top 25 team against an unranked opponent can you take care of business as we'll see the winners of three straight the vanderville commodor taking on the winners of three straight the South Carolina game c glad to have you with us for EA Sports col football I'm ree Davis David poock and Jesse Palmer with me in the booth guys we are ready to tee it [Applause] up the gamecg will kick it away to start here he comes from inside his own five really disciplin job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 so Vanderbilt offense is on the field for the first time today and when you take the field with the confidence the swag that this guy does David it just really elevates your confidence in the passing game that receivers don't usually lack confidence and those are the guys that kind of set the tone that Swagger sets the tone for this offense and Jesse you know he's going to make plays and that speed scares defenses too because he can take the top off quick these safeties better get back deep or else this guy's going to take it to the house and they try to run inside and there is nowh to go coming off the season in which things really didn't go their way in conference play and they' love to get on a roll here this season well this is a team from a roster standpoint though that believes they're better on the field than and the defense is all over the quarterback and down he goes and the commodor will punt it away on fourth down oh that's a missed opportunity you know the quarterback was excited he saw man coverage he thought he was going to have an opportunity to come up with a big play but up front they could not protect them well enough the Gamecock offense taking the field first chance we have to see them today as we take a look at our impact players for this one what are you looking for Jesse for a guy to make an impact well these are simply put the leaders of this football team and generally Gaines go how these guys play if they make plays they've got a shot to win this one no doubt they got to show up these are the team leaders these guys have to play well if they're going to win the football game he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple it's so easy to let your eyes lie to you you see the ball kind of go the other way what's my assignment my assignment to make sure I can t on the backside great job by the defense not getting fool playing their assignment making the play and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play defense is going to have their hand will trying to stop this guy they better rally to the football and get multiple hats cuz he is not easy to bring down they keep counter their number of explosive plays and that last one has him set up first and 10 at the 19 I'll be honest that is a formation and a play call I was never expecting to see in this game this offense is one of the top 10 passing units in the entire country I'm surprised they even have goal line in their playbook what are we doing he's brought down quickly minimal gain there still a bit short of the first down nice completion here to this wide receiver and you're going to see this receiver line up in different spots all over the field all game long defense has got to keep their eye on where this guy is because they know he's a big part of this offensive success that DB had a different story he had something to say coming up making a physical tackle and on fourth down they'll try to salvage the drive with a field goal absolutely perfect and the first points of the day come on that field goal this is a team that really Prides themselves on starting fast we've seen that before and here they are playing at home today nice job on the opening drive lots of poise good emotion they don't get the touchdown they would have liked but they kick a nice field goal they've got for Leed the coach has to be happy with Vander has the ball again and here comes that commodor offense boy three and out last time David they'd like to be more productive this time around d the last Drive nothing really clicked no rhythm got off the field really really quickly they need to put something together here yeah David bad execution on that last drive so they got to take a collective breath and start playing like a unit on this drive solid fundamentals on that tackle from this freshman [Applause] Roar of the crowd trying to fuel this defense to keep them pinned in their own end trying play action takes a hit as he fires that pass is well off Target he got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on third down the commodor will try to pin them back with the punt this will be the second time they've had to kick it away running it back it's Bennett and the returner is stopped South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey they kicked a field goal on the last Drive Jesse they've got the lead don't make a dumb mistake but maintain your aggressive play call catch inside the 25 they'll finally put the brakes on him at the three a big throw catch and run on that one well after that last play you can see how electrifying this guy is and how special he is after he makes the catch if I'm on offense I'm trying to find a lot lot of ways to get him touches in this game he's got it down to the one yd line right on the doorstep of per now the offense tries to punch it in on second and goal well you obviously want to get your receivers the football down here in the Red Zone but and he takes it in for the score touchdown South Carolina they'll try to add another to their lead and with the extra point they pushed the lead out a little further almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown Carolina and he takes this from inside the five you're not getting him on the ground still on his feet he was hoping for something a little more Dynamic but they get him on the ground at the 20 vanderbeld has it back and heading out to go on the attack the last time we saw this offense we had to look quick it was a three and out J and the quarterback goes down at the 11 y line after getting nothing done on the last one this is a big play second and long from the 11 Johnson wants to throw it he's got it man at the 35 he's loose the expressway is wide open seizing that open space an opportunity all the way inside the Red Zone they'll mark it at the 19 this guy's gotten off to a good statistical start guys with that last completion he's already now over th passing yards on the season and man you know he's looking for more out of the gun the give to the back he's knocked down in the back field he'll lose a couple you know when you're playing against a defense of this caliber you're going to have to have some sort of balance right you can't just drop back and throw at every single play nothing going on that last run they're going to have to find another way to get it going hand in the ball oh he makes the catch he makes the stop almost as soon as he catches it and they short a first down I know everyone's yelling like you didn't get the first down we need more yards but think about it nice short completion sets up a third down and guess what nowadays fourth down Green Light we're going to go for it anyways he's got it down the middle they're able to get him stopped just shy of the first down marker right there I think you need a better play call you got to help your quarterback out a little bit because the throw has got to at least make it to the sticks on that last play You're basically trusting touchdown Bandy reeled it in and just made the house call now that's the