Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffs taking on North Dakota State a team that is ranked second in FCS I knew it would be difficult I knew it would be close I was curious to see the final score of that game Colorado was favored by nine North Dakota State covers that they actually threw a hell Mar which was caught at the yard line as the game ended a couple takeaways from me I feel that shidori Sanders the guy has the accuracy he has the arm Talent he has wide receivers 100% some of the throws he made I was really impressed with his overall play I have to say what did you think were you impressed with shidori Sanders last night at quarterback I was I really was I thought he has really good accuracy good ball play his wide receivers are fast on the defensive side look North Dakota state was they were moving the football and that quarterback was tough a lot of respect to him I knew that they would be a good team good morning uh everyone inside the comment box Byron Todd Aaron the experience and he threw for 3200 yards against Texas state or for Texas State last year I really wasn't impressed I don't like his throwing motion he can move around a little bit and if the he's visiting Old Miss this is common during this point in time guys take official visits guys go different places that are committed to Alabama or elsewhere I saw this morning that Texas just landed Jamie French remember at one point he was committed to Alabama football Texas has been on a tear and uh am L yeah he no so this guy I I watched just like a snippet of his highlights go to your recruiting sites and check it out I'm sure they have stories on him in more detail he's 6'9 250 I mean he's he's gigantic I want to see how Alabama utilizes their tight ends in this upcoming game we've talked about the 12 Personnel set 6'9 this guy is a monster I mean like I said I watched like not even a minute of his highlights he looked a little bit slow to me but I like I said that was just kind of like my initial reaction all right yeah he's a monster for sure sure all right let's take a let's take our first call we go out to uh Mike calling in from Austin he's going to follow up so my final score prediction is this B 45 Western Kentucky 17 that that's my final score prediction because I because I don't want to underestimate our defense Kyle and the MVP of the game I do think I'll take an easy pick here and go with Jaylen milro I think jayen milro is gonna throw for a few touchdowns run for one or two touchdowns maybe so I do think he'll be the MVP of the game let me ask you this uh regarding your score cuz yesterday you called in you got people fired up inside the comment box which I appreciate um but what as as you kind of slept on it um I mean are you having a little bit more confidence in the defense I mean did you watch TJ Finley's film like I did what was your take on kind of changing your score here on this Friday August 30th I think our defense is going to be a little better and I think here's what I'm doing Kyle here's the approach I'm taking we're we're going to probably beat Western Kentucky that and we're probably going to beat South Florida we got a tough game with the at at Wisconsin I'm going to give it three games before I really make a judgment on what to expect on this team I and like you mentioned earlier Kyle what I want to see number one is improved offensive line play improved offensive line play 30% of our our blocks were missed last year 30% that's one of the worst in the country we had a horrible offensive line in hindsight last year jayen Miller was running for his life half the time but I want to see improved offensive line play and with that jayen Miller would improve as well with the confidence Factor too but basically Kyle this I've been seeing a lot this is got back to Al my first day back in Alabama I've been in Texas first day back here in Alabama I'm hearing a lot of people that are saying 63 to nothing uh 50 to three I'm all for that man I know and that's probably going to be it but I am just tempering my expectations a little bit want to get through these first three games want to get through the Wisconsin game leading up to Georgia we'll have a better idea about we got what we got but that's why I say 45 and I think B's going to give up a few points that's why 17 possibly 20 possibly a late touchdown possibly 20 but final prediction Kyle 45 to 17 possibly 45 to 20 all right before you go Mike on the line with Mike and Austin you mentioned that your MVP is Jaylen Milo um Let me let me ask you this before you dip out um more than 300 yards passing or less than 300 yards passing if they keep him in the game midway if they keep him in three quarters three quarters he'll get over 300 yards passing if they keep him in three quarters if they pull Jaylen milro because we want to give Tai simp some time to play and there's something you know and they and we might be winning 50 to nothing they pull him out then he may not get 300 yards but but absolutely Kyle if if if milro stayed in for four quarters he'd probably have about 450 yards so but so I'll say yes I'll say yes over 300 yards I'll say yes I'll say he'll say stay a solid three quarters he'll get over 300 yards uh passing and probably close to 100 yards rushing but I think jayen mural is going to have a good game and I think jelen mural is going to have a great late year pending the offensive line my goodness pending the offensive line and it's a new day with his confidence like he just got up to a prediction for Alabama Western Kentucky how you feeling man yeah yeah yeah don't disrespect the Western Kentucky but I believe Alabama's going to win uh 50 or yeah 60 and than uh Western Kentucky at least 17 or 16 being generous with them you know because they do have experience with that quarterback but and and jam will be the MVP of the game or I can say Tyler Booker because o he can help lead that team to get those more points you know because hey those are your two captains I I would say either one you can't go wrong with and Western Kentucky though