I'm in a new apartment right now I got all these jerseys uh right over there as you can see behind me my bed is right behind me I actually had to go and make my bed before just so for the show it doesn't look like like a like it's like sloppy over here or anything you know so but you can't really see my bed right now so nothing to really worry about there how's everything going for you Yuri hanging in there trying to get used to my classes all that good stuff but uh actually Greg is that a clay Holmes Jersey in your closet over there no no no no no no no no no no I'm sick of Klay Holmes he's terrible by the way the Yankees are already losing one nothing I lost it last night when Kay Holmes blew that game against the Rangers when Wyatt Langford hit that grand slam I'm sick of Holmes man I I just am I can't the Yankees got to take him out of the role they have to well the way the way you feel about Taiwan Walker is the way I feel about Kay Holmes oh man Taiwan it's actually a miracle Taiwan Walker only gave up two runs the other day absolute miracle and they guess what you you always say every time he goes in the game it's an automatic loss I was right twice they won yesterday they did win yesterday they did but it's because he didn't start the game yeah he's lost his last nine starts when he starts but anyways all right let's get to the main gist of what's going on in today's show and as we know this week NF a football's coming back so when this is up the Thursday night game will have played but it will be before the Eagles game so basically to get to the point we are going to give a season preview into each of our favorite teams myself being the Philadelphia Eagles fan that I am and of course Greg being unfortunately a Giants fan for this season but it's okay they're in a they're in a transition year so Greg I'm probably gonna have them losing a few games I'll be honest but I I do too so how we're going to do it is we are going to go through each schedule each game decide whether we think they will win that game we're GNA each uh we're not going to really this won't be a collective thing we're gonna each on our own pick who we think will win that game and then we'll compare our record predictions so we did a coin toss before this to see who would go first I won the coin toss I decide to defer and as Greg mentioned that means that I am taking second half kickoff U with the Eagles so we are going to start with the Giants schedule the Giants season preview but Greg real quick before we get into the Giants Expectations schedule any quick opening thoughts you want to say on what you expect this year from the New York football Giants as you like to say all right so first off I don't expect much from the Giants this season if I'm being completely honest now there might be a situation where they move on from Daniel Jones after this season and for for what might happen this season I think that is most likely what will happen and the Giants can get out after the contract of Daniel Joneses after this year and that'll lead them to taking one of the quarterbacks possibly in the top 10 this year whether that's you know uh Carson Beck or shador Sanders or Quinn eers you know any of these top quarterbacks that the Giants could get you know you have to go and grab them because right now what we've seen from Joe Shane this offseason is he didn't bring back saquon Barkley he didn't want to invents the money in the running back position which I was totally fine with because I wanted him to go and address the other needs on this team whether whether that be the offensive line whether that be the defense you know but they spent the first rounder on Malik Neighbors which I thought was the the right pick for the Giants I didn't want them to take JJ McCarthy because I felt like taking him at six would have been a little bit of a reach although I do think he could be a solid quarterback but but taking him at six would would have been a reach so I'm fine with the neighbors pick I think neighbors is going to be an electric fying player I'm excited to see him play and um you know there are some issues with the Giants offense you know the offensive line still has their issues outside of neighbors who's going to be able to step up in that receiving CT I think it's a young receiving CT for the Giants the defense they do have some nice pieces the secondary I mean they just brought back a Dory Jackson so you have that veteran presence there and then the secondary is Young so the Giants they have a mix with veterans and and young players on this team but overall you're really not going to expect much but I do think if you were to tell me if I had to guess what the Giants record is going to be I mean we're going to get into the schedule I'm going to have them around five to seven wins this season but like I said I'll be rooting for this team every single week I'm going to be hoping for the best and we'll have to see and wait what happens this season well without looking at the schedule I think five to seven might be a little generous but we're gonna go through it we're gonna go through it together all right let's start so I kind Giants Schedule of agree with you I think neighbors is gonna be great he he'll be probably your the most one of the most exciting players to watch not only for the Giants but in football because he's he's one of those receivers that really can turn into another a number one option and I think the only other receiver in the in the draft that really can get to that point is probably Marvin Harrison so those two guys are probably the two best receivers coming out of the draft but with that being said let's start with Sunday at 1:00 the Giants play the Minnesota Vikings week one at MetLife Stadium I'm going to you know what no JJ McCarthy I think this this is an upset I think the Giants will win this game this will be their one win in like the next five games yeah and I have the Giants winning too at home I think they're going to get it done believe it or not I believe Jordan Addison was a little banged up but I still think he also got in trouble throughout the off season I believe didn't he was it was it Jordan Addison I don't think it was I don't I've never heard about Jordan Addison getting in trouble I think he did I mean the one the receiver that did get in trouble was uh rice that I mean that was true but I thought I thought he did get in trouble let me see um I don't remember him I thought I knew he was hurt at some point and this is from CBS Sports uh looks like I think the GI oh he was um he was speeding or something and oh okay yeah he was not arrested pleaded guilty to misdemeanor speeding charge and paid a fine so this is from this is from CBS Sports okay yeah I I I have the Giants winning as well I think they're week one and I think the main difference with this giant team this year compared to last year is last year the Giants had expectations there was a lot of pressure on them this year they're really coming in with not much expectations and we saw what and I'm not trying to get the hopes up with this team but we saw what happened two years ago with Brian dable first year head coach take the team to the playoffs the Giants were projected to be a bottom five team that year and you know they're kind of in that same situation again this year but I mean dble going into year three obviously and that's that's the one thing that I'm looking at this year because dble is going to be the play caller this year and I think the main thing that he's going to do with Daniel Jones this year is not only use his legs more but throw the ball downfield more because the way to elevate a quarterback is not just throwing four or five yard slant passes like you want to be able to throw the ball downfield with your quarterback and I think this is kind of a year a year where you can evaluate Daniel Jones can he get the job done constantly throwing the ball downfield and if neighbors can get good separation and you go back and watch the film the next day and you say oh this receiver was open if Daniel Jones didn't see him why didn't he hit him or you know Daniel Jones threw the ball behind