way to bail out the rest of the team start with bad field position put together a drive anyway and very confident you can see the quarterback just had a bit of a Swagger re he was like look all right we're starting deep in our on end special teams didn't help us out but we can fix that right now fellas and they went out and looked so good on that last Drive nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 and the South Carolina offense is back on the field they go to the end of round to start the drive that'll get him thinking on the move at the 30 finally run out of bounds but he has this hopit rolling with a first down man this guy has got a lot of speed they've got to try to be thoughtful in how they get in the football they're going to throw it to him in this game but how about using the Jet Sweep getting him out to the outside into the open field and he shows you the burners he is going nowhere stop at the line of scrimmage let's see what they've got on second down to throw it's sers and that's going to be incomplete a lot of contact on the play but no Flags it'll be third down they line up with some serious work to do if they want to convert this one they run the reverse makes it pass to marker l green grass as he gets it to the 31 well it's a nice change up play on offense there on that third down going with the Jets s to keep this drive alive the option look and he's brought down after a nice game I love when players understand the situations and they understand where the first down marker is and they understand where I got to get to a lot of people you'll see run your got enough space and he'll finish the run in the end zone touchdown game Cs and I like the running backs offici sees the hole explodes through it he knows where the goal line is Gets In The End Zone gets six let's go to the studio now and check in with Kevin Connor Kevin what do in the air intercepted he was trying to get that return going instead he'll hand it to his offense at the 38 the offense starts with a short field it's revers and that was a creative play call but a better defensive play to stop it for no game and now on second down for this offense on the option now the pitch pass to first down marker still running perfectly timed on that pitch and they pick up the first down on the play it's now first and 10 from the 24 yd line he'll pitch it smashes him with the stiff arm he's up to 86 yds on the ground in just another day at the office for the national leader in rushing and the Gamecock will line it up on First and 10 he's going to pass pressure coming nobody open he just throws it away and it'll bring up second down well the offensive line has got to give him at least a little bit of time to survey the field he had no chance that time getting hit almost immediately after he got the ball on second down he'll try to make the connection what we knew coming into this game this offense was going to try and get this receiver involved and get him involved early so here they are just finding an easy completion it's not a touchdown but they just want to get this guy lathered up and get him into a on the option quick toss touchdown game cop he ran through tackles like water through a s no midseason dos for these guys as they push out the lead in week six you just simply can't say enough about this guy and what he has meant to this offense Big Time Players make big plays in big games he has shown up each and every week that's his 15th Russian SC on the season he'll start the return inside his five nice job executing all of the assignments as they put a stop to that return at the 22 vanderbelt has the ball again and here comes that Commodore offense after that last pick David they really need to take care of the ball this time no doubt and Palmer I want to know what Spurrier said to you on this there he goes to the right he's at the 40 he's at the 20 and he takes it all the way they couldn't stop him touchdown vanderbel man this guy is such a weapon because he's so dangerous if he gets into the second level great vision and then D shows you the speed just straight Wheels erasing angles a lot of times when you're chasing guys that are so fast like this you're like I got him I got him no I do not what a big long touchdown run had those stats young fell and the coverage team able to wrestle him down here comes the offense on first down they'll crank up this drive with the pass and the quarterback is knocked down back at the 13 a first down sack can wreck a drive let's see what they've got on second and 14 looking to throw it's sers moving out to the right slings it down field holds it in he's R out of bounds but big play on that one and it'll be a first down this offense is like running a Perfection drill in practice against air chunk play after chunk play and here they come again that's about as close as you can get to that marker and it will be second and just a few breaths away from the first down and they'll come to the line with less than a yard they can't gal the pitch the ball's on the ground the D Scoops it up and everybody reverses field touchdown door the defense with the scoop and score what a big time play for the defense not only forcing the fumble but scooping it up taking it all the way to the house that's how you change the momentum of a football game they're out there to kick it off the return team must rivet that ball to their rib cage can't afford another turnover he'll bring it back from inside the spot really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey he's looking to throw it moves around to clear up the vision all kinds of room to throw that one in there and he was loose and not stopped until he gets to the 47 yd line they were backed up and then suddenly they weren't they got it first and 10 now inside the 50 gets it pass to marker oh work out touchdown South Carolina he broke away from the defense and they couldn't catch him yeah coming into the game you look at the stats and you say top 10 offense in scoring so they better be able to create what explosive plays explosive plays they've been doing it all year long those plays are back Breakers defenses just can't contain this offense lining up to tack one more onto that lead and with the extra point they're now up by a touchdown and a field goal at 10 kickoff team has the ball teed up in there about ready to go on the move from inside is five really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 Vanderbilt has it back in heading out to go on the attack the way this game started you feel as if you have to score a touchdown every time time you have it and now we'll see if they can respond yeah and I wonder how much pressure that puts on the offense Jesse like you know this is back and forth that I got to score and every possession matters so much what does that do to you as a quarterback well it puts a lot more pressure on you for sure to feel like I got and the heat gets there and they get him down at the 14 yd line on the but for this defense finally you're seeing pressure on the quarterback they're outside the top 50 in sacks per game they've been waiting to find some more consist pressure to help them win games and they're getting it in this game now three sacks on the day they're just simply winning and doing a better job executing up front at the point of attack he's going to have enough to pick up the first down as they stop him at the 33 yd line time winding down in the quarter as they come to the line Johnson wants to throw it fires to the big fella and with that stop we