it could be you know laying in the breaking ball more um being less predictable um you know you name it um whatever whatever it is uh I need figure it out and be better uh I fully expect to um you know I don't I don't go out there thinking I'm going to give up any runs I I go out there expecting I'm going to do my job uh each and every time just unfortunately last couple times that hasn't been the case um but I plan on turning around and getting on a good role uh just like always yeah when you think about those outings that you mentioned is there anything that you are seeing that maybe you're doing mechanically or anything that may be contributing to what's happening um I mean I'm not going to sit here and talk about you know what I was doing wrong I mean it was it was wrong um I gave up runs I walk guys I I I asked honor buin to come in and get us out of tight situations which which they did um a couple of those times and they they saved the game um when I I set us up to lose um on those days and credit to them to be able to to have my back on those days to come in and and and help help this team win on on those days where where I didn't do my job um just to make it simple I got to do better like I said and that's really it you had you had a slump like this once before in Boston about six years ago and you wor you work your way out of it did you go back and and look at that and how you got out of I mean I've I've had lots ups and downs in my career um you know I think I've had some stretches way worse than this so uh in in my mind this is just something that I mean it's got to put my foot down make pitches and and good things to come and and I truly believe that this 15 years of Major League experience help in a situation like this I mean because you have gone through that before the confidence is still there and you you know you'll pull out of it yeah I think so but at the same time I still have to do it I I can't relax too much I still have to stay focused and and do everything I need to do to to make it happen
