hi everyone my name is Corey fley have you ever remembered those fun times as being a kid or any age at all just living each and every day to the fullest being surrounded by your loved ones such as your family members and friends going to a grocery store or watching a movie at a movie theater or at your home or going shopping at a mall in this case amusement parks at all maybe or maybe not but personally within my own experience always loved going to amusement parks with my family and friends during the summertime and specifically one of my family and I's favorite amusement park to go to is called Dollywood in this case I would love to explain to you some history behind this amusement park of which is called Dollywood for how it got its name and what owners and co-owners improved and kept on building on this park and also on how this amusement park has impacted like what how Dollywood has impacted so many visitors within going to this amusement park so to begin as for the location Dollywood is an amusement park located in Pigeon Forge Tennessee so this picture here you do have the Great Smoky Mountains on the very top and then you do have a side view of Pigeon Forge Tennessee it's just a little snapshot you can't really see it but as down below you do have a little glimpse of Dollywood you do have one of their tallest roller coasters which is called wild eagle along with a few other buildings you can see but is so spread out and so surrounded with trees which according to tripster.com within the history of Dollywood it was never really actually called Dollywood to begin with there was actually three names that it was called before becoming Dollywood which this led to the year of 1961 the smallest traction called Rebel railroad this featured a long steam train engine a blacksmith a saloon and also a general store and awesome thing about this is that the lawn steam train engine is actually an integral part of Dollywood that Still Remains today in the amusement park and for the year of 1970 according to the smokies.com you had Rebel railroad that was actually reinvented and named Gold Rush Junction this was named and owned by one of the Cleveland Browns owners named Art Modell he sadly passed away but in this case they added a long fume ride an outdoor theater and a Robert F Thomas Church and throughout the years this actually got reinvented and changed again to become called Silver Dollar City Tennessee in the year of 1977 this was actually purchased Gold Rush Junction was purchased by H's family entertainment which owned so many amusement parks all across the US and they changed it to Silver Dollar City which is actually expansion of the original Silver Dollar City they were working on during the time in bransom Missouri so this was like a sister Park and they also um impacted building and improving onto this park putting $1 million into rides and more attractions and as for the year of 1986 you do have the country music legend herself Dolly Parton she actually took partnership with the hen's family entertainment and P and wanted to put in a lot of information and a lot of effort into building up this amusement park and in this case their Shin's family entertainment rebranded the park as known as Silver Dollar City to Dollywood and with this impact of changing the name to Dollywood it has led so many visitors to be coming to this area because Dolly Parton herself she wanted to bring more jobs into this area of Pigeon Forge Tennesse and at Dollywood and this is just a little Glimpse shot here so according to dollywood.com Dollywood is a 150 acre Park and this is the reason why I wanted to actually put a little tour guide this is the whole park here it's a it's just filled with so many attractions shopping dining rides I can name a few rides for you you have lightning rod FireChaser mystery mine and um there's lightning rod Wild Eagle mystery mine fire chaser so many other roller coasters and so many other rides that have impacted so many lies and just within people going to this amusement park and here are some pictures here they actually do put on a lot of shows this is a Christmas picture on the top left with a Christmas show that they're putting on this year when you walk in on the top right you do see this this is the main gift shop here when you walk into the Dollywood amusement park it's actually on your very left and down below they do put on food and flower festivals throughout the year and this is just like mother nature built out of flowers along with butterflies and this is one of their tallest roller coasters of the bottom right which is called wild eagle which you are riding on the Eagle's Wings and so the impact of Dollywood according to visit mym smokies.com one of the main attraction actions of and Main opportunities of Dollywood is that Dollywood is estimated that each and every year it brings to brings around 2.5 million visitors each and every year to this amusement park So within people learning all this history of Dollywood learning that it was actually not named Dollywood to begin with had three different names as such as Rebel railroad Gold Rush Junction and Silver Dollar City and with the co-owners and owners building and improving on this amusement park called Dollywood this is how it has made an impact on people's lives thank you