are headed toward the end of the first quarter tack from seven second that's the end of the quarter and South Carolina has the lead that was about as exciting a first quarter as you could possibly have numbers are impressive as we look at the stats game as we open the second period and they try to find a way to answer they'll line up for a second down play he's looking to to throw I don't think that's the way they drew it up incomplete in a competitive conference like the SEC you just can't afford to start 0 and one if you want to chase a championship really important to get off to a good start no doubt in the SEC you've got to set the tone intercepted looking for more room running inside the 20 and he will roll into the end zone touchdown game CS look a lot of time left there's a little bit of distance right now being put on the scoreb there is but it's so awesome when you're a defense and you study all week about what's coming and what routes to be ready for and then you jump the route and you make the plays and you just go get in that End Zone it is so beautiful they're lining up to kick it off after the pick six and that defense will come out feeling it 21 on the run from inside his own five is tack Vanderbilt has the ball again and here comes that Commodore offense trailing Now by 17 David this is an opportunity that they need to answer and down by seven hits the accelerator to the right inside the 30 inside the 10 touchdown Kors and once he got loose it was all over really nice job working the route and getting himself open he was able to locate the football snag it out of the air and this guy now has five receiving touchdowns on the year about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown here he comes from inside his own five not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 and the offense takes the field ready to go back to work looking to go up top on first down and the ball's out and they're after it defense coming up with a huge fumble recovery and he's brought down and this defense gets the ball back for its own couldn't order better field position for this offense they move the tight end all over out of the gun the inside hand off to the running back got some room enter to the goal line huge game before he goes out of bounds and now they've got it first and goal this offensive scoring position with a fresh set of downs turning to the running game on first and goal fighting for the end zone and he dropped it oh looks as if the defense got it they're backed up first and 10 from inside their own five and they'll try to get this drive started he'll ride his man on the option he just broke the century mark 100 yd rushing and this guy is just having a tremendous season leading the country in Russia oh it's a reverse and it's on the ground that football must be riveted to your rib cage how can you let it go at least they fell on it first and 10 from their own 17 he'll toss it they'll wrestleing down just short of the first down I don't even think they're going to bring out the change to measure this one line getting set on second down and with that last carry ended triple digits over 100 yds for the day and he's showing you power he's showing you speed he's showing you make you miss he really is showing you he's a complete back and by the way it's still the first half the Gamecocks are rolling down the field most offensive coordinators want to be really aggressive on second and short and I love the quarterback here he drops back the pass thinking being aggressive nothing available scramble give me an easy first down and this quarterb wasn't thinking about taking off the running with that one he was outside the pocket but he kept his eyes down the field he kept reading the coverage he was surveying to find an open Target accurate can't anyone catch him and this defense's head is spinning he gets it down to the 27 and the game Cox will snap it on First and 10 defensively I've got to be able to communicate and you can call him a receiver if you want to Reese but this guy you know how Dynamic he is with the ball in his hand so I got to understand understand leverage and when he goes in motion when he gets the football I got to understand how to make sure I keep him inside make all of my guys inside run inside out to the football make the play defense has to do a better job communicating and understanding that guy is a weapon just couldn't find an open man he'll get rid of it and it'll be second down doesn't take this defense a lot of time to get to the quarterback man they've got speed all over the place they hit him so quickly and because of that the ball Falls incomplete hxs are threatening on first and goal well it just seems like everything is working for the offense on this drive another touchdown game cop and they take it in for six more points they'll try to add another to their lead the kick is up and good and put one more on the lead about to kick it away after scoring the touchdown and he takes this from inside the five really disciplined job by the coverage unit to get down there and make the stop at the 19 vanderbel has it back and heading out to go on the attack after giving up that score now it's incumbent on this offense to kind of get a back and forth going Jesse in this game they got to put some points on the board here there's obviously a lot of football to go so it's not necessarily Panic time just yet but I'm getting the ball into the hands of my best Playmakers on this D I hear you but not panic time have you seen my defense I mean I'm not trusting him to get a lot of stops he puts a lot of pressure on this offense no sir not this time the defense was there and ready for that one this defense is kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long and that's incomplete a Defender all over him knocked the ball to the ground fourth down coming up commodor will hunt this one away let's see if he can help the coverage team out with this one makes a move boy did he show it all on that return the speed the explosiv this and took a little momentum with him out of bounds and the South Carolina offense is back on the field how about that blocking up front in that running game last time as they just pulls it in in the end zone touchdown South Carolina well this offense is top 10 in the country in points per game because they've got a lot of speed and they've got home run hitters they score fast they don't need 10 plays to go down the field you saw it right there they've recruited well they've got Playmakers they're going to be a problem for defenses all year long he'll start the return inside his spot good job by the coverage unit to stop the return man we'll see the offense make it way onto the field here hoping for a successful Drive motion from the offense here's the handoff he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three not what they had in mind to start this drive here comes second and 13 Johnson looking to throw he's got him in the flat and a good job of coverage by that defense just a short pick up not exactly the ideal situation for this offense third and long back up inside their 20 from the gun wants to pass right down the middle makes a connection and he's brought down after a nice game it'll be first and 10 from the 30 the magic bean is spinning out of control already over 200 yds in the first half yeah they're being aggressive offensively throwing the football trying to take advantage of this defense on the back end they've got their quarterback right now in a gr second down got three