BREAKING: Raiders cut DT Byron Young

we thought we were in the clear but we were wrong Byron young has been released uh from the Las Vegas Raiders and this one kind of sucks I'm not going to lie I I had some high hopes for the former Alabama product and third round pick back in what was it 2023 these years are going by quick but anyway Byron young just never seemed to get the time of day of the with the Raiders right like he just wasn't getting the job done no offense to him it just it was what it was like he really was a guy that was out of sight and out of mind for for the majority of his rookie year and even this year in the preseason like he really didn't like flash like he really wasn't like killing it but I mean he did enough to warant a roster spot right away now I don't think this is the end for Byron young I think that especially after he made the 53 and then was cut I think this more of is more of a sign of the fact that he's probably going to be um on the practice squad at the very least but I got to say this has been kind of disappointing because this D line is ready to dominate this defense is ready to go and I was expecting byon young to at least contribute something with Christian Wilkins and really help this thing out but it sucks uh I mean he was coming up at Alabama he showed an ability to kind of play all over along the defensive line do a lot of different things and we just didn't see it with the Raiders like we just didn't see him getting in there and making plays and you know like we said didn't really get a lot of run there his rookie year and um I think he is definitely going to have to really battle for the from here on out uh because I mean him getting cut now um after he surprisingly made the 53 yesterday uh yeah it's definitely a shock to say the least now as far as a corresponding roster move I'm not exactly sure what the Raiders are going to do here um that could point to them uh bringing in somebody else but overall I mean at the end of the day this is definitely a shock like I I was really expecting him to uh get some more run get more of an opportunity this year maybe not start but I mean like uh coming on third Downs get some things going on that pass rush maybe help on the Run game I don't know but overall Raiders coming through with the shocky move they release Byron young make sure you guys let us know what you guys think at least uh make sure you guys like comment and subscribe down below and we'll see you in the next video
