Dylan Brown (29/7/2024): Reviews R21 Storm Loss & What Keeps him Going

yeah like what is it that is keeping you going and and getting out for it um yeah first on the game yeah I feel like the boys come out first half and done what we wanted to do and then you know they sort of got too easy tries and you know the the 10 and the bin doesn't help going into the second half you know fatigue start to kick in and um yeah they're a good side and you can't give them those opportunities so um yeah obviously another loss you know we we're still trying our hardest I I hope we showed that on the weekend and um you know there's a lot to play for you know fans are still turning up to our stadiums and you know we to see them they still stick around after the games and see us after the games so um they still love coming to watch us so there's a lot to play for there start of the year you know you had a similar run to when Mitch was out without you know being in control the attack on your own like is that is that a focus to you at the moment too just in terms of you know I guess it's a different feeling feel like getting used to that improving on that yeah uh well look there's there's a lot of attack everywhere and um I don't obviously have to take control in certain ways but you know we still have a number seven there we got dejan playing there he's still playing good footy so um I'm still focusing on what I do and that's running the ball and um hopefully good things come from that that's noj anytime soon com to save the day exactly it's on you guys to do what you can as it feel like you're up against it every week like that and are you of the it's you know tough to you guys yeah look it is tough you know looking around the club and there's a lot of boys in rehab a lot of boys um like you said aren't coming back till at the end of the year or if not at all so um we we understand that it's just us we understand that at training you know you can't be negative about anything you got to be positive and um we got to see out the year and just like I said we play for our fans and play for our own Pride really D have you any talks with the club about um your future given you do have a lot of options in your yeah um talks no no no we're focusing on the A and um yeah like I said there's six more games and we're focusing on week to week so I'm here to play my best footy you know I'm I'm in the parameter colors and that's why in every week so when um about no I'm here to St I like power they do they do good things for me and um I've always been here for um for the right reasons and I'm young and to continue to do that since the last time coach I guess the club you know announced Jason coach year kind got to work on that like what's your reaction to his appointment and how do you feel about um well it was good to finally see a coach getting named because obviously you know was a bit of unknown for a few weeks um so finally to get him named is good and I'm good for the boys head space to know that there's going to be a coach there and probably good for him as well you know he can focus on us now and malin's allowed him to do so so um yeah we're excited obviously that was me um yeah know we're excited obviously a fresh start you know change is going to come and whatever he chooses to do you know with his coaching staff with with players or whatever it's going to be a complete surprise so we just got to you know keep playing our best footy and um see what happens I think it's a kind of trick like not tough but odd situation as a player like I guess you know to see change in the works and that of thing um know Jason's pretty highly rated like you know does that give you more confidence in the future to to have some of like reputation yeah 100% um I spoke to a few of the storm players after the game and they actually shattered that they lost Jason so um obviously speaks levels of what he's like as a person and um me hearing that from them is obviously a positive too so has been a little bit talk about G's about um what G BRS like he's really like yeah there's no question about that um I don't know what the goal is with Guth but the foot he plays every week you can't you can't remove him from anything so um he's I kept for a reason and I I highly doubt it's going to change anytime soon can you tell me about like what he does for for you on the field like we sort of seej yeah well it's just contagious any anything that someone does on the field you know if someone's lazy on the field it's contagious but if someone's you know charging at every opportunity you want to get behind them and um yeah it's like when you're winning footy you know how to win but when you lose you keep losing so um GTH is a he's a winner and he keeps chasing the wins no matter what so um yeah as long as C plays I'm going to keep doing the same obviously the Battle of the Year um is that first half ofy give you guys reassurance that you couple years you know you guys with the best yeah like you said it's a bit of a reassurance like we always know we can play good footy when we're playing good footy and um yeah it's just we're we're not icing games at the moment earing skill and stuff so um yeah it's it it'll turn eventually hopefully this week and um yeah that's what we're got to look forward every week as as the next game so