on first down it's second and seven the back goes in motion on second down he'll F takes the easy completion the defense wouldn't let him loose there and it was a completion but they lost yardage and a really nice job by the defense winning second down I think the quarterback thought could dump this off maybe get some positive yards set up a good third down the defense did a great job responding and getting that running back on the ground well I think on that play you saw why this guy's such a big weapon in this offense that receiver he does such a nice job with his routes he's patient and he's consistent and he's got good hands you don't see him put a lot of balls on the ground nice job there picking up the first down my old coach said you'll never go broke taking a profit take what's there take the positive yards and never complain caught over the middle it's Barrett and the defense stops him just short the first down maybe needed a few more chain links to move the stti they've mastered third down in this drive converting twice now they need just a few inches he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three and the commodor will bring the punt team onto the field great job by the whole defense but how about the little bitty defensive back throwing his face in the fan I ain't scared I don't just cover guys I make tackles South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey this has been exactly the way you draw things up David the offense has really been moving the football and it's been great execution they've done exactly what they wanted to do build the lead now Palmer's is a different an now you got to protect it you can tell they were paying attention in practice this week in the film room because they have gone out everybody right now on the same page now the pitch and that one will go in reverse the defense all over that pitch on the option you make up the game plan and not a lot on the play sheet for this third and long from inside their own 20 back to throw it's sers outside the pocket lets it go it's caught down field and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one hey the defense knew coming into this one this guy was going to be a factor but they have done nothing to stop him they don't have any answers this guy already has over a 100 yards receiving and we're not even done the half they're bringing heat fires to the tight end and just a short safe pass play they pick up a few nice job by the defense stake glue to getting him on the ground as soon as he catches the football knowing he's a threat I'm not going to let this guy get out of my sights nice job by the D second down coming up he's looking to throw and he can't escape and down he goes and they've been waiting for something good to happen with respected getting after the quarterback right they're outside of the top 100 in the country in sacks per game but finally now you see their generating this pass rush three sacks on the game so far that pass not close as he got drilled trying to deliver it and it'll bring up fourth down the commodor line up to punt it away fair catch called for and made Vanderbilt has the ball again and here comes that Commodore offense Man David that last drive an exercising frustration just couldn't pay it off for the score yeah and I think this defense is riding the bed but don't break philosophy don't give up explosive plays this offense Jesse has to find a way to manufacture some big plays and some scoring opportunities man I don't know if they're going to win David if they have to keep driving 8 10 12 plays you're right you got to find chunk play somewhere so identify the guys that can score touchdowns and get them the ball not many receivers like to get hit they just don't okay they're primon that's what they are that's who they are nice job by the defender you could tell he was catching the football he was going to put a hit on him to make sure he had to think about something later and you could see the ball pop out to the he took a hit as he threw it and couldn't deliver the football it's incomplete and fourth Down's coming yet another punt on the way got to make sure that hamstring stays loose he's been busy excellent coverage that time didn't give him any room to set up a big return and the South Carolina offense is back on the field looking to move it through the air fires to the right a strike downfield and they don't drag him down until he gets all the way to the 46 yd line offense getting set for first down this guy is just wearing them out another first down already has a couple of touchdowns in the first hit the afterburners kid touchdown gamec and once he found open space the band might as well start playing this offense is so good man they can hurt you in so many different ways and they do it so quick so explosive they can put small Drives together big Drives together they've really had a great year and that's why they're a top 10 offense 2 he'll bring it back from inside his SP and returner will be dragged down first down here with time for maybe one more play until the two-minute warning they'll run it out of the shotgun he's knocked down in the back field he'll who a couple we've reached a two-minute warning and this thing has been onesided and they hope to at least have something to feel good about going into halftime Johnson wants to throw it and it'll be incomplete this is some physical pass defense this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on Third and long and sure tackling there to keep him from getting to the first down marker and the commodor will line up to pun it away he'll try to really get into this one on the move it's Bennett running through contact this guy is a daring punt return man he's not going to settle for the fair catch a solid return gets a little bit of ground for the offense moving out of the pocket got his Man Down field and the defense couldn't Coral him and he took it all the way coou down game c you know often times in college football the best offenses are the ones that can create explosive plays just like you saw right there they're top 10 in the nation in points per game because they don't have to drive the field they've got dudes scattered all over this offense that can take it the distance on any given play and the return man has no place to run no place to hide and a place to be tackled vanderville has it back and heading out to go on the attack these guys have taken some body blows in the first half but now a chance to do something to feel a little better going into halftime re they got to respond now they they they got to put points on the board right here cut into this deficit create a little bit of momentum because this one's going to get out of hand otherwise yeah there are a lot of offenses out there that might just say okay let's just regroup and figure it out this offense doesn't have time with they've got to be aggressive they've got to throw it down field they've got to score points they'll go to the air on Third and short the quick out he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down the commodor come to the line with a fresh set of downs Johnson looking to throw takes the easy throw in the flat a timeout is called as this offense tries to find away to get more points on the board before the half on second down looking to throw got his man quickly put it right on him sweet play good pick up and they'll move the chain with the first down we've got a timeout here late in the first half and they'll try to get more points on the board