last night the Chiefs escaped with a victory 2720 over the Baltimore Ravens two big touchdowns by Xavier worthy momes well he was momes and at the end of the game just the Ravens couldn't come up with that big time play so I'd ask you Danny coming off of this and watching the Chiefs do what they do and finding a way to make the big plays um who's stopping the Chiefs I don't know I don't know I don't know what the weakness is on this team and you guys last week were talking to me about they're not going to threee because it's so hard to threee and boredom or aathy or complacency sets in there's also the other side of that which is Patrick Mahomes was on the podium after he won his second and he was talking about the threee he said no one's ever done it before and said he wanted three so he has this ability and this awareness of what history is in front of him and he is tra uh chasing I think we all agree he's chasing Tom Brady sure well he might not get to eight Super Bowls that's obviously a reasonable statement but if he can do things that Brady never did like a three repeat that's going to be a big thing for him at the end of his career when we talk Legacy if he can have an undefeated season something that Tom Brady never did that would be a massive thing for his legacy and we can put up the Chief's schedule and we can just look at the actual teams that they have to play play and you guys can tell me they they got tough games on the schedule you can pick one but they're about to play Cincinnati with extra rest before that game I think we would all agree the toughest game on their schedule was at San Francisco week seven they're doing it coming off a buy Andy Reed off AB bu the best coach that we've ever seen in the NFL Houston end of the season Houston very good team we'd all agree that game's at Arrowhead in the cold so the toughest games on their schedule they have things built in on and we can keep going in reason specifically about the you let me just just so I can speak for America here letting you know you're not suggesting The Undefeated are you find the l i they lost to Denver last year no one predicted that the offense was bad they lost to the Raiders last year no one predicted that there's going to be an unpredicted loss cuz that's what happens in football did it happen to that Patriots team the Giants took care of business when they had to in the Super Bowl uh look they're a damn great footb team they the best quarterback in football yes yes yes and yes and they own the Baltimore Ravens another yes I'll give it to you okay but they beat the Ravens by a toenail yesterday dominate them that was the that's not the best Chiefs could play you asked you've asked Fair it's a fair question you a few times this week which is what's their weakness yeah Z flowers is wide open in the end zone with the game on the line yeah that wasn't good defense it was not good defense that was bad quarterbacking it that was it it it was bad quarterbacking no question but you say teams make mistakes against the Chiefs because they've got to slay the dragon and this team that is not the best the Chiefs can play either I agree with that I'm with that and so the ability to add to an excellent defense an explosive offense some of the things we saw from them last night we simply didn't see last year Xavier Worthy's different I'm with you he's different he's different and Hollywood Brown would be competitive against Xavier worthy in 100 yard dash and Xavier Worthy's a left speed guy Maris Hollywood Brown a deep guy it's an impressive thing no they're they're absolutely impressive I think the thing that impresses me most about the Kansas City Chiefs is they probably have the most psychological advantage of any team in the National Football League you know it's like when when Mike Tyson was in his prime like the psychological advantage was ridiculous when tyer Woods was standing just in your vision line as you were sitting up over a Putt and that red you know that red shirt with the black pants just eyeballing you just I mean intimidating right psychologically intimidating and I think the issue with the chiefs with other teams is when they go to face the Chiefs they sit and talk all week about hey Patrick Mahomes is on the other side we're gonna have to play a perfect game to win and ultimately you know what nobody's ever played a perfect game there's all kinds of mistakes that are going to happen right but no but I'm saying teams go to play the Kansas City Chiefs and they literally psyched themselves out because of the psychological you know just the imposing figure that Mahomes is and I think I just think that I just think there's a lot of a psych there's a lot of psychological stuff that goes on when you're face of the Chiefs because you know in the end that Patrick Mahomes if he gets the ball in his hand last he's going to put a drive together and they're going to win a footb look I I don't know how I'm with you on that I get it I'm not sure how tangible that is in the moment but I I I totally respect Ed I don't like the comparison to tiger and Tyson cuz they just dominated the best out there uh in their Prime Kansas City beats everybody but it goes to the scorecards a lot of times too to use your you know your boxing reference there it's just fascinating to me that you know when you