hey guys so Apple has now officially released the latest IOS 18 update for airpods pro second generation the latest firmware update 7A 294 is now available for download for airpods pro Second Generation and of course in this video I want to talk about everything that's new within the latest airpods firmer updates so let's go ahead and Dive Right In so the first thing to note is that this latest update 78 294 is only available at the moment for airpods pro second generation once Apple releases addition of firm updates for other airpod models I'll let you guys know in the description of this video so how do you update your airpods to the latest firmware well number one your iPhone needs to be running iOS 18 and make sure that your airpods are paired to your iPhone and make sure that they also have plenty of charge and unfortunately there isn't any manual way to update airpods so all you have to do is make sure that they're paired to your iPhone have plenty of charge and let them sit next to each other for about 10 to 15 minutes or so and this update should happen automatically in the background now for developers and developers only if you were testing airpods update betas you want to go into settings you want to go into developer section and then you want to go to pre-release beta updates for airpods so right here pre-release beta former updates and turn off the airpods beta for the ones that you want to update that's only for developers so once you update your airpods if you go into settings here you'll find that the latest number right there is the latest firmer number right there it is the 7 a294 and there's also an update for the case as well so the case also updated as you can see right there so what's new with the latest airpods former update so let's talk about some of the latest new features as we go into Apple's website right here is the latest version we have an entire paragraph describing everything that's new but of course I'm going to go ahead and share with you guys exactly what's new with the latest airpods former updates so once you update your airpods you'll get prompted with this right here what's new in airpods Pro you see there that you can respond to Siri by moving your head so you can respond by moving your head this makes the hands-free experience on airpods Pro even better you can now just nod your head for yes or shake your head for no to respond to Siri announcements like phone calls maybe notifications or messages as you can see right here this is another prompt that you get and you can turn this on there's also additional settings which we'll talk about here this is a screen recording after I updated my airpods Pro as you can see right there I got the prompt explaining what new there's also voice isolation for phone calls not only FaceTime calls but now for phone calls you get voice isolation you can also get voice isolation for voice memos so that your voice is nice and clear and as you can see right there that is the new animation when you update your airpods for the first time you get the prop right there explaining the voice isolation the head movements with the handsfree as you can see right there so let's go into settings here let me show you some of the new options available some of the things you should do right after you update here you want to scroll down until you find the head gestures so there's new head gestures right there it is you have different options available right there you have the enable or disable toggle right there you have the accept and reply for up and down decline or dismiss left or right shaking your head or nodding your head as you can see right there you can actually try this out as you can see right here Apple gives you the ability to try it out you need to put your airpods in your ear in order to try them out but you do get the new head gestures available within the latest airpods firm update now Apple mentions that Gamers now also have better wireless audio with less latency so that's something new here with the latest firmware update as well and in addition this update also includes performance improvements to personalize volume with airpods Pro second generation according to Apple so overall a really nice firmware update for airpods pro second generation again only available at the moment for the new airpods Pro second generation once more updates become available for other airpods I'll make sure I'll let you guys know in the description of this video thank you for watching and I'll see you guys on the next one peace