let's say um uh ju Del Robinson there's one play you know they're they're gonna continue to look at film week by week and if Jones is not getting the job done and he's struggling I wouldn't even be surprised if the Giants were to go and start Drew lock one game or even Tommy deito you know in one of these upcoming weeks possibly if Daniel Jones does struggle by like week six or week seven I think that's a legit possibility because we know Brian da is not going to putt up with Daniel Jones um if he struggles this season I agree with that well I that's one of my predictions actually I do think he will be benched throughout the season uh but not yet like he'll win he they'll win week one they got week one in the books I have them winning week one too and then what said the week two here against Washington this now Washington's home and this is a loss for the Giants I think Washington wins this game they're at home they're going to be coming off I know they're playing Tampa week one they're going to be coming off a loss jayen Daniels is going to be rocking and rolling this game I think this is going to be a a probably a jayen Daniels honestly a 300 yard game I think he'll he definitely destroys this this Giants secondary I think I think Wasington wins this so you haven't seen the history of the Giants playing the commanders for a while right cuz last year the I've seen it it's either way Giants last year the Giants last year were literally buried early on in the season and they had no business beating Washington last year the wa the the commanders were favorite in both of their games that they played the Giants this year and and guess what the Giants won both games they won't win both this year I think Washington win in the Giants have a good history of playing the commanders I have them winning week two wait what you already have them two and 0 I have them two and 0 yeah this unbelievable what do you mean this is unbelievable they're losing one of these two games I think Washington's the mostely I have them winning okay so I got one and one Greg's got two and0 so all right I think Jane DS will go off that game now we're at week three they're in Cleveland one o00 game again against Deshawn Watson in that scary Cleveland Browns defense I got I got another loss I got another loss you know how I am with DeShawn Watson I think Deshawn Watson is not a good quarterback but I do think they have a fantastic defense and that D Jones isn't going to do anything against that defense or any of those guys on that offense so I got a loss this is where I have the Giant's first loss right here so I can't believe this is your first loss but that is correct what do you [Laughter] mean my predictions are my own Yuri okay okay that is fair that's fair all right so losing yeah the Browns have an elite defense you can say whatever you want about the Shawn Watson I still think this Browns team is going to win in spite of him I agree I agree and now the here's a game I hope the Giants win the Thursday Night Football on Prime video against the Cowboys at home 10 8:15 I have I got I got Dallas I got Dallas unfortunately I can't Daniel Jones in Prime Time games is not very good I am GNA take Dallas to win this game yeah I I I listen I will be root that will be one of the rare nights I do root for the Giants but I don't think they're going to win that game I listen I hope they win that game too I I I mean I feel the same way as you with Dallas all right so week five Another Sunday game 425 on CBS against the Seattle Seahawks you have a loss I have a loss the Giants don't play well against Seattle I don't I think it's a loss especially in Seattle they they don't play well there hear me out if this was a home game the Giants upset I think the Giants would have won but with all those young guys that Seattle has on defense I think they're going to have a good defensive year they still have weapons on offense saing one about gor Smith last year but he's still a decent quarterback I think he'll do enough to beat the Giants that night so I think I got another loss for the Giants so right now my record for them is one and five or sorry one and four I think even if the Giants were home in that game I still would have picked Seattle because the Giants don't play well Seattle I have them two and0 two and one two two and three I have them at right now okay all right so now we have Cincinnati and as you you all know from the previous episode C night is my a my team coming out of the AFC and this is a breeze win for them on on Sunday Night Football Cincinnati in a yeah Prime Time win against the Giants all right so right now the record I have for the Giants is one and five and now this will be one of those weeks where we go at each other Greg week seven against the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia this is an easy win for the Eagles it's going to be another loss for the Giants I'll I'll have the Giants losing this game as well so we are at what now two and five I'm at two and five with the Giants so I have a loss here this will be this the return of saquan to metti Stadium so I have them losing this game all right well I'm glad we agree on that one week eight and this is an interesting one this is at Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football so we don't know who's going to be the quarterback that night could still be Russell mson could be Justin Fields guess what I don't care I think the Giants are going to somehow win that game I got game yeah because listen based on what I have right now I have them losing six in a row I think this is a game that they get right and they win I and they usually do win a Monday night game every year like this so I think they win H I had them losing this game I had them losing interesting because I had them losing just because and it doesn't matter who just starts at quarterback for them whether that's Russell Wilson or Justin Fields because they are starting Russell Wilson to uh start the season but you know as the season goes on we'll see how Russell Wilson performs and and if he doesn't perform well then I think Mike tomlin's not going to be scared to make that decision to go to Justin fields and everybody's excited to see Justin Fields he's obviously at this at this stage of his career he's got a higher upside than Russell Wilson going into this season Russell Wilson's an older quarterback he's a veteran um but I do think this is kind of like a good mentorship I know Justin Fields has had experience playing in the NFL before but I think this is still like a good something to learn for Justin Fields you know just sitting behind Russell a guy that's done it before I think it's good for him to sit for a while I mean I probably would have had him start but still I still think it's gonna benefit him in the long run so I haven't I haven't taken a deep dive is great their defense is great so I have the Steelers winning this game okay that's fair they do have a good defense but I can see this I I haven't look taken a deep dive into their schedule but I could see this as the make it break it game for Russell Wilson against and they lose to the Giants and then Justin Fields plays we week n that's a that's a personal prediction um all right so I have them at 2 and six you have them now at 2 and six I have them at what did I say two and seven I've been keeping track okay so we're at week we're at week eight I've been keeping track too I just I don't know if I okay so two and six I said two and seven yeah so we have the same record all right here's another one they're at home against the commanders this is where the Giants do beat the commanders I think the commanders will have a a poor game here in metti stadium while they did win or while the commanders do win in week two I do have them losing to the Giants week nine I think they'll find a way to win this game because we know how the Giants Washington matchups usually are Greg I have the Giants winning this game yeah I have them sweeping commanders this year they you sweeping yeah that's true yes I do I do not have them winning week two the Giants always play well against commanders I mean