there's a huge Talent Gap but but I get it tester Kentucky but it'll be a high-scoring game for Alabama and maybe In The End Zone it touch the game whatever Wester K will get a garbage time touchdown who knows because it's gonna happen because you know it's every team does that in the end in the end of the game where they score a touchdown just to make the game more SC uh more Mercyful I guess would say with that but Jay Jay will probably be the MVP of this game because he's he's the quarterback he's the leader of the team and there really shouldn't be a problem with that because he he he's going to LIT this team up especially Western Kentucky because I don't know what they're dealing with but you know that's pretty much I have on the MVP of the game and the score let me ask you this let me inject real quick we got angel on from Pigeon for I appreciate it so you got the score prediction you got your MVP I like going with the offensive lineman for the MVP I like that um did you have a chance to watch Colorado last night yes yes it was it was it was horrendous on defense for them 100 I 100 100% agree I I mean as soon as North Dakota State started moving the football I was like this is kind of what I expected uh but what was your thought let's hype up Travis Hunter as a player I mean the guy is absolutely uh he's it right I mean he's he's uh were you impressed with him I mean that that touchdown catch he made was unbelievable yeah yeah I'm surprised he play on both sides of the ball you know because typically a best player plays on one side of the ball but I guess not because coach Prim wants him to get more snaps and play both sides of the ball in the NFL well he's trying he's trying to get him to win the Heisman Trophy you know for notoriety for Colorado clearly I mean if he plays 100 snaps each single game he's going to have over you know thousand snaps this season and who knows how many touchdowns um all right Angel uh anything else uh about this game man before we dip out move to our next caller uh no that's all that's all I got today man this it's it's going to be high scoring in for Alabama and M can tell you might get a garbage touchdown the end to make it more merciful but don't sleep on uh for one I just think they're going to go out here and just smash whether it's just running or passing I think Jeremy Bernard's gonna absolutely go off um kinda I kind of want to see uh kind of want to see what Ryan Williams does a little bit of him honestly I think SP probably be like 55 to 10 it's going to be ridiculous it's going to be an onslaught I'm so excited to be there hear the crowd and just see the game um and the MVP you gotta go with J Mill man lank he's just gonna go absolutely stupid definitely over 300 passing I think it's gonna be dumb they're gonna bust the top they're going to do quick passes it's going to go everywhere do you do you get a sense kind of going into this season and granted we haven't even had one snap but don't you feel that the offense is going to have much more juice more mustard whatever that you want to call it kind of going into the season I feel like from the jump this offense is already in a better position than they were last year am I am I did I drink too much Kool-Aid over the summertime or are you feeling the same way about the offense no sir absolutely I I love how our team just currently has that they don't like they don't get what's word they just have a chip on my shoulder like I don't know if you've seen it but all three did their top five quarterbacks they left J milro out again I love it the kid just worked so M so hard always coming in early I don't know like I know you follow fall Camp all these camps he looks amazing see the progress I'm ready to see the games I think people sleeping on B me personally I'm picking us to win against Georgia I think we're going to do great I think Georgia's a little bit overrated I mean that might be a little bit of hot take but again where they Kryptonite it ain't just looking I'm thinking 5221 just for the single fact that milro probably is going to get pulled in the third we're going to see what Tai can do and uh yeah 5221 I think going to cover too as well 5221 um I'm I'm curious to get your take on this so coach sabbin he would let the guys play four quarters and I think there was a lot of people saying you know get the younger guys in this and that now this season is a lot different we've talked about this all you know fall Camp is it kind of an extra grind of the Season being you have two by weeks uh the number one number two make it to the SEC Championship you make it to the championship game you're probably playing 16 17 games so so you're kind of is that why you feel that we see an extra quarterback tomorrow kind of in the back end that you're trying to build up the experience and and get that depth experienced as well in a game like this oh for sure with the amount of uh just young Talent this team has and experience as well it's a kind of a I feel like it's a nice balance overall but with the games extending and the playoffs and everything I feel like you got to get your best weapons in as soon as you can especially with Georgia on that fourth week Jamarcus Shepard recently said that his wide receiving unit is inexperienced he's he's a million percent right I mean you have Kobe Prentice caught for what 320 last year uh Kendrick law like less than 175 yards that's why I'm excited to kind of compound on what you're talking about is a lot of rotation for these guys and Coach Kaylin abor even mentioned that there's going to be rotation at the right tackle position between wilcom forby and Elija pritet which I'm not against I want these guys to be experienced and depending on you know the cohesive you're going to see them those guys have a legit set of starters going into for example the Wisconsin game Georgia whatever it is um who you looking like uh for for MVP of this game we've had a couple go for milro we had someone uh Angel went with possibly Tyler Booker i' like that pick from the offensive line those