Record. Al ya Jeromin, her fifth Paralympic games. The first Polish athlete to do so and she'll retire after this at 36 years of age. the T47 women's 100m for those with an upper limb affected by impaired muscle power or impaired passive range of movement. Sokolov, the European champion will go out in lane 9. 11. 89 that record set in Dubai by Mason when she won the world title. It's dry enough where those athletes are there. It's wets a little further down the track. The rain tumbling in the foreground. They get away nicely. Mason in the middle gets away quickly. On her side, Andrade looking good, almost going to catch Mason. Is she going to get her on the line? That is tight. I think Vera Andrade's actually got it that. Is a photo finish. Mason, the reigning world champion and Andrade extremely tight finish. That might a bit of time to work out. Andrade looks like she's got it. She realises in her own heart of hearts that she's got across the line. Mason looks concerned. 11. 96 is the time there. Just outside the record by 100th of a second. The question is who is it going to go to? It was so tight across the line. They all wait. It's been given to Vera Andrade, 11. 97. The Venezualan takes it. She's a new Paralympic champion to add to silver she's picked up over 400m. A lifetime best in her heat. She's broken that again. She's missed out on the Paralympic record by two 100ths of a second. Mason's been given the same time so it's come down to thousands of a second to separate them. It's happened more than once at these Championships. And the USA's Deja Young has picked up a season best bronze. The so fending champion no longer takes bronze. It's an American silver and bronze and Venezuela have picked up the gold. The tears flow for Mason and Venezuela as well. Andrade has picked up a second medal of the Championships, a silver in the 400, a gold and lifetime best in the women's 100m T47. Just look at the start there. >> Talk about suspense. Incredibly strong start from Brittini Mason and it looked to be her race this. Is half way and we see Andrade only just starting to come up. It's the final dip. No wonder we couldn't call it. But look at Mason. She had this race right up until this final stride. >> That is tight. 19 years of age, from Venezuela. Her uncle used to compete in athletics and she five years later is a Paralympic champion with a quite stunning finish to overtake the world champion. Mason looks like she's going to win. >> Until the final metre. Even then here she starts making that move. >> And dipping for the photo finish and it was a close finish for the bronze, 100ths of a second separate being Young and Jeromin. Jeromin is going to retire
