so Willie cystein was awesome in the TBT game for La Familia against the Ville last night but uh I want to talk about him for a different reason there was an interview with Kirk Reesa that I I don't know if this was from like a specific Kentucky podcast or what I'm assuming it was maybe Kirk Reese is like hosting some interview series for Kentucky basketball now but um really interesting clip and I found the clip from Big Blue Bud on Twitter so shout out to Big Blue bud I just want to play this clip cart because Kirk C is asking the tough questions and he's sitting down with Willie colly Stein and the question is who are you going to root for when Kentucky plays Arkansas this season when Kentucky faces Willie Colin's coach John Cal Perry who will Willie cystein be rooting for uh I'm gonna play this clip in its entirety it is 33 seconds here we go gonna play what Jersy you going to wear I probably won't wear Jersey you won't but if come to the game and you you have to pick are you are you rocking the Kentucky blue or or I'm rocking what I'm rocking you're rocking what you're rocking I'm neutral so my wife went to Arkansas too oh she played B at Arkansas so anytime Arkansas's like on the TV my wife's trying to watch it turn watch like overnight I'm like ah gota watch it easy that's it that's it there's your answer your thoughts one shout out to Willie cystein um for his navigation on this went with a classic method of blaming it on the wife I very much respect that move uh secondly under that tweet Greg if you scroll through there's a lot of upset Kentucky fans at this at the answer to this question saying Willie cystein doesn't bleed blue like this is this is crazy this is what you don't want and it brings up the point once again where it's like you know as much as people want to deny what Coach Cal is to Kentucky and what Coach Cal was Kentucky like he kind of was Kentucky and it it it has situations arise like this where it's like Willie col Stein second guessing whether he's gonna be cheering for Kentucky or Arkansas and with all due respect to Willie KY Stein I kind of side with Kentucky fans on this yeah like you should support Kentucky you played for Kentucky I know Cal was the coach but to me the easy answer should have been Kentucky yeah I there's two levels to this who are you rooting for is a different question than like what are you rocking and credit to kesa who by the way I think Kerr's like phenomenal in front of a microphone so I I want to hear Kerr host Kentucky Kerr might be Kentucky Kerr CA can't be KKK unfortunately but Kentucky Kerr might be my top top dog like he's going to be a favorite of mine I think yeah he's my favorite player on the team right now which is what a career Arc for me and Kirk Raa but anyways I he did such a good job with this I want to hear more of him interviewing players and just anything he does behind a microphone I want to listen to he's so entertaining uh he asked the tough question to like not like if you say who are you rooting for I bet Will's probably just going to like h i mean it's still Kentucky but instead it's like what are you wearing and willly like thinking about what am I going to wear in that Arena oh I wouldn't wear either that's crazy that's a crazy thing to say with all due respect to to Willie cystein who's great um like just say you're gonna rock blue dog like just yeah I'm pulling up in in a Kentucky Polo something you don't have to say you're rooting against John calip Perry but like you're gonna pull up to rup Arena and not wear Kentucky huh like that that's insane that's where you played my dog and look I I'm not going to tell him how to feel I can guarantee you he's not the only one who feels this way but I think this is why the Cal leaving thing was such a big deal cart all of these NBA guys probably view it this way now they probably don't want to come back to Kentucky because they feel their guy was done dirty and I get like Willie is sitting in a Kentucky basketball facility doing this interview so that's not to say he's never going to come back to Kentucky but he ain't wearing Kentucky in the video like that's crazy to me you've got Kentucky superstars that are like not proud to rock Kentucky Blue anymore because of how Cal was done by the program and it's just it's sad that it got to this point because there's a lot of talented dudes who should be proud to put the Kentucky logo on their chest still right and and that's the point of it to me it's like you coach Cow was such a figure right and as much as you want to say like some figures aren't as big as the program or the program is always bigger than some figures it doesn't always work like that but in my opinion you know the school you go to the school you went to is the school first and foremost it's about you know God forgive me for using the coach speak but it's about the name on the front of the Jersey more than anything all right I'm out I'm out team colly Stein that's I can't believe you of all people just hit me with it's about the name on the front of the Jersey I need I need a break you need to evaluate some things man car you know what I love about you that I'm handsome you're reliable I can count on you you know honestly you remind me of Aaron Henry a little bit remember when like you know their back was against the wall nothing was