you it doesn't matter how bad or good the Giants are it doesn't matter how bad or good the commanders are the Giants always always beat the commanders I can go back a couple years ago when when the Giants played the commanders Sunday Night Football remember that was pretty much a determination of who was going to make the playoffs and everybody thought the commanders was gonna win that game Guess Who won that game the Giants all right well I've seen this before way too many times I have seen this way too many times the Giants own the commander I think oh they own the commanders well I I think it will be a split I think it will be a split this year but all right week 10 this is the the this is right before the allstar break or not the All-Star break sorry they have a byee they don't have an All-Star breaking football they have a byee before or right after this game because as you mentioned this before the Pod to me Greg they're playing in Germany this year against Carolina and you're not going to like this answer Greg Carolina is going to win this game I think Bryce young is going to have a decent year and this is one of those games he he play plays very well in I think the Giants have a let down game in Germany give me Carolina well you said that I'm not going to like this pick well guess what I have Carolina winning this game too I'm I'm surprised I like I have Carolina I think the Giants lose this game look I think Carolina's gonna take a step this year especially having Dave Canales over there I think he's going to do a a decent job developing Bryce young we saw what he did with Baker Mayfield last year I think the Panthers will be a better team this year they should be a better team this year they won't be as bad as they were last year and I think that the Panthers get a win here in Germany in a neutral site game against the Giants all right well we both have three and seven we all right so I have I also have three and seven so we're so far on the same page a few different games but we're we're on the same track here all right so the byee happens Giants are back on Sun On Sunday 1:00 at home against Tampa Bay Co MC crazy but I think this is a let down game for the Buccaneers I think they lose this game to the Giants and the Giants get win number four I have the same thing too I have the Giants winning too oh wow and I'm not listen I'm not copying with your picks I actually think the Giants are going to win this game against Tampa because like you said I mean I think this could be a possible let down game for Tampa Bay I think and it's always I always say this with the Giants every year it doesn't matter how bad bad or good they are there's always that one game every year where the Giants are not predicted to win or they have no business of winning and they go out and they win that game I feel like this could be like one of those games where Tampa is in a in a playoff contention uh type they're like a playoff contention type of team and they're they're battling for either the division with Atlanta or even the wild card spot and I do think this is a game where Tampa bay loses to a team that they really should have won against and I think the Giants steal this one at home so I have the Giants winning this game so we both have four and seven now yeah so we yeah we both at four and seven I agree with you with that and now now they play on Thanksgiving against Dallas and the thing with Dallas is they play they're a weird team on Thanksgiving sometimes they're dominant and sometimes they're not well guess what Greg the Giants are going to upset the Cowboys this year on Thanksgiving yes you have them upsetting Dallas I do I listen I hope so I I just feel like Dallas is GNA lose on Thanksgiving this year hope so I hope you're right I hope you're right but I have the Giants losing Dallas twice okay all right this is on Thanksgiving I say the Giants lose this game unfortunately I hope I'm wrong I hope the Giants at the very least steal a game from Dallas but I got them losing this this screams a game on a third on Thanksgiving that everyone just decides to make fun of the cowboys after they lose to the Giants that's just what I see I don't know I see in the future and but I also see in the future on Sunday December 8th against New Orleans they at home in MetLife here's the thing I do think they lose to New Orleans and I know you're saying New Orleans doesn't really have a quarterback but they do have some guys an average Quarterback yeah but I'm gonna count on a little bit of their defense to show up and I'm going to count on some of their weapons um I think I just feel like this is the game that the Giants should win and actually in reality they'll end up losing it that it just feels like one of those games I have them winning this game I have them beating uh the Saints I'm not too high on the this year and when we talk about coaches that could be possibly on the hot seat this year I think Dennis Allen's one of them for sure yeah well I think he does win against and this could be a team that I think kind of has like a very very bad year where like they could be in the mix of possibly drafting a quarterback you know if they get let's say a top 10 pick or like a top 15 pick they could be potentially a team that could like go and trade up for a quarterback just like the Vikings did last year to go and get JJ McCarthy that's true I the Saints could be like that team or like they could be that type of team this year and then go to and going into the draft obviously the Saints will need a quarterback I think they're going to be they're going to be just like the Giants they're going to be looking for a quarterback next year I'm not high on Derek Carr I'm just Nei neither am I but uh now over to then very next Sunday another one o00 game CBS at home against the Ravens and this is a no-brainer give me the Ravens the Giants are going to lose I have the Ravens winning this game too yeah so I mean enough said there Lamar Jackson still good defense John Harbaugh on to the next week now they go to Atlanta the Giants this is another one o00 game and I got Atlanta I think at this is a this is a spot where Atlanta is trying to secure the NFC south over the Buccaneers and I think they do it with this game so I I think the Giants yeah I got Atlanta winning this game too I think Atlanta at home late in this season they're going to be fighting for a playoff spot they're going to be motivated they're going to be ready to go I have the Falcons winning this game and they know that they're probably going to need these games down the stretch and they see that the Giants are on the schedule they know they're going to have to take care of business that's right and and also I do believe the reason why and this might be a spoiler I think they're going to end off on a big losing streak only because they're going to be playing guys like Drew lock Tommy deito all this and that you know they're going to be putting guys in because I think Daniel Jones will be benched at this point and actually now we're going to go on to one of those games I do think they will lose the very next Sunday we don't know the time yet it's one of those games they're going to decide on against the Colts if you guys know from last episode I have or actually it was two episodes ago I have the Colts being the seven seed this is one of those games that helps them out I think the Colts win it and the Giants drop another game all right so I have what do I have the Giants I have I'm at five wins right now so I have them at do you dare say they're not winning this game they are not winning this game they will not they are at home they are it does not matter the Colts are going to make the playoffs and this is one of those games that gets them there they could they could make the playoffs I definitely but the the AFC is loaded though they it's true and but guess what this is this should be a win for them the Colts they're going to be I think they defeat the Giants the Giants won't have a chance here you want to give him six wins I want to give him six wins you know it's not true though I you know what I I I will I will be realistic here