before the break got a man it's Barrett they're ripping off chunks of yardage they get it to the 33 this offense absolutely humming as they come to the line again they'll throw it on first down quickly to the tight end and he'll step across the sidelines after making a good gain on that one offense walks to the line for play number seven of the drive looking to pass on second down wide open downfield and he cruises his way to the house touchdown Bandy man nice job getting the passing game going this is big man going to the half listen I know you're trailing but building some momentum maybe this second half we can keep airing the football out cutting into this deficit and who knows what the heck on the move from inside is five slips through the line got him in the room and there he goes he'll take it to the house touch down South Carolina boy nothing electrifies the stadium like a return for a touchdown it's always so exciting cuz you don't see him very often you got to go so many yards 80 90 yards at a time what a great job by the returners showing the speed providing the electricity there's a reason they're all jacked up it's because that awesome kickoff and the extra points withit the upright [Music] [Applause] you get that touchdown right before the half build the momentum and the last thing you need to do is mess it up by allowing a big kickoff return fielded In The End Zone it's brown he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 they'll come out and take a knee and that should send us to halftime we played two quarters here time to go to Kevin Connors in our halftime update men it is hard to beat Columbia when that town is buzzing as it is today and it' be easy to say these two offenses are glad we've hit halftime based on their respective performances it would also be accurate turnover and sacks have told the story so far and you got to believe the play calling has been the issue right time to shred those game plans and just get back to basics and with that let's send it back to the guys on the corner of George Rogers Boulevard and Bluff Road Williams Bryce Stadium [Music] and the commodor will boot it away to start the second half from inside the 10yd line he'll bring it back he was looking for more Running Room but none to be found as he stopped at the 23 South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey first play of the drive it's the end of round at the 35 he's open they finally get him on the ground some of the big running play moves to change for the first down big Chun play to start this drive now they'll really try to take it to this defense they're trying to get to him Fire's on the Move he's got an open man and they'll finally catch up to him but not before a big chunk of yardage is picked up they keep coun of their number of explosive plays and that last one has them set up first and 10 at the 19 and the the defense not fool at all as they stop this play at the line This offense has a second down play it is so easy when you're a defensive player when you watch a little misdirection the ball go one way to turn and to run it's loose and the defense has it everybody reverse scaped turns it on down the left side the 40 the 30 at the 20 what a effort to get that fumble and take it the other way and just about house the thing this defense practices creating turnovers they do it all week long whether it's interceptions whether it's recovering fumbles and you see how excited they get look at the energy this defense has once this Defender is off and running that was a big time play can the defense stop him again on second and goal wide out in motion go straight ahead they bring him down and he's going to lose a yard on that one man and that's a frustrating play when you go in reverse near the goal line go to go situations Palmer you got to get those positive he makes a catch in the end zone touch down vanderbelt what a grab it what a quick strike for that offense and when I'm an offensive coordinator and I see a short field I'm thinking attack attack attack go get that touchdown take advantage of what the defense gave you great job by the offensive board on the run from inside his own five and he is brought down but there is a penalty marker on the [Applause] field so the decision has been made and the coach will take the penalty offense set on first [Applause] down it's a reverse pass to s and he may get more and there they go again another huge gain on the ground well it's a long gain on the Jet Sweep how good is he in the open field guys making guys miss he's allowing his blocks to set up and then getting up Field small gain I know but again the defense knows he's going to run the football he's willing to run the football not just drop back and pass make him on to the Run game you got to do a lot of this on the option he'll toss it still on his feet at the 45 finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down and the Gamecock come to the line with a new set of [Music] downs going up top on first down stepping to the right got him downfield brought down just outside the Red Zone he moves the chains it's at the 22 really want to try to pick up at least half of the yardage needed on first and 10 looking to pass it's sers looking to scramble he's going to run it and they'll finally get him down after a terrific pickup you can tell this is a pass play he has his eyes down the field he's looking to throw the football how nice is it when you got a guy like this that can scramble and go get you a first down just really hard to stop from a defensive perspective and this will be incomplete a big hit there forces second down going to work in the Red Zone they can pick up the first down without getting it into the end zone they run the reverse touchdown game Cs and the puming has started the identity of this offense is their ability to run the football they're doing that in this game that's now three rushing touchdowns on the day and the extra point just tacks a little bit more onto this huge lead lining up to cover the kick after that touchdown Drive South Carolina here he comes from inside his own five and the returner will be brought down Vander will Vanderbilt has the ball again and here comes that Commodore offense there's certainly still a hill to climb they've got to make sure these drives pay off got a touchdown last time can back it up here well and it's amazing in a football game how sometimes they'll surprise you with what you do once you get settled and you realize what's going on now I'm comfortable with it Jesse this offense looked comfortable on this last Drive they sure did it looked like they started to find some momentum so now it's on this defense to stop that all right you're a little bit upset based on what just happened the previous drive you got to Bow up again and go back to what was working earlier in this game they couldn't make the connection on second down now a third and seven to keep the drive alive got it in the middle it's Barrett and the big gain and they've got it on the 46 you get a play like that and you feel like you can go in and finish the deal it'll be first and 10 from just inside the 50 they're going back to the ground and he has a solid gain before the defense bottles him up I know the passing game sells and the passing game is exciting but it's not exciting to get five or six yards a pop on the ground but it will be very successful it's a draw he's dropped behind the line of scrimmage that'll be a loss of three and they sniff that draw out a draw you you going have to