when you talk about you know kind of like if I'm if I'm writing a Wikipedia page for the Kansas City chief under Mahomes is the latter part of what you said when a play needs to be made yeah they make it when the other team has to make a play for whatever the reason is they seem to not be able to make it and I will tell you this Xavier Worthy is as advertised and I will go back to this well not for the last time the Buffalo Bills owe the rest of the league an apology the fact that you morons would trade down to let Kansas City move up to get this guy who runs a 42 and you scored a touchdown on the two times he touched the ball yesterday and is over by eight yards on an out pattern is Criminal well and you know who they traded with to get Patrick Mahomes the Buffalo Bill the Buffalo Bills yeah the Buffalo Bills you idiots just saying I'm saying and then again like to to quantify the explosive plays I don't Xavier Worthy is not Tyreek Hill that's not the type of he is it's it's the Left Right Stuff it stretches the field horizontally but in terms of 20 plus yard touchdowns last year they're already 40% of the way there in one game and that was a team that won the Super Bowl without the explosive plays so and then you again you're going to add in Hollywood Brown that gives you the vertical speed it's going to open so much up for Andy Reid and this guy Patrick Mahomes who I do think I said it the other day I think it's a 5,000 yard season for him that's coming it was 291 yards yesterday uh with only one touchdown that yards attempt that's what makes him special that's what is so scary about him oh first down we get a little cute with Andy Reed second down someone drops a ball it's third and nine no problem conversion keep moving it down the field that's momes Danny the the explosive plays that you mentioned Danny the explosive plays are huge and it is almost impossible in the NFL to put a scoring drive together when you don't have an explosive play and most teams most teams Define an explosive play like a 10 yard plus run or a 20 plus yard pass like those are explosive plays and it's really hard to score and to think that they were able to do that they able to win a Super Bowl last year without explosive plays and then you add in that element to this year's offense I it does make them frightening and as much as I hate to say it because you know the Denver guy in me just really hates this man they are I mean they they look like they are ready to try to to try to defend that champ Mak stop makes me sick they are stop please God Almighty please it's one game The Season's barely under underway they're not going undefeated it's it's one game it's one I'm not saying they're going undfeated but it was one game against the best team in the AFC last year and again by the way are you guys surprised that Kansas City's good no at home they were favored and they won by a no I'm not I'm not I'm not surprised I'm disappointed I'm disappointed one better Mr I'm an NFL analyst I'm an NFL analyst I I will say that Spagnola on the first one attacks protection you see a guy in the slot eyes on the like he's going to Blitz safety over the top which is an indicator that that guy could come so they turn the protection that way right they decided to turn so that's Spagnola understanding what you do in certain protections and how to attack those protections so he attacks the protection gets that single up with Chris Jones as you mentioned on the running back so then what happens they give it the same they don't give the same look they play off there is no threat out there and yet Baltimore turns the protection again to nobody on the second one so the first one is excusable but look at there's nobody out on the slot those guys are off the ball there's nobody to turn two there is no so you have got to cheat that protection whether it's your offensive line that calls it or your quarterback that calls it you got to go to the opposite side and pick up Chris Jones they don't do it they got they got Five Guys blocking three and the running back is manto man on Chris Jones it is so stupid but that's spagnolo out coaching the Baltimore Ravens and and Todd yeah but you can't do backto back plays like doesn't someone go wo Dodge that bullet we have one more crack at it have so look it's not like Chris Jones is a guy we don't know about it's like he came in as a late replacement he's arguably it's arguable the best defensive lineman in football H justi as Hill is like coach why do you hate me so much hey but my only question would be you know Justice Hill right now feels like uh feels like Bill bellich about Danny Parkins like why do you hate me so much Danny why do you hate me stop stop saying dumb things uh I just would say who's going to be coaching these teams in January same people same people yeah like we the entire off season people are burying harbon monin for their failure to run in the AFC Championship Game you would think that they'd say we're not making a coaching mistake and we're not going to make a coaching mistake and then back-to-back plays with the game on the line and even with that incompetency they lost by a toenail a damn toenail cut to yeah that that second one Craig I'm glad you picked those out because the second one was inexcusable and it was a great job by you walking to the big board