guys never get a lot of love but MVPs of this game who you thinking about receiving core and then I'm also going to give one to our defensive twins over there Jihad and Lawson Jihad and yeah I I think the inside linebackers and and I asked Drew from you know Texas who is on the road what he's curious to see on the defensive side of the ball I I'm curious to see those inside linebackers because now in this 425 defense they're going to have a little bit more flexibility move around and just be the athletes that they are I I've been I'm I'm full out jiar Campbell like he is the guy um he's monster exactly and that's not taking anything away at all all from Deontay Lawson I just think the world of college football doesn't know how good jial Campbell is right now um so I I think that might be their top yeah exactly I think that might be their best tandem on the team and there's a lot of really good tandems on this team Jam Miller Justice Haynes uh Jaden Roberts Tyler Booker the inside linebackers you could even mention Malachai Moore and Keon Sab um but I think in terms of the inside linebackers that might be the top one um okay uh anything else that you want to hit on when kind of looking at the overview of this game between Alabama Western Kentucky what are some other story lines that you'll be tracking um storyline wise I'm not worried about our secondary uh to say with these first two games I think our front seven on our defensive line is just going to be old school pound it get it won't have no time to think about it so I'm not going to give too much pressure on our secondary I think they're going to have enough time to develop and get ready for what we need need to figure out who's really going to be that right tackle I feel that you know the four out of the five linemen are pretty much All-American type offensive lineman let's not let's call it what it is Kane Proctor Tyler Booker Parker bford Jaden Roberts we can figure out the right tackle position and either option I think is going to work out so we'll see but if the if these guys can get pushed and if they can control the line of scrimmage Alabama should be able to do whatever they want to whether it's RPO whether it's running the football whether it's 12 Personnel different base sets I mean the the off I that's why I keep thinking like who is going to outscore this team this season I don't know you're right I agree with that I I I feel like Kay boy going the the tight ends as well I feel receivers but what is your excitement level for these running backs I mean you were Jam Miller guy you were Justice Haynes uh you were Richard young like talk to me about this running back room because man these guys should absolutely Feast this year I don't I don't know if it'll be a three-back rotation I'm curious to see how it plays out what's your take on this very talented running back room uh yeah I think we have the best running back room than I think Jam Miller is gonna get most of the carries I think Jus Justice Haynes will get carries and every now and then we put Richard young and some of the other backs like Kevin Riley and Daniel Hill and there but overall like the next three or four years I'd say we have the best running back room in the nation and I don't even think it's close to anyone but Alabama yeah I think Richard young right I can't wait to see can you imagine if there's ever a combination at at some point in time where it's Richard young and Daniel Hill those are kind of some of the bigger type Running Backs from the past um and Richard young has that speed as well what about um I've been asking people on the defensive side of the ball um what are you looking for I and look I've I've been curious about the secondary because they haven't played it together they haven't played a game in the SEC what's your take on the defensive side of the ball what are the story lines you're watching b m PR uh people are worried about the secondary I don't think I don't really really have a reason you should be worried about the secondary they're yeah they're they're young but they have a lot of talent I think by midseason the secondary fine my only concern is the defensive line and just the death of the defensive line uh I'm not like the defensive line as a whole like just starting I'm not really worried it's just the death of it I think we kind of lacked that the death at the dline position I think we kind of lack that and uh if you watch the spring game Jam Miller justs mainly J Miller just ran all over that D line so uh but it's just a spring game so and that was back in April so that was like a couple months so I'm I'm a little worried about the D line but I mean we'll just have to see tomorrow against Western Kentucky what about uh coach Kaylin dbor what have been your thoughts about him how he's handled himself his staff during fall Camp uh I think he's handled everything great since he's been at Alabama uh he's not rebuilding Bama uh Nick Sav already built up for him we're just reloading we don't rebuild we we uh reload um you know he's he's not trying to be like coach Sav he's just being coach the bo that's what I love about him CA you know if we brought in any other coach they would try to be like coach Sav but no coach of the board love it he's just trying he's just being himself he's recruiting or it's really Courtney Morgan I think the general manager he's a he's been Elite at recruiting for Bama y just as a whole as a coaching staff it's it's gone great so far far I think we're gonna have a great coaching St this year we have a great team this year and I'm really excited for the receivers this year yeah Sanders had himself a day though 26 for 34 445 yards for the downs he's good um the old line I I still wasn't super impressed by the old line and I still think that k r has a bad season because that defense if they stay this way if we're week six and the defense is still just running like that I mean on that on that big scramble that the quarterback did for North Dakota State everybody just scattered from the defense and he just like ran in for