sell that pass like you're going to throw the ball down the field but the defensive line the defense was not biting it you could tell they were ready for it came got on the running back got him on the ground quick fast commodor will call on their H Team yeah the Q decided to take it himself he got a little bit of pressure you could see and decided to take off scramble and couldn't get the first down and now it's Fourth Down decision time no matter where it is on the field or what the distance is you know there's a chance we still might go for it quarterback changing the plays at the line off the play fake on first down to throw and they couldn't make the connection on the long shot he had him open there and I know this quarterback expects to make that throw it's a tough throw cuz again you got a couple steps on a guy that's not wide open these DBS are so fast but that is a throw that you do expect a guy like that that caliber to be able to play a little pitch and catch and make that happen third and short they've got them back up inside the 20 and the D can get the ball back here he'll pitch it and that's what this option will do to you they got the pitch man free and he was off to the RAC they'll put it in play from the 27 first down this is an offense that leads the nation in first downs because there's so many different ways they can attack you they're versatile they could throw it they could run it they've got so much balance that's what makes them so hard to [Applause] [Music] stop trying to find his man on first down escapes the pressure going right he'll try to do it himself defense is all about creating negative plays and he does a really good job at the quarterback spot of not taking sacks like that's a great job he wants to throw the football the clock goes off he takes off and gets a positive game they've been running it but now the pass just a short pass to the tight end they'll move the chains after he gets it to the 43 yd line well offensively they knew they were going to have some matchups they could take advantage of in this one and all of a sudden this quarterback has now over 300 yd passing in the game defensively David he has got them on their heels and he's been showing you a little bit of everything he can throw it all over the field to all different receivers to his tight ends to his running backs really has the ability to spread it around and now over 300 yards still some time left and he can put up even bigger numbers and hey go chase some awards man get some postseason Awards get an all Amer just put up a day this defense has got to get better at tackling in the open field of gang tackling because if you need three or four guys to bring a guy down have fun with that looking downfield it's sers buying some time as he moves left trying to make magic with his feet the Gamecock will move the sticks third and short is just so hard to play when you got quarterbacks that can do this cuz you got to play the pass you got to drop back a little bit but then he has the ability to crease you a little bit on Third and short go pick up that big first down that's it all kinds of room to throw that one in there that is exactly what you're looking for when you talk explosive ways the defense finally able to make the Stop and the Gamecocks getting set on First and 10 it's reverse got some room headed to the goal line the ball out of your hands get it to your playmaker a lot of times he'll dance and make even bigger plays than he did here but it was still a positive game hand off to the lone back and they try the middle of this Stout defense and they arise the challenge it's looking like they're going to have to throw this one in now on third down David you know the execution just has to be spot on timing especially at the quarterback position here and thinking about the defense they're aggressively and he will score touchdown doors this game must be moving so slowly for this quarterback he sees everything two or three beats ahead way ahead I mean it's been been really really easy I better get some more hits on them I better do something to make him feel uncomfortable cuz right now it's just like oh you're running that yeah that's easy I mean he's already read your mail you better change the address do something different he was looking for some Running Room but not much to be found as he stopped at the 18 and the South Carolina offense is back on the field they use the end round first play of the drive that'll get the eyes moving he just never got started going forward a huge loss of eight on the play wants to throw it's sellers fires on the move a strike downfield all kinds of room to the right T touchdown South Carolina and The Stomping has commenced I like it you're backed up towards the end zone and you go aggressive and spin the football try to make the big play and do they ever 90 plus yards to the house who needs space I'll take six almost ready to kick it away after scoring the touchdown and he takes this from inside the five nice job by the kickoff team everybody stayed in their lanes and they'll stop him at the 16 line gets set first down they'll leave it with him ran to that daylight to pick up six to the 22 coaches always harp about staying ahead of the chains and when you can run with that type of efficiency on first down man you are doing just that he's play he's been churning out big play after big play already over a 100 yards rushing in this game he's carrying his weight he needs his buddies around him now to pick up the slack a little bit and help get this team back in the game now they'll run the draw One Step WRA two-step squeeze this junior knows how to get him on the ground third and short from the 44 and we might know if they plan to go for it on fourth down by what they call here it's a draw he's able to fight his way for a couple of yards but it'll be fourth down and three and the commodor will send out the punt unit he'll bring it back it's Bennett he gets a block and they final run him out of bounds a huge gain to wrap up the third quarter and this defense will start the fourth on its heels that's the end of the quarter and South Carolina has the lead let's take a quick look at the national rankings to see how this playoff race is shaping up quarter comeback back at it to open the quarter with this first down play now on the option he'll toss it he has the first still on his feet a tremendous run he was full four after taking that pitch just sweet execution just inside the Red Zone first and 10 from the 19 oh it's a reverse he rolls all the way down to the 5 yd line before they finally get him stopped the Gamecock will try to put one on the board on first and goal BL BL here comes the option now the toss they're just going to have to and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack yeah and this defense they got their ears pinned back they know exactly what time it is with the big lead in the fourth quarter they've already got a bunch of sacks on the day today and they're looking for more he's going to go down and he's in his own End Zone it's going to be a safety after giving up that safety they'll have to boot it away and give it right back to them you could tell the defense smelled it they knew exactly where they were on the field put the pressure on him got him down in the end zone safety baby everybody needs a little luck and the offense just got it by Falling on that fumble never underestimate the power of moving forward and creating breathing room as they mark it at the 17 here comes the offense