I'll say they lose this game but I wanna I think they can win six games though I mean come on dude look look at you're you're dealing with Anthony Richardson if he stays healthy Jonathan Taylor Michael Pitman a decent defense right latu latu so I mean he I think he's gonna have a good year too soai Mitchell too oonai Mitchell could be to and uh Z Franklin very good inside linebacker zy Franklin was great last year oh yeah absolutely so yeah that's that's an easy win for Indianapolis that actually helps them get into the playoffs and then why does this happen every year Greg why week 18 I don't understand week 18 it's it's the Giants against Philadelphia and sorry I want I want to change someone up I did say earlier week seven that it was at Lincoln Financial Field no that game was at medlife but I still think the Eagles win that game and this game now I know what you're thinking the Eagles are probably going to rest their starters this game well I don't think so I think this is a game that actually Pro might decide some seeding in the NFC and so I think the Eagles do play their starters and I do think they win this game at home against the Giants so that means that I have the Giants at a final record of five and 12 I have the Eagles winning this game too so that means I have the Giants going five and 12 this year all right we have the same record so we have the same record um but I do want to say this there is no guarantee that the Eagles will rest their starters the last week because like you mentioned about the seedings possibly and wanting to move up maybe to like the two seed or possibly getting the buy and getting the one seed you know so I mean you can't even guarantee that but I mean even if they do have everything locked up they probably might do it because they don't want to obviously take the chance of one of their top players getting hurt or you know whatever it is so you know but the last year when they did it that was when Jaylen Herz was like playing her and you know the AJ Brown got hurt in that game and then you know one serani knew that the Cowboys were blown out Washington and the the Eagles were were down to the Giants they had they weren't G to come back and even if they did Dallas was running away against Washington so he just decided to pull his starters and didn't want to take the opportunity but I mean listen anything can happen we don't know what's going to happen until like week 18 but I do have the Eagles winning this game um and the Giants me and you both have them going 5- 12 although I do think they could win six or seven games and I listen I'm hoping for the best with this team I want this team to go out there and try to win every single game um but you know we'll see what happens though week one is this Sunday or week or tomorrow actually because Ravens Chiefs and then you Friday with the Eagles and Packers and then Sunday is when all the game start well Greg I say we get to that game we're done with our Giants preview that is our record we both had the same record prediction 5 and 12 is our predictions a few games that we kind of changed on I think my my big I think my big hot take was that that Thanksgiving win for the Giants I think they the Cowboys have a big let down game on Thanksgiving what do you think my biggest hot take I didn't really have like any big hot take wins I think I think yours is that you think that they're going to sweep Washington I think they do they do I think that's hot that is not I mean I think I think Bea the Bucks might be more hot than beating um but I think I mean yeah there is a hot take I do have them being Tampa that's a weird stetch I actually have them in beating Tampa and Dallas but I think that's all they get then they lose five straight at the end of the season yeah but that's when Daniel Jones is no longer in the rotation he's done no longer starting and with that we're going to move over to our Eagles season preview it's time let's look at the foot eagles with their first game being this Eagles Expectations Friday on peacock against the Green Ray Packers in Brazil I am not a fan of this game you know how I am with this Brazil game Greg the players don't want to be there I don't want them to be there this is a whole mess you're putting two teams in a stadium that literally bans the color green and for those that don't know the team or the stadium that they're going into is the Corinthian Stadium it's a club in Brazil soccer and their their Rivals wear green and so the Eagles are not wearing any green they're wearing black helmets white shirt and black pants I think the the Packers are wearing they're allowed to wear their shadeed green for some reason I don't know it's a mess and with that I do have the Eagles losing week one for the first time in a bit they do normally win week one I think the Green Bay Packers win this G I think I think the Eagles win I know we talked about this a little bit ago so why do you think they win in Brazil listen I think they win this game just because I think number one they're overall I think they're a better team than Green Bay I mean listen I understand the the whole neutral sight thing but at the end of the day I still think the Eagles are the better team their offense is explosive they got Playmakers they have a great tight end they now have saquon Barkley and Jaylen Herz is finally healthy so when I look at the Eagles and I think when you look at like with the eagles with the whole tush push thing right I don't think they're going to try to do it as much this year and try to put that pressure on Jaylen herdz they'll do it sometimes they'll do it sometimes but I don't think they're going to do as much as they did last year only because you know they didn't really have anybody that can go and get that tough yardage although saquon's not really that type of guy that can go and fight for that extra yard maybe he could do have you seen his quads I mean his quads are good but I mean every time Squan gets hit it's almost like he goes right down the to the ground it's you you know you sometimes with saquan it's almost like when you watch Barry Sanders right you know it's two yards one yard three yard three yard two yards and then he'll break off for a 50 yard run that's that is what Sean Barkley is but I do think taking that pressure off of Jaylen Herz is going to help him out throughout the course of the season and I think the Eagles are going to find a way to win this game I think the one thing that you have to look at in this game is their defense how is their defense gonna Fair against that offense that has a lot of young talent in terms of their receivers and especially a guy that can just emerge possibly as a top five quarterback by the end of the season in Jordan love who also got paid this off season most expensive contct there's going to be a lot of pressure on the Green Bay Packers to go out there and win this season especially with love getting paid and I think this is a game that the Eagles do win I do think both teams will make the playoffs but I have the Eagles winning this game I have 272 no 28 I'm going to say 28 24 Eagles we're doing score predictions here we don't have to do I just wanted to do it for that game okay well I I'll get mine I think it'll be about 2720 okay I I I think the Eagles lose this game but you know since now I'm thinking about I should give a quick like my quick little thoughts or uh takeaways going into the season what I think what I expect from the Eagles and you know I mean as for this game specifically I think it will take the Eagles time to get used to Kell Mo system offensively and especially Vic fangio's defense because look at all these new faces on defense the Eagles have their whole linebacking core is all changed up they have Zack Bon they have Devon white who we now have found out that he will not be playing this week but noobe Dean who didn't play a lot last year he's going to get another shot at it right Jaylen Carter Jordan Davis they still got to prove their worth BR Bryce Huff he's a big question mark is he going to live up to that the role that he's filling in since Assam reic departed you know that's a