like 20 or 30 yards touchdown so I think I think Colorado's offense looks good but I still think that the deficiencies are are still very blaring deficiencies mhm yeah oh absolutely specifically on the defensive side of the ball I mean it's almost like if they were to play a heavy hitter on offense and somebody that could really move the football they're in absolute trouble um it would be bad you know very bad against you know a top 15 type team um okay so uh score prediction for Alabama against Western Kentucky what do you got you know I struggle with this man but I'm going say 42 to 14 I think Western Kentucky strikes early and then I think they strike late uh we do have inexperience at the defensive back position and that's where my that's where I think that gets exploited TJ Finley isn't this great quarterback um he's big and he's got a big arm he's not the best quarterback in the world but I think he still has played Alabama enough and he's played a lot of football to know like where to throw the ball so I I think it's going to be 4214 4214 and what about uh MVP give me one on like uh offense and defense this time it's it's hard to pick one but uh if I have to go offense then obviously you have to go with milro even though that's an easy pick uh I would probably say the offensive line that's going to be my pick the o line if Jaylen milro has a great day and the running backs has a good day then that means the offensive line did their job so I'm going to go with the o line um defense that's a good guess man but uh I'll probably say it'll be uh maybe zaven brown or Jaylen and which one of those guys are starting was it zaven brown or looks like it looks like uh zaven then also xaven Brown I've heard a bunch of good things coming out of Camp about that kid that he just keeps balling and he just he is where the ball is at so I'll say zavan brown I'll flip the coin on and to say zavan brown I told I told everybody on the show yesterday if if you want the stadium to to blow up can you imagine you come out TJ Finley it's like literally the opening kickoff right you're at the 20 Western ky's at the 20 TJ Finley walks up shotgun set snaps the ball throws it pick six to zavan Brown the stadium will that I think that would make the crowd go crazier than like a Ryan Williams opening touchdown I know that'll be their their time to put some ports on on top of us so I agree 4817 do you think uh what what do you think which wide receiver do you think catches for most yards in this game Kobe Prince 100% see go thank you thank you for bringing up Kobe prentis we and I get it in the rotation in the sea of all these talented wide receivers sometimes for whatever reason KOB prenz gets forgotten about which is crazy because the guy is I mean he's experienced he's a baller he's got speed uh he should be able to find you know different zones to be able to catch the football tomorrow they should utilize Kobe Apprentice uh and I love that kid man hopefully he gets some he's he's a quiet leader and he's really the most experienced wide receiver that he has you know other than Jeremy Bernard who transferred in um okay uh MVP of this game right MVP you know um I'm gonna throw you too I say LT Overton I think he's going to be a a huge huge part of that D line um you know and all the hype I believe 100% around him um but for my second one which I never really was a big fan of him I feel like he fell as last year I'm pretty sure that kind of gives it away but I say kayen Proctor I like those picks I mean Kane wack had a lot of positive things to say about LT I didn't really hear too much about LT during the springtime but looks like he had a really good fall Camp him and Justin Jefferson are some guys on the defense um who got their names you know uh in terms of notoriety and on on the offensive side man I think you're right I mean there's two guys on the offensive line that all eyes will be watching really three different there's three story lines on the offensive line three story lines how does Kaden Proctor look does he look a little bit more athletic considering his weight transformation the center position how were the snaps and the third is what did we see from the right tackle rotation those are the three story lines that we're watching uh during during that game right and those are all great storylines to follow but I I like that one with Kaden Proctor um overall I've been asking people just you know the the overview of fall camp and I'm sure these guys hungry get on the field but outside of Coach Caitlyn deor is there one assistant that if that you've kind of gravitated towards in terms of who you like listening to their style their demeanor maybe it's Courtney Morgan who's a GM what's your take there right um you know you mentioned Courtney Morgan and I'm I'm pretty uh pretty excited about him you know being able to to take over and step it up uh but I think uh Walmart you know honestly I'm excited to see what he could bring uh to this to this bam team you know I really hope that he can uh let some of them naysayers know you know yeah on the defensive side considering that he has a 425 um a new defensive system new terminology I I've kind of gravitated to him as well I I just you know I like what he says it makes sense to me he seems like you know La guy that's humble that's been around I mean he was a head football coach last year uh Kimberly thank you very much I see you inside the comment box thank you very much for being a fan quarter and then they'll get into a rhythm and then I think late in the game you're going to start to see some of those backups come in they'll slow the scoring down so I think that they'll be fine I think that they're going to dominate the game um and I think the MVP probably should be Proctor because I'm I think he's going to keep uh milro upright um and that's huge for the offense earlier in the season so he should get the MVP but it's going to be milro who's going to be the MVP because he's probably going to run for 100 and pass for 250 yeah can't can't wait to see it man well Cody