on second down back to pass it's sers unleashes one he makes a catch After Burner coming the 20 touchdown game cop and the punishment has been extended that one ought to give him firm control with this game and they have gotten things going here about to move to 4 and one and this always is the debate of where you fall it's your job to stop me or I should get conserved because this offense obviously has had themselves a day and apparently their day is not over they're going to continue to keep scoring and the defense better do something about it Vanderbilt has the ball again and here comes that Commodore offense and the last time they had the ball they wound up giving up a safety Jesse yeah that was UNG good the last time they had the ball so they got to do something here offensively to get into a rhythm running and throwing the football try to find that consistency and try to find something positive with this offense forget about the safety those don't happen very often try to get some first downs together get some good mojo going he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense quarterback stands alone all wide receivers they'll throw it on first down using the quick game they make the stop after the catch and still some work to do to pick up that first down the completion short of the sticks it's second down he's looking to throw gets it out quickly the commodor get up for the first down using him out of the slot he is just been Unstoppable and I love putting Dynamic athletes in the slot that I can move around that I can put in motion that I can I can make him go in or out I can put him off the ball so you can't get hands on him and they've really featured this guy today and the commodor will have it first and 10 Ed the play fake now to throw and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack negative play on first down that's what a defense always wants and I tell you what if I'm this QB I am ill as a horn at my offensive line are you kidding me that's the he smashes his way through again they make the stop but not before he takes a chunk out of what they need to move the sticks now I think this receiver Forte is his route running he's a guy that can line up all over the field but it's not just catching post routes and goes this guy can run shallows he can run Slants he can run the option routes and find soft spots in the defense this guy really has all the routes in his toolbx that pass is well off Target got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on third down right down the boulevard it's good I wouldn't say they cut into the deficit they sort of microscopically uh edged off the deficit still a mount decline he'll start the return inside his spot couldn't find a way to create that broken field as he stopped at the 25 South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive Odyssey this off def has really been clicking in the game so far Jesse no doubt everything their play caller is dialing up these guys offensively have been able to go out and execute yeah and it's just maintaining the lead keep doing what you've been doing you got a big lead let's just keep piling it on until they find an answer it's a reverse got room at the 35 got a lot of Running Room touchdown South Carolina and the pbbl Ling has has started now they've got a little breathing room after that score and a week six Victory is in the offing it appears and these offenses getting the Rhythm they're hard to stop already up early got a short field take advantage of it too get another touchdown this offense is doing whatever they want to do and having a lot of success he'll bring it back from inside to SP and the returner will be knocked down vanderbel has it back and heading out to go on the attack Jesse they had to kick a field goal the last time they had it yeah often times early in games you're just trying to find your Rhythm some things work some don't on that first drive Dave it' be interesting to see what happens here in the second Drive yeah you got to feel for the defense now you understand what they're trying to do what their game plan is now you get to go into phase two of your game plan the short hands it's brown and he almost ran away from everybody on that one a huge pick up on that play the offense will will put it in play from the 47 on First and 10 he's going to pass coming after it and the defense gets to the quarterback the defense has been so dominant up front you've seen it in these passing situations that now the seventh sack of the game scanning the field it's sticky and his throw is incomplete no doubt that was the primary target the quarterback wanted just not on the same page on that on Third and long you'll need to push it down field gets it out fast he ended up going backwards on the play and they will not convert that third down the commodor send out the punt unit running it back it's Bennett he's got great speed turns like that or why you don't settle for the fair catch if you don't have to picks up just a little bit yards to help out the O they'll come out on this drive and let it rip on the Run fires downfield he's got it they've got the defense reeling right now with that big play to the 29 you know I love offensive coordinators that want to stay aggressive and they've come up with big plays all game long it's a big reason why they have this lead right now and they're not backing off here in the fourth quarter they're letting their guys go play the entire Playbook is open to them and they're taking [Applause] shots with the catch it's Jacob and another big game for this offense they are putting explosive pass after explosive pass up in this one and the Gamecocks line it up with a first and [Music] goal they'll go to the air snags it and he won't be able to get in as the defense gets him down at the one the Gamecocks want to crank the tempo on second down wants to throw it touchdown gamec and the route is on climbing up to tack one more onto that lead and the extra point will tack another one onto this lead about to kick it off after punching it in for the touchdown on the move from inside is five and good work by the coverage team to knock down the return man vanderville has the ball again and here comes that Commodore offense they just didn't quite find the Rhythm on that last Drive Jesse they had to punt it I think they got to be more physical David I think up front they got to do a better job getting blocks and establishing this running game and how easy does football become if you're the more physical team if you can threaten the run and then then run play action it opens up the whole offense at your disposal and it's incomplete it was wild high and wide on that one not exactly the ideal situation for this offense third and long backed up inside their 20 to the air it's dicki looking for a huge play he holds it in and nobody's close pass the tag slippery slide find his way and ran away from the crowd into the end zone touchdown cadoo yeah nice pitch nice catch and listen maybe this helps next game right like we're trying to find a rhythm find something that works find somebody to go to and this offense is struggling you're down by a thousand but I like that they continue to fight on the run from inside his own five he only needs a sliver of daylight oh what Vision there he goes open it up he will score TCH down game c I'll tell you you're lucky if you're watching a college football game you see one return for a touchdown that's now his second of the game this guy is absolutely lethal he's shown you his