Houston mother PLEADS for help to bring missing daughter home, demands answers

Now at this hour, a Galveston County mom wants your help bringing her missing daughter home. Fox 26, is Damali Keith joining us live along McGregor and third Ward, where that woman disappeared. Emily Yeah. Caroline. Three Saturdays ago, Maria Gaffney says she brought her daughter here to the psychiatric center on McGregor in third Ward. And she says she thought her 42, 42 year old daughter, Chanel Pierre, had been admitted. But she says the next day she got a phone call from her daughter and her daughter told her she was somewhere completely different and she hasn't heard from her since. Tell me about the last time you saw your daughter, Chanel. The last time I saw her was on August the 9th, when I took her to UT Harris County Psych Center on McGregor. She was having a manic behaviors and so we were not able to get her to settle down or calm down. So I asked her what she go there and get treated, and she agreed because she suffers mental illness, she suffers mental illness. She's a schizophrenic paranoia. We've been searching homeless camps. We try to go to shelters and call shelters. How concerned for Chanel are you? I'm very concerned because I. She'd never been missing this long. And I want you to know that mommy loves you. You hear me? I love you and nothing will ever change that. She has two children, and we very concerned. We haven't heard from her since August. August the 10th. And we want her home. We love her. We just don't want nothing bad to have happened to her. The Houston Police Department confirms HPD investigators are also searching for Chanel. Pierre.
