We've got, uh, some possible rain chances for the holiday weekend. Yeah. So it could be worse. Right. It could be blistering hot and, you know, 100 and five. But this isn't so bad for Labor Day in North Texas. I've seen a lot worse in my years here. Uh, 90 degrees. Saturday, Sunday, 89 Labor Day itself. 88 degrees. These rain chances, ok. They're scattered. They're not all day rains and, and they're not going to, they're not severe. They're not gonna, you know, ruin every plan that you do have, uh, coming up over the next few days. So, here right now DFW is at 89 feels like 94 when you factor in quite a bit of humidity. It's pretty sticky outside Dallas Fort Worth area right now. No rain. It's all to the west. I think we could, we need rain. We are entering drought conditions across most of the area now. Moderate to severe at this point. Uh, so we need the rain. Dallas Fort Worth not seeing it. It's off to the west. Good rain too. Pretty heavy rain. Uh, this is gonna be west of Breckenridge. Uh, pretty far west of Graham too. This is near Abilene and then scattered activity from Jacksboro, Bowie down the mineral wells. This is the axis of rain because there's a very slow moving cold front. Uh, that is kind of stalled out at this point. I mean, it's barely dripping to the southeast. That is the focal point for the rain and because it's not gonna make much advancement to the east, it's gonna stay there for the, at least the, you know, the next several hours, the highest rain coverage is gonna stay to the west of the Dallas Fort Worth area. So this is 7 p.m. There's the scattered rain from uh Bowie Graham all the way down through Stephenville. Then we get into the evening notice, metroplex in areas east, there's just not much going on. It's still to the west of the Dallas Fort area, uh where the rain will be falling. Then at eight o'clock in the morning, the front, uh again sliding very slowly slowly to the east. This is when we'll start to introduce slightly better chances for rain for the metroplex at three o'clock. That's Saturday. We see scattered showers, a couple thunderstorms, nothing severe. One thing I will say if you're going out on the lakes this weekend, I know a lot of people will just know that these thunderstorms pop up quickly. They can produce a little bit of, you know, wind 30 to 40 miles an hour. So just have a way to stay informed as you go out. Uh, throughout the weekend, 10 o'clock still scattered showers, couple thunderstorms going into Sunday, that'll be our better chance for scattered showers and storms again, mainly to the northwest of the Dallas Fort Worth area before this front moves farther to the southeast. Then on Monday, another chance for scattered showers and storms and a lot of that rain will start moving to the south of I 20. So, uh, again, it's all kind of hit and miss stuff. It's not a wash out of a weekend. I wouldn't be concerned if you're, you know, have outdoor plans or headed to the lake, whatever it is, just know the farther west of the metroplex you live the better your chance of rain and the worst of the drought actually. So they need it more than most, uh, severe drought from Decatur Bowie down to Graham. Uh, you need the rain more than areas to the southeast of the metroplex. Moderate drought for most of the Dallas Fort Worth area. Uh, so that has really settled in here as we've had some pretty dry weeks once we left that beautiful July that we had. August has been pretty, uh, miserably hot and dry tonight. 74 scattered rain and a few thunderstorms, warm, muggy with light winds. Uh, they're out of the east 5 to 10 tomorrow. 90. So temperature wise, not so bad, warm and muggy. Remember scattered rain and thunderstorms. Not widespread rain and thunderstorms as we go to the 14 day forecast, I've seen a lot worse and I said this earlier, uh, you know, for this time of the year it can, it can be very hot, it can be dry, there can be zero rain chances and, and, and, you know, triple digit heat that I just stutter 88 degrees Wednesday. Uh, lower nineties and upper eighties beyond that. So, there you go again, upper eighties are really just kind of a bargain. No, triple digits. Come on. That's not so bad.
