Mitutoyo Strato-Active | IMTS 2024

[Music] [Music] hello everyone we are here at imts 2024 in the mid Toyo Booth with Todd and behind us is a new machine that mid Toyo is launching we're really excited to learn about it Todd why did you guys decide to launch this CMM and give us some quality features that you guys are really highlighting here okay well a lot of customers have gotten used to the med Toya Apex v machine which is our that's our Workhorse CMM sure um however on the manufacturing as we know those tight tolerances are getting tighter aren't they yeah so we have a several levels that you can go up next one would be the Strat active so the Strat active is a 1.2 Micron accuracy machine and so we just we can nail down those tighter tolerances a little bit better okay and give the give just give the customer more data and information and and one of the things about this machine is how we have it loaded up is we have this machine actually with a renes Shaw sp25 okay so we work with renes Shaw very closely great products on all of our CMM but on the sp25 it's Constant Contact scanning so we can go in and actually when we go in to measure a part say for example we're measuring a hole we don't just go in and take a few points we go in and actually scan all of that and we can take hundreds or thousands of points if we want to it tells us more about the hole and we can drill down into the accuracy at that point wow that's pretty impressive now what about like footprint of parts that you guys would put on this machine right smallest to largest that you guys can handle here um so this is our this is our entry level right here the 7106 okay so it's 700 mm wide okay 1,000 mm deep and then 600 mm in the z-axis okay okay the next one is a 910 so it's just 900 by 10 600 so those are the two sizes we're offering this right now because we found that these sizes are actually the workhorses off the Crista V's that are out in the shop out in the manufacturing yeah that makes sense and what about the fixturing I know you guys have something going on here yeah so mitoya we actually make our own fixturing so this is quick change fixturing the way we have it designed right now we have multiple Parts set up on here but this fixturing comes from met Toil and what you can do is you can buy these little kits and you build a fixture for that part so all you do is just set it on relocate it each time oh that's neat so you'll have customers that'll have multiple setups and they'll just bring it in bring it down and you're good to go exactly yeah so you don't have to break down a fixture every time cuz when you're talking about this type of accuracy fixture is going to be important sure and with the fixt ring I know you guys have another unique feature going on with the probes in the back and cleaning oh yeah this is great so yeah this is a new product for us it's a styley cleaner and it's actually a small part that sits here in the back but when you're talking about 1.2 Micron accuracy you know you got to you got to really I mean you're measuring dust at that point right yeah yeah it's hard yeah and DEP parts are coming in from the shop right so what it will do is you can actually put in your part program where during the part program it'll go back to the stylight cleaner drop it down in it'll use a little bit of air and a little bit of alcohol to clean the stylus so you're back measuring and you're not measuring that dust awesome that's a great feature yeah we it's it's going good for us on that awesome all right tble thanks so much for being with us and if any of our viewers are interested in learning more about what M Toyo has to offer where website can they find you at oh mid too.com very good please be sure to stop by the MIT Toyo Booth here at imts 2024 and we'll see you next time
