hey guys welcome back to a brand new Ninjago video here on the channel my name is Tanner fishies in today's video we are going to be discussing something involving Jay and Nia in the modern-day setting of Ninjago and it's honestly a parallel that I thoroughly enjoy the more that I think about it in fact I would say it's pretty genius with that being said though this video will contain spoilers for season 2 part two of Ninjago dragons Rising keep that in mind spoilers are ahead and let's talk about in my opinion one of the best parallels in recent memory for Ninjago now clearly Jay right now isn't all the way there he has Amnesia and ever since the merge he lost track of who he was and who his friends were he doesn't really remember anything and as we've seen in season 2 part two simply seeing the ninja does not bring those memories back and after leaving the tournament of the sources following his loss to Nia both Kai and Nia made a vow to set out on a quest to find Jay and bring him back to the good side restore the Jay that we always knew and I assume this will be happening in season 3 super excited to see how that goes down but this is very similar to something that happened earlier in the Ninjago series with Nia back during Ninjago seabound when Nia merged with the sea and following the year Gap in between seabound and and crystallized Nia herself kind of had Amnesia lost track of who she was who her friends were and when she fused with the sea again a lot of the Nia that we knew was gone it's not as dark as Jay's Amnesia I would say nor is it as severe because simply being reminded of her fellow ninja snapped Nia back into well Nia mode with Jay that did not happen but the parallels are still there Jay himself was trying desperately to find a way to bring Nia back much like how we saw Nia's desperation to bring Jay back during season 2 part two of dragon's Rising again that parallel is amazing in my opinion and it just goes to show how much these two do care for each other that's also why I feel like it's pretty Genius of the writers to make Jay the one with amnesia they could have chosen any of the Ninja following the merge to be this evil agent for the administration and I do wonder how Ninjago dragons Rising would be different if someone like Cole or Zayn was chosen to be an agent of the administration but having it be Jay is just amazing in my opinion because again this creates that parallel between Jay and Nia I have seen the opinion that dragon's Rising has ruined the Jay and Nia relationship and you are totally entitled to your opinion if you think that way me personally though I feel like this will only develop their relationship even more and when Jay's memories ultimately get restored because I'm sure that will happen at some point it's going to make that reunion a lot sweet twer which was a huge complaint with Ninjago fans back when Nia was cured so easily at the start of Ninjago crystallized but of course if this Arc does end up being fumbled for some reason at least we know that there was an awesome parallel in the works involving Jay and Nia and with that being said guys that'll pretty much wrap it up for my thoughts here like I said in today's video I'm a big fan of this parallel I think it's very tragic very heartfelt what do you guys think though leave all your thoughts down below and thank you so much for for tuning in if you guys enjoyed this one feel free to like And subscribe do all that fun stuff and I will talk to you guys again very very soon peace [Music]
