police in Nashville Tennessee are praising singer John bonjovi for helping to save a woman's life the Metro Nashville Police Department shares a video September 11th on X formerly Twitter that authorities say shows The 62-year-old Rocker walking along the John Sean thaler pedestrian bridge in the clip posted by police John notices a woman standing on a Ledge outside of the Bridge's guardrail and approaches her while waving hello the video shows the woman leaning over the ledge of the bridge with her arms wrapped around the railing police say John and others talked to the woman and helped her come back onto the bridge before embracing her in a hug the department praised the Jersey born singer on X writing quote a shout out to John bonjovi and his team for helping a woman on the Sean thaler pedestrian bridge Tuesday night bonjovi helped persuade her to come off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety the department also quoted chief of police John Drake saying quote it takes all of us to help keep each other safe according to The Tennessean the musician was nearby shooting a new music video for his song the people's house E news has reached out to the Metro Nashville Police Department and John's Reps for comment but is not yet heard back John is no stranger to helping people he and his wife dorotha founded the jbj soul foundation in 2006 which routinely helps people in times of Crisis particularly dealing with homelessness and hunger in a January statement after earning the 2024 music car's person of the year award John says of his charity work quote nearly two decades ago when I formed the jbj soul foundation and jbj soul kitchens I saw firsthand and continued to see today the impact of charitable community-based work I know this for sure helping one's Community is helping oneself [Music]
