El Paso County's elections officials are proactively calling in emergency management teams to handle safety concerns around November's election. El Paso County cle clerk Steve Schleicher told our partners at Colorado politics. They want law enforcement, overseeing each and every ballot box and polling center in the county. He says their president shouldn't be obvious, they don't want to scare off voters, but they'll provide peace of mind for elections, judges and volunteers who have reported feeling unsafe in recent elections as election Reagan, conspiracy theorists have threatened workers and volunteers around the state. Schleicher says the partnership will also provide hazmat resources. Why for an election?