big role and CJ Garner Johnson can he get back to what he was doing with the Eagles prior to leaving and of course the big thing is the defensive back position can quinan Mitchell prove he is the best defensive back to come out of this draft as he was drafted by the Eagles and we don't know what's going to go on in that other safety spot right Cooper deene could start uh I could see Bradberry if he gets back he can start there or even uh Reed blanket ship Reed Blanket's a very solid player but we got slle uh they got they overall they have a lot of young talent and they have a lot of new talent and they have to get used to Vic Fano system that's mainly why I think they lose that game it's it's more of like I know I've been using the word transtion a lot but it is a transition game for them it's really a game for them to really get used to their new system and that's why the next week I think they'll be much better off and overall my expectations Greg and I don't know if you feel the same way about the Eagles honestly if they don't make the NFC championship game this season is a failure I'm telling you that right now look at this roster they have top to bottom this team should make the NFC championship game and I if and if I'm honest there's two guys I think it's on it's on Jaylen Herz the make it there and it's especially on Nick serani those two guys are going to dictate how far the Eagles get or how or how they don't get there either way is gonna be the main scapegoat though if the Yankee I said the Yankees if the Eagles don't if the Eagles don't go far this year the scapegoat is going to be on Nick serani and I go back to last year too because the Eagles defense was not great last year I mean you pointed out everything with the Eagles defense but that was awful I mean the players at the end of the year it just seemed like they gave up on S iani like they were missing tackles it just didn't seem like they wanted to be there and you know you have that you know the whole relationship with Jaylen Herz and Nick serani in the offseason and we didn't really know what was going on there are they really on the same page we're gonna find out this season obviously and you got to remember towards the end of the season I know it's not a big deal now but remember there was like some issues with AJ brown with the you know the one time where he didn't he didn't show up to like practice or something like that so you kind of had that issue yeah I know he's fine but I mean you obviously had that issue right there so it just seemed like the team kind of gave up on serani and the I think the reason why he's still here is because of the success that he's had his first two years with the Eagles and last year you kind of throw it away for serani this is kind of like a make or break season for him absolutely that this this season will decide whether he's the head coach next year and I think if he even if he wins a playoff game I think he could still possibly be fired like the the expectations this year for the Eagles are High they're higher than they were in 2022 and I think they're higher than they were in 2023 because team I think most people expected you know the Eagles will take a small step back because they're coming off a Super Bowl loss and this that but now they've had a whole year to regroup uh rebuild this team in a sense or actually I should really say not necessarily rebuild but retool this team and again the two biggest dictators in where this Eagles team te ends up is going to be Jaylen Herz the play of Jaylen Herz can he get back to the MVP form him and of course the guy who I'm very I'm going to be on him all season Nick serani big I'm going to be on him big time he it's all up to him to really prove that he can be the head coach of this team and with that we got my main thoughts out on expectations here we got Greg's thoughts even on the Eagles and especially how bad their defense was last year hopefully they can be better this year hard it was one of the worst defenses in the NFL last year maybe ever but all right so Friday they lose I think lose the Green Bay but that means that the following week Sunday they've Eagles Schedule had a we a whole game under their belt they're playing Kirk Cousins on Monday Night Football Prime Time Nick fos retirement right night give me a win that is going to be a dominating win I mean I could easily see this be like a 20-point victory I think Eagles destroy the Falcons this night all right um I have them winning this game I have them starting off 2 and 0 I have them beating the Falcons Monday Night Football I think they're going to make sure that they don't let Nick falls down not only that Kurt Cousins doesn't play well in prime time we know that well that too well that to but I mean he's also on a new team as well so I think this could be kind of like a like a rejuvenated even though Kirk Cousins is also coming off an injury as well I think I think Kirk Cousins knows he has something to prove in terms of you know possibly with what the team has maybe making a deep playoff pressure on his back oh pressure yeah but I mean also too like I think with Kirk Cousins you know always always there was always the one narrative that he can't go get it done in the playoffs where he can't win I mean there's no no one can deny that Kurt Cousins can't play Kurt Cousins can definitely play he's a he's a he's a good quarterback but I think in terms of pressure maybe going out and possibly making a deep playoff R maybe being one of those sleeper teams in the NFC so I I think that's interesting to look out for for the Falcons this year so I have uh the Eagles winning this game all right so you got him at two two and0 I got them a one in one and I'm about to have him a two- one because the next week it's their first 1:00 game and it's at the New Orleans Saints and I think they win this game I have them winning this game too I mean it's pretty straightforward the Saints they don't really have a lot to work with right now I mean yes I do think they have enough to beat the Giants but not the Eagles I think the Eagles are going to have a lot they're going to have really their game planned down they're going to have they're they're going to know their playbook they're going to really they're going to have two games again to Vic Fango and Kell Mor system I think this is another dominating win but now the following week it's the playoff rematch and we know that Baker Mayfield completely baked if you want to use the word baked the Philip Eagles in the postseason last year and this year I think he's the one who gets baked I think the Eagles actually get this is their Redemption game and I think they do defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa as well I have them h no I have them losing this game actually whoa losing I have them losing yeah I think this is one of those games where they're on the road against Tampa Bay I think this is the game that they lose I think Baker Mayfield's gonna have another big game like you did in that playoff match uh against the Eagles last year and I think that they're gonna I think they're gonna get another one this uh this time around as well I think they're going to get another one so I got Tampa Bay winning this game so I have the Eagles at three and one and you have them at three and one I have three one but I think I think they lose the Green Bay instead and now we're at the we're at the bye Eagles have an early bye this this year I'm very surprised by that and I'm not sure if I should be happy about that but now we're at the next game it's against the Cleveland Browns and I think they win this game I think Deshawn Watson is just he's not going to be able to do enough especially against a team like the eagles and I do think they are going to have a better defense this year Herz is going to be in full season form or he'll be he'll be fit he'll be ready to to get back in that mvp form we saw from 2022 I think he has a big year and this is one of those games I think he has another good game and I I think they win this one I I got the Eagles at four and one there I have them winning this game too off of by week