Vikings Workout Another Punter! Corliss Waitman

welcome back to the onear and lus show I am lus Minnesota Vikings busy today before they fly out to New York working out multiple punter this time it is corus waitman uh earlier today that worked out Brock Miller so uh before we talk about corus waitman the newest punter of Minnesota Vikings have tested out sure to subscribe to the channel like and comment also head over Walmart l.com get yourself maybe a wonderful cozy warm hoodie temperatures are starting to drop why not be toasty warm and a beautiful Walmart lus hoodie all right so let's talk about Cor waitman and unlike Brock Miller who they worked with earlier today who had no NFL experience fing said wait man let's bring in one more guy who does have some experience and that's corus corus wait man uh 2021 he punted for the Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 he was with the Denver Broncos he does have 90 103 total punts in his career for 4,835 yards which is a 46.9 yards per punt average his long is a boot of 63 yards he's had seven touchbacks in his career 31 of his punts have landed inside the 20 uh again couros waitman uh he actually has been with some teams since then I know 2022 is last actual you know action game action but he was with the Patriots in 2023 Bears this year this practice squad he was released uh from them on uh August 27th or something like that so um we seem to be picking up a lot of X Bears which doesn't make me feel overly comfortable at least looking at some X Bears we didn't pick him up yet but what does it say about Ryan right one punter was scary enough for his future with the team now you're bring in a second this shows a huge lack of trust lack of faith in your punter if I'm uh if I'm Ryan right I'm like okay one was fine I'm motivated two I'm like okay now I'm just my pants because this is really pushing it uh two punters just shows the Vikings complete lack of trust in their punter I think he has a one game leash it's this game against the Giants if he Shanks a punt if his average is below 48 yards whoever the hell it may be I think he's gone and they bring him one of these guys uh it also kind of shows some lack of faith in Seth Vernon the guy who was here before if they liked him enough why are they working on other punters wouldn't you just go back to the guy who maybe you had a hard time deciding or you know didn't really want to cut but you cut because Ryan Wright earned the job I don't know maybe they don't like Seth Vernon either CU I don't know why you just wouldn't call him back unless there was I don't hard feelings but you're a punter NFL you're looking for work I don't think you would not go to a team that wanted you so anyway that's the biggest takeaway here is I think Ryan Wright's lease is like this short it's tiny I can't let my fingers up it's absolutely microscopic I think he's got one game to prove himself and the Vikings have shown they're not afraid to move on and look at some other guys even guys with you know a guy who hasn't kicked in the league in two years a guy who has no punting experience uh at all in the NFL so again Ryan Wright your your time your days may be numbered unless you can boot the hell of the ball this Sunday assuming the Vikings do actually punt against the Giants let me know in the comments what do you think about the Vikings bringing in another punter do you like courtess weitman were you a courtess weitman fan before watching this video I want to know and I also want you to keep your skull in your hole
