me as a as an Italian and I have a great history here with with what I did and even the Flies recognize me so there it is there we go and uh and even the Flies make me welcome so but the football here is like a religion and when you play here and when you play with the big clubs you make you get to win with the big clubs the reaction from the fans is you become like one family and and that's why I'm feeling like I'm home here and uh I'm only thankful for for what Italy gave me because I think 70% of my career was in Italy so I'm just thanksful and I hope I can give as much as possible back and on that note Zan you're still here you're in a different role at this milot and you seem you seem happy it seems like your hands are in a lot of different places I hear that you're curious can you talk about what you've been doing uh behind the scenes I mean I'm I'm getting gray hair only after 6 months so it means I work a lot I have a lot to learn uh I have a lot to give but I have a great I have great colleagues I work for amazing club and uh for the moment I'm working like office time 8: to 4 so I started to work for real because football is passion is work also but different kind of work but I'm happy I'm triggered I'm I have like I said I'm learning every day and U during this period it's all about Mercato putting up the team together we have a new coach we have new players we are trying to put in a new cult in the club with the old one so it's a lot of things happening we have Milan fudo so basically in two months we created a new Milan are you taking a little bit of a break though at least now you know learn a new sport a new skill maybe have that dessert that you didn't have when you were a player no no no because I work from a different angle now so there is no break there is work every day so but I'm just thankful for the opportunity I got and uh I just want to bring in what I'm able to bring and and to grow you know what's really exciting for us obvious is getting to watch Christian POA sick and we just spoke to him a couple of moments ago last season it felt like we saw him at his best he was so comfortable his stats matched how he was playing on the pitch what do you see from him for me Christian did his best season last year in his whole career I mean he came on double numbers with goal and assist and uh he had an amazing season unfortunately he didn't win a trophy but this season we we will change that and uh you can see he's happy when somebody's happy outside the field he's also happy inside the field and we give him the the space he needs and the and the happiness and then it's up to him and and last year he was phenomenal so you just have to continue and grow from it yeah he sure was wasn't he it's been a joy to watch it it's been a joy to speak to you as well thank you so much for stopping by sorry we weren't the group that you wanted we put up the level I have my my body here don't worry
