Texas v. Notre Dame Game Preview

hi everyone I'm Jillian cushion with orange Bloods here with your Texas vs notre dame game preview for a game preview for the first game is a little hard because there are no it's the first game of the season there's no previous stats except the season before so any stats I discuss is from last season obviously just set in the tone there so Notre Dame has released a depth chart in Texas has not yes you heard that right there is no death chart yet in the game is in less than 24 hours similar to Texas Notre Dame has not announced their starting quarterback is going to be between DeSean Kaiser and Malik Zaire leeks eye ear is who played against Texas last season he got hurt in the second game of the season Texas with the only full game he played so Kaiser played the rest of the season in just a one and a half games basically that Malik Zaire played he had four touchdowns and no interceptions he had 428 yards three of those touchdowns and 313 those yards came against Texas Kaiser played the rest of the season he had 21 touchdowns in 10 interceptions 2884 yards these guys are quarterbacks you have heard me say before that Texas does not have quarterbacks all of y'all got on me for that texas quarterback situation we all know Shane Michelle hi Locksley both of those guys do not have any previous playing time in college so there's no stats for them as for Tyrone suits and Jerrod heard there's a little there's a little something there Tyrone Swoopes had 537 pass yards last year for touchdowns one interception as far as drawn heard he had 1214 passing yards five touchdowns five interceptions hoops was the fifth leading rusher on the team and driver was the second-leading rusher with 556 yards and three touchdowns similar both sigh ear and Kaiser do run the bowl tonight hair had 103 rushing yards of course like I said only played a game and a half Kaiser had 520 yards and 10 rush touchdowns as far as total offense Notre Dame was 27th overall in total offense in the NCAA they had 6,000 63 yards in fifty four touchdowns last year they average 466 point four yards per game that's going to be huge for Texas offense we will stop that all happens because they know how to wrap up these guards I mean you see these quarterbacks they know how to throw that ball they know how to get big yards quickly as i said Malik Zaire had overthrew a new drug into Texas as far as Texas goes there 90 second in total offense 4449 yards and 36 touchdowns a lot less than Notre Dame last year Texas average 370 point 8 yards per game and then let's talk about this defense because this is what comes down to defense wins championships this is a big 12 it's all about defense Notre Dame bring 25th in total defense last year they allowed 4845 yards and 39 touchdowns they allowed three hundred seventy two point seven yards per game okay get that in your head now we're going to Texas they ranked a hundred and six in total defense yeah you heard that right they allowed 5431 yards and forty six touchdowns allowed an average of four hundred and fifty two point six yards per day almost a hundred yards more than Notre Dame allowed this type of play is not it's not going to kick it not going to fly against Notre Dame they are going to take advantage of this and they are going to capitalize on it this is a good Notre Dame team they have the upper hand going into this in this type of situation like I said I got to go off the stats from last year but that's all we have right now it's going to be very key for Texas to be able to work hard on defense if you stop that often because once they get going they get going as far as it goes in the offensive end like I've talked about so many times the offensive line at Texas has not been good for years Texas needs to get that pocket strong because this defense is a lot better than Texas and is going to come and it's going to hit Texas over and over and over and over again you have to protect the quarterback I don't care if it's Tyrone change or ronchi whoever it is protect them be nice them protected with all that said Texas has to come out and be aggressive otherwise this game is going to run away from them very quickly or get or the quarterbacks going to pass the game away however you want to say it all right guys I'll see you next time thanks for tuning it