open field running ability he's shown you his speed I'll be shocked if anybody kicks his way the rest of this game and the rest of the season and The Return Man is stopped and that'll leave it up to the offense on the next drive vanderbeld has it back and heading out to go on the attack they're going to throw it to start the drive got his man downfield he knew exactly where he wanted to go with that one and they've got enough for the first down here's this offense with a fresh set of downs he'll come out throwing on first down catch in the middle it's Coleman there to make the tackle but the big throw is good enough to give them a first down here's this off def with a fresh set of downs a little pre- snap eye candy for the defense and the physical play there forces the incompletion on first down at this point of the game in the fourth quarter it is going to be tough for this offense to get some completions here because now trailing by this much the defense is expecting pass and they're putting a whole bunch of extra DBS on the field to help them out in coverage and that pass will be Jarred loose on second down that brings up third down if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum on Third and long he has to throw for it finds a man on the left he's run out of bounds but a big play on that one and it'll be a first down and the commodor come to the line with a fresh set of downs looking to throw it again finds his tight end oh what a move he's run out of bounds but not before turning in a big pickup and moving the sticks for a first down the commodor looking to take advantage of this Red Zone trip and that incomplete pass caused by the big hit on first down second down coming after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on second down these DBS going to give a little cushion makes grab and he will score touchdown Bandy and this has been a rough day for this offense and finally some good things to happen build some momentum maybe for the future you know that's that's the way the coaches spin it when you're getting beat up and you're getting destroyed like let's let's find something for the future let's keep fighting let's keep working this team's done that put some points on the board so it's not all bad here he comes from inside his own five and he'll be brought down after a solid eff on that return and the South Carolina offense is back on the field comes out throwing on first down trying to escape and get it himself finally run out of bounds but he has this offense rolling with a first down we talk a lot about this at quarterback right hard focused downfield soft focus around him he wanted to throw that downfield he just felt the pressure he knew he had to get out of danger he was able to do that use his speed go get North up the field for a first down well done they'll snap it from the 39 first and 10 to the air it's sers now moving to his right looking for anyone that's open it's complete he will step out of bounds but not before the big pick up and a first down for this offense his offense lines up feeling awfully good after that big Play3 [Applause] and he want that clock to run trying to run it in in the Red Zone he's got four and he's down at the 12 solid pick up of four on first down it's second and six from the gun the running back tries to hit the hole ball is loose defense just cradling that fumble and securing it and he's brought down and this defense gets the ball back for its own first and 10 from inside their own five you got to take care of the ball but there is room to take a shot here pass the sticks him still on his feet and chunk plays are the name of the game and they get one here before the defense finally makes the stop first and 10 he's looking to throw it finds a tight end and that is good versatility there and a big hit from the backer in pass coverage second down here and maybe they've got time to get one more snap off before the two-minute [Applause] warning he's looking to throw unloads it left a beautifully placed ball to the outside in the tow drag for the big pickup just nosing into enemy territory at the 49 it's first and 10 used the play fake now to throw just had to get rid of that one good job to fight another play and here comes the offense on second down misfired on the last play they'll go back to the air that's caught it's Coleman and that was some kind of collision between a couple of big bodies there and he stopped from getting the first down quickly complete good job running that route to get past the sticks because he got nothing after the catch now on First and 10 from the 35 and that's good enough for looking to move it through the air oh he's going to take a shot at the DB I'm sorry you're unlikely to win today but here's a fabulous Parting Gift a late touchdown yeah good for them they put together a drive they they got a touchdown it's been a bad day I mean this is a day they're going to want to forget they're getting destroyed but at least you get some positive vibes maybe maybe finish this game on a little bit of a high note a little bit they'll try to attack one more on their [Applause] score right down the middle we check in turn the page and get ready for the next opponent and forget this day ever happened now they've got it at the 44 on First and 10 use the play fake now to throw shoots it to the left incomplete he had it right in his hands for the pick and I believe he might have been thinking about those big plays he's known for instead it'll be second down unloads to the wide out he's got got it a huge gain on that one before he ran out of bounds and he has the first down and the commodor come to the line with a new set of downs from the Red Zone looking for a space didn't have much of a choice there but to get rid of it and this is just one of those days man where everything has gone wrong right like they just haven't been in a rhythm they haven't they haven't got it going and never built the momentum this is this one of those days you learn from you try to grow from a lot of things that we going to show in the FI room that people aren't going to like but hopefully you can learn from it and do better next time defense will take a timeout with 28 seconds left quarterback feeling the pressure and down he goes at the 22 defense will use a timeout 22 seconds remaining in the game they'll try to get something out of this drive and kick the field goal here on fourth down it's good and the field goal is good they get three on the board but that really doesn't matter much in terms of the deficit so they were able to put up a three spot on that last drive and now the kickoff team out there as they prepare to put boot to leather not a lot of space to be found good Hustle by the coverage team and they stop him at the 21 South Carolina ready to go on the attack in another offensive ay now the chance to take a knee and just it's a fumble on the play the offense somehow fell on it and they'll retain possession time out is called with just a single second left time out South Carolina one more play to pad the stats quarterback checking the play dropping back it's sers he rifles one deep to the left he's loose he's at the tag takes it in into the end zone for the touchdown on the final play the Danel the epilog the finishing touch and you knew this one was over already but how about an but you know listen you got to get a few stops late in the game you got to get one actually just kind of one stop with this many points in being scored you got the stop late that's why you got the D