I think that is the main thing that's true um could come out a little rusty in that game obviously but I do think the Eagles will have fresh legs they'll be ready to go I have them winning this game I will say it will be a close win you can't have two weeks cuz you can't have two weeks and not have your team prepared I mean you got to have your team yeah prepared to play I mean Russ could come a little bit into factor in that game but I do think preparation is what gets the Eagles going and I think they win this game yes yeah I think they win that game and and like you said the byee really helps especially against a defense like the Browns I do think it's a closer game especially with that defense I think it will be a close game but the Eagles will do it just enough to win and oh here we go Greg back at this game we already we already have our predictions in for this one all right so Sunday night or not Sunday night sorry Sunday at 1:00 in New York I got the Eagles winning that one we already kind of talked about that so what do we have I have five and one I'm at five and one as well and five one now Sunday 425 CBS in Cincinnati against the Bengals I think I mean I think this is a loss I I think I think Joe burrow has a has a very good game against the Eagles I think you know I have the Eagles on a five game winning streak here I think this is one of those games where that streak ends I think Joe burrow again I think he's going to have an MVP season I think he's going to win the MVP I think he's going to have a great season and we've seen like the last couple years with Cincinnati that they've been able to they've been getting off the slow starts I think at this time is kind of like when they start to get going I have them winning this game the Bengals Eagles dropped the five and two I agree I think they I think they do lose that game and it's mostly due to to Joe bur and that offense I think they'll I think he'll do enough to take care of the youth on the Eagles defense that's what I'm trying to say there they'll they know how to play against a young team and they're going to they're going to win that one so I don't know if you're GNA like this one Greg but at home Sunday night football against Jacksonville I think the Eagles lose I think they lose against Jacksonville I think Doug Peterson gets his first win against this former team and this just feels like a disappoint a disappointment that I have seems this is going to be a disappointing loss I think this will I have them winning this game I have them winning this game they're going to be Jacksonville Sunday Night Football I think they're clearly a better team Jacksonville is no I think you know this an off game for the Eagles I think Trevor you know Trevor Lawrence is another quarterback that got paid this off season but has he really proved to be an elite level quarterback I don't think he has I mean I think the Jags expect it the Jags expect it from him but we have to see it though that's why contract and they're probably expec in like years at that contract like we've talked about many times on this show couple back at our shows when we talk about contract situations and stuff with players the contract might look like a bargain if Trevor Lawrence turns out to be the elite quarterback that the Jags expect him to be but even if he does I still think the Eagles pull this game off I think they'll win here's the thing you got to understand Greg every year the Eagles have some sort of disappointing loss at home I get it I get it two years ago it was against the commanders when when they were they started season 8 and0 and they lost week nine that was that game last year I mean pick your poison it was probably the Dallas game right I mean not the Dallas game that wasn't home it's probably the 49ers game that was home and they blew they got destroyed that game that's really what tore them apart I would say the ners game was that game and this year I think it's G to be that Jacksonville game it's going to be just a disappointing loss and I'm ready for it I I I for some reason think that Trevor Lawrence will have a decent enough game to win Doug Pierce will get first win against his former team and now Sunday at 4:25 the Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys for the first time and there's a trend going on Greg every year the Eagles play the Dallas Cowboys twice as we know they're division Rivals that's why they always split yep and they always win the team that's hos usually wins I got Dallas winning this game I think the Eagles are going to be in panic mode here they're going to be five and four you have them five and four I have the Eagles losing this game too I agree with you I mean like this was the what I was going to mention too like you said I the Eagles always split with Dallas they do they always do and it's you know it's always kind of like that Trend because like the Giants they always play the commanders well the Eagles and the Cowboys they always split no matter no matter their circumstance every single season or for most seasons at least they always split those teams the Eagles when they play the commanders the commanders always play the Eagles well and Dallas you know it's kind I guess it's just based off of matchups they always beat the Giants Eagles always beat the Giants and you know cowboys they might lose a game there and there to uh Washington they might have one year where they lose to them but I I I have Dallas win this game uh at home and uh at like at Dallas that's what I'm at Dallas and um so I have the Eagles let's see well go through your next game and I'll yeah so right here I would say that Eagles fans are probably pissed off because it's five to it's they're five and four they're going into week 11 and this is actually based on what my prediction is they had five straight wins they had a little streak there and then they get five three or three straight losses so this is where I think the Eagles you know rethink they turn they they actually get it going again and this is a game I think they do so Thursday night on Prime video at home against Washington give me the Eagles I know it's Washington they usually play well against the Eagles I agree with that but this is a Get Right game in my opinion for the Eagles after losing three straight they win this one in decent fashion not good fashion decent fashion and then they'll be six and four round I think the Eagles win this game too but it's not a blowout I think this is a one I don't think it's a blowout Eagles Eagles this is a short week for both teams even though the Eagles are at home Washington always plays them well from the last couple Seasons what we've seen I will take the Eagles to win this game but it will be very close it'll be a one- score game I think I think so too and let's head over to the to week 12 Eagles at the Los Angeles Rams it's on Sunday Night Football I have the Eagles winning this one I think they they'll again they get right game was against the the commanders I didn't get another win against the Rams I think they they have to beat a decent uh at least a good caliber team at some point right because I don't have them beating Cincinnati or Dallas I think they beat the Rams though and I think they do that that Sunday night I have them I believe it or not I have them beating the Rams too I think on the road I think this is a game where this is like a game where I think they get a big win on the road this is kind I think this is like a like kind of like a statement win for them where it's like early on you know like halfway through the season you kind of look at the Eagles are this is this team really a Super Bowl Contender are they not are they are they flawed I think this is kind of like a win where it's like a very impressive win for them and they kind of make a little bit of a statement out of this so I actually think the Eagles beat the Rams it could be like a 10 score it could be like a 10-point win for them yeah that's a great way you put it Greg I I do think this is their statement win on the road against a good team like the Rams because again I didn't have them beating a really good good