Adams County is reporting its first human case of West Nile virus. And now the health department is stepping up efforts to keep people safe. West Nile is usually spread by mosquito bites. So to lower the risk of catching the virus, the Adams County Health Department is giving out free cans of insect repellent. Starting next Wednesday, August 28th, you can pick one up at their Westminster Clinic on uh 122nd Avenue or at the North Broadway Clinic in Denver. The health department says items will also be given out as other events throughout the summer and in the early fall season as well.