team until the Rams I think in my opinion well maybe the Falcons but but I until the Rams like I didn't have them beating anyone so I think they get a good win against the Rams but unfortunately the following week they play the Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore 425 week 13 I got them losing against Baltimore I think I think for some reason they're going to they're going to come off this win against the Rams they're going to feel Unstoppable and then the Ravens punch give them a little smack in the face it's not just that I think I think the Ravens might be a better team I think they I know they L I think well I think they do I think they they do even though they didn't have some losses this offseason and they lost some key pieces in the off season but yeah they always find a way to replace and draft players well the the Ravens are such a well-run organization and they will find a way to replace players and they've been doing that for years and you you you definitely trust their coaching staff to get it done absolutely John Harbaugh you TR John Harbaugh and and Todd monin you know Todd monin yeah I think he's another another coordinator that's kind of got something to prove especially with um the way that he coached that AFC Championship that's true last year I think he's a good off he's he's still I think he's a good offensive coordinator too but I think he's going to be like I think he's going to be highly motivated especially tomorrow when they go and play Kansas City absolutely absolutely and um by the way weird little take I do think the Chiefs lose another week week one game on Thursday night I think even though I think I think Kansas City is going to still go to the Super Bowl but I do think they lose tomorrow against Baltimore yeah but just a little we kind of went off topic there I just hope Z flowers goes off for me in fantasy because I oh God I knew I knew it I knew at some point I need I need things for me tomorrow the fany team I knew was coming up DAV worthy too A couple of my leagues as well all right well all right so what I have here on my bench they lose big time to the Baltimore but guess what the next week week 14 they have the Panthers they absolutely destroy them the Eagles win I agree I think they got to beat the Panthers that that that should be an easy win for them that should be an easy win Al think the Panthers will be a better team this year I I think this is a game they still win though all right so week 15 the Battle of Pennsylvania at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers at this point I think honestly I you don't know who's going to play again you don't know if Russell Wilson or Justin Field's going to play I Don't Really Care the Eagles are going to win that game well no matter who the quarterback is at that game I have the Eagles losing actually oh you better be quiet no way the Eagles I that's that's an easy win there's gonna be this one there's going to be that one game where the Eagles lose and I think this is the game that they lose against Pittsburgh it doesn't matter who the quarterback is for the Steelers I think that Mike Tomlin we know him down the stretch he's going to be like maybe a game under 500 he might be even at 500 00 and he never finishes under 500 and I'm not betting against until he actually does it so I think late in the season the Steelers seem like they play better as the season goes on I think they get a big win against the Eagles so I have the Eagles losing this game which puts them at five losses I think the Eagles do lose a game like this but not this specific one I have them losing the game specific one they lose yeah I lose I think they always played better down the stretch they I think they lose against Jacksonville that's the game I think they did disappointed but I do think but the down the stretch the Steelers always play well that's true but I I but remember there's three games after this so I still think the Eagles win and then Pittsburgh does their thing in the final few but all right week 16 another Washington game I'll be honest I think they sweep Washington this year I think they beat Washington once again I think I think they sweep Washington too I was between one of these two games where I thought the Eagles might lose so if they lose against Pittsburgh they'll beat Washington or vice versa if they beat Pittsburgh I think they would have lost to Washington so I Pi the Pittsburgh game okay because I felt like they needed a home loss so I wanted to throw him in a home loss well the home loss that you're missing is Jacksonville that's just what I think but I agree with you there has to be I think Pittsburgh might be a better team than Jacksonville no I think they are but come on I think it's I think week seven seems like that disappointing week but anyway or week nine sorry my apologies week nine no you're good I think they're around the same both of those teams I think they're around the same all right so I have them at 10 and five with two games to go but guess what they're playing Dallas at home it's a win this is this is a this is a confident win from the Eagles that really puts them in a good playoff position actually this could be the game that clinches them the division just saying this could be the game it could be yeah you you gotta go back to the 2019 Eagles Cowboys game remember that was basically the G I mean they didn't clinch it then but that was kind of like the game that determin the division and then the Eagles beat the Giants the last week of the season I think they win this game against Dallas we were talking about it before that both teams they always playlit with each other most seasons if not it's usually been Dallas sweeping Eagles a couple times from my Rec memory but I I think that the eagles they get a win against Dallas at home they shouldn't win that game um and I believe that they will be favored in that game as well like once we obviously get closer but you know barring like injuries and stuff I have the Eagles winning that game and then they play week seven or week 18 against the Giants now yeah and we already kind of went over this I have the Eagles winning at home because I think they are going to be fighting for a higher seed I think by now the division is in their grasp because I think that Dallas game decides the division but that game against New York I think they still need to win because the Niners are there the Lions the Packers you name it A team's going to be there to fight with with the Eagles for a top seed and I think the Eagles are going to want to play some of their guys and I think they win that game so yep so I have them winning that game so I have the Eagles at 12 and five I have them at 12 and five as well yeah so there you go we agree on both records how about that we went through the whole season so we both we both agreed on the Giants record and the Eagles record that's actually crazy I mean I even I even said I said this many times before in the past I thought the Eagles were going 12 and5 this year that's where I me too I they now and that's how I'm going to feel you know as as the course of the season goes on I think they're going to win 12 games this year the only thing is I don't think they're a better team than San Francisco or Detroit that's just the way I feel I think they're the third best team currently right now in the NFC until proven otherwise I think San Francisco right now is the top team I think Detroit is second I think Detroit could be potentially if their defense improves this year and Jameson Williams breaks out on their offense I think that's a team that could be the best team that could be the team to beat in the NF especially when you have two really good coordinators with Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn as well both coordinators are going to get the most out of their players so it's going to be very interesting NFL season I do think though because we we talked about the NFC a lot too like you know last year it wasn't so great but I think this year it's going to be much better especially since you have expectations for Green Bay you have expectations for the Rams where last year you didn't really have much for them and you got expectations for Atlanta where last year you didn't really know who was going to win that division it was a very very bad division but I do think Atlanta is a team that is going to win their division I think Tampa Bay could possibly be a wild card team the Bears I think have expectations with Caleb Williams and that loaded offense that they have and I think it's going to really just come down to their offensive line in the end so a lot of teams in the NFC that can really make a push for the playoffs and I think it's going to be better than what it was last year with more expectations yeah that's a great point you put I think we're going to have better football this year overall we we have great teams in this league we have great talent we're ready for a great NFL season and we just previewed both the Giants and Eagles season again Greg and I both have the Giants at 5 and 12 we also both have the the Eagles at 12 and five the complete reversal so uh Greg you wanted to mention some real quick yeah I mean the AFC you already know what you're getting from that's true loaded with a bunch of teams it's just the NFC but now we think the nfc's got that Talent again so yeah we're ready for the NFC before we go since we're we're done our schedule Key Offensive and Defensive Players predictions before we go I talked to Greg about this before the show we want to do it real quick we are each going to pick who we think is going to be the offensive MVP of the my I'm going to pick for the Eagles Greg will pick for the Giants who we think our offensive MVPs are going to be who we think the Eagles Giants defensive MVP is going to be and who we think is going to be the worst player because why not predict well we're going to predict who we think will be the worst player this year on our on our favorite teams Greg how do we want to do it uh do you want to start with the Giants or the Eagles or do we go with the Eagles this time let's go with the Eagles this time all right well I think the offensive MVP for the Eagles is going to be Jaylen Herz I was close between Herz and brown because AJ Brown I think was the MVP last year of the offense but this year again I've said this multiple times jayen Herz is going to go back to that m VP form that we saw in 2022 I think kellmore is going to unlock more of his really put him in the right situations unlock more of his talent and really put him in again put him in the right situations put him in the right spots really lead him through his progressions he's going to have a great year especially with saquan really like you said kind of taking off the load off his back this season and he still has guys like AJ Brown Devonte Smith and Jan dson who they trade for recently so I think the offensive MVP is going to be Jaylen Herz thoughts on that Greg I'm going to agree with you I actually have AJ or AJ Brown as or no no not AJ Brown uh Jaylen Herz as the the offensive the yeah the MVP for the Eagles this year I think that I would go with AJ brown but I think the targets you're obviously got Devonte Smith you got Dallas got her and you even got saquin you know they're going to probably use saquan as a receiving back as well because that's what he's always he's been known for as well as as good as as he runs the ball he's just as good as a receiving back as well he was great in College of that he was great with the Giants of that I think the one thing with sequan is that he lost a little bit of a step I don't think he's that same explosive running back like we've seen in his rookie season I think the injuries have really gotten to him one thing I do want to mention though with saquon because I this is pointed out a lot everybody likes to talk about the MetLife Stadium turf oh there's too many injuries on that field you know it's it is true but if you look at all of saquon's injuries they were away from MetLife Stadium that is true it is it's the truth so if this is not a running back this is not a player that gets hurt because he plays at MetLife Stadium all of his injuries are away from MetLife Stadium so I think that's a thing to keep a look out for you also got to look out for the offensive line he has in front of him it's it's actually a decent offensive line for the first time so that's true that is is true that is true but I mean if you look at some of like saquon's injuries like the torn ACL against the Bears that wasn't because of their offensive line the injury that he had against the Cardinals that wasn't because of their offensive line like you can't just put it all on the offensive line it just happens I mean football's the game's a part of injuries it happens all the time so yeah you know I mean listen saquan had some tough luck with it though but I mean it is what it is and you got to get through it and that's the one ke for sequan this year he's got to be able to stay healthy and I think if he does he's going to be great under that offensive line yeah and now I'll quickly get to my defensive MVP for the Eagles and I think it's going to be Jaylen Carter I think Jaylen Carter is gonna have a crazy year for the Eagles I could see him getting double digit sacks I think he's going to really prove that he's one of the League's best defensive te or interior defensive lineman I think he's gonna have a great year and as for my worst player I think I thought a little bit about this one Greg and I'm between two names Kenneth gamewell and James Bradberry and actually I'm gonna give it to Kenneth gainwell I'm gonna give it to Kenny gainwell I think James Bradberry is just going to be that little bit better but I think Kenny Gall hasn't has I think will Shipley clears him in in the depth chart going throughout the season so that's who I think is going to be my defensive MVP Jaylen Carter and then my my worst player my lvp if you want to call it that least valuable player Kenny gameo so Greg hit us with your offensive defensive MVPs and your worst player if who you think will be the worst player for the Giants all right so I had we already did the offensive player oh wait are you want you want to pick yours for the Eagles too or do you want to give yours for the Giants it doesn't matter what do you want to do I want to hear your your MVP and and for both the offensive side and defensive side for the Giants for the Giants okay so for off offensive side MVP I am going to go with neighbors I think neighbors B him I think he's going to go out there and do his thing as long as he gets good separation and you know he's gonna have like a couple one of those wow plays you know where y you know he may not get the best separation where he goes and catches a 50-50 ball I think neighbors is gonna have a great rookie season and then defensively this is this is a no-brainer to me the in my opinion the best defensive tackle or at the very at least a top two top three defensive tackle in football Dexter Lawrence I knew noer that is a Nob braider de I love de over Brian Burns yeah well he's better than well I mean Burns is an edge rusher and I mean Dexter Lawrence is one of the best players at his position in the league that's true I mean no one's viewing Brian Burns as a a top five Edge rusher although I think he's he's a really good he is a good Edge rusher though but I mean Dexter Lawrence is is the man so that makes sense and then who do you think will be the lvp least valuable player worst player on the Giants you know I want to be right about him I want to be right I hope I want I want him I want him to really turn out to be what I think he could be I'm not gonna go with Daniel Jones really I'm not no I thought you were gonna go with Daniel Jones no I'm not gonna go with Jones really but I do think I want him to do well but I think Evan Neil oh there it is there he is he lost the job he he loses his position he got hurt actually but I think if he played this year I just don't think he's really going to do much though yeah I haven't really heard much information about it but if it's not him it's gonna be Jones it's gonna be I think it's gonna be Jones I think Jones is gonna be the wor it's
