everyone to Williams white Stadium home of the South Carolina game clocks always loud and passionate these folks are ready to Roar today it's a top 25 match up two teams off to good starts hoping to build on that and test themselves against another ranked team as we'll see a team coming off a crucial by we the Kentucky Wildcats taking on the sixth ranked team in the land the South Carolina game Cops with EA Sports college football and Chris fer joined here in the booth by KT K Street let's get to the action on the [Applause] field now the kickoff team is out on the field bringing it out it's Sullivan tackle at the 13 not great field position to start the drive the Gamecock special teams don't do the offense any favors with that return and here comes that star wide receiver he's got the bounce the aura he walks on the field with some swag saying I'm the man and I know it well he certainly does and you know what he probably should it's founded in all the hard work that he puts in the dedication and the summertime during practice you can see some of the defensive backs watch him as he more himself studying him they know it's going to be a long day trying to deal with this receiver picks up the first looking for more they make the stop but not before a solid gain that time a first and 10 play coming up for the offense Chris I know it's the first play of the Game Boy nice job by this offensive line the back gets behind him picks up some positive yards he makes the grab brought down but not before he gets into enemy territory at the 49 fresh set of down first and 10 there a great ability by this quarterback to get outside of the pocket and place the football right where it needs breaks clear End Zone ahead and he takes it all the way to the end zone touchdown gamec game breaking speed for the running back to reach the end zone that is just Priceless for an offense hereis setep back was able to find that crease in the defense let's give credit to the Big Fellas up front for creating that crease they all played key roll in that score but they'll try to add to the lead now with the pat pat is good they jump at front seven nothing kickoff team is on the field to boot this one away and it's wield in the returner make something happen here and they've got the return of Corral so the Kentucky Wildcats offense gets their first crack now let's talk about the strong safeties in this game these guys are Thumpers they love to come up and hit Chris how many times have we singled out the strong safeties but in this case they deserve it I mean these guys are essentially linebackers playing safety but they can cover receivers like Corners these two are just wrecking balls on the field it's going to be fun to watch run it up the middle but stuff for no game and this crowd coming to life here trying to help the defense get a stop with the offense pin back scanning the field it's Vandergriff receiver looks it in it's complete tackle made at the 24 as they begin to put a drive together just underway and this home crowd is fired up and ready to make a difference today from the shotgun it's a handoff and they'll tackle him for a loss of 5 yards they go backwards on first down so it's second and long from the 19 hand off here from the shotgun tackled behind the line it's a loss of two Chris this is what I'd love to see from the defense here is the linebackers are scraping doing their job but you need help from the secondary and when you have agressive tacklers on the back end you got a great defense this time the secondary makes the difference defense flies in they make the tackle behind the line of scrimmage special teams on the field now here comes a pun I'll tell you what man this defensive speed is electric great job of running to the football nowhere to go at all after that throw the coverage team makes the stop on this return and the Gamecocks offense is back out there on the field great possession last time they've punched it into the end zone can the defense come up with a stop this time gets the ball up as he's hit but it's incomplete well the pass rush does a good job of chasing him out of the pocket he's trying to buy some time looking down field but he better be careful being too patient he gets hit as he throws this football and it falls incomplete and they'll stop him after a fairly minimal pickup not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down and he'll drop back here on third down quick throw over the middle oh the pass is picked off he's got some room and some blockers here and look at a return after the interception sets the offense up in good shape big guys up front lined up it's first [Applause] down it's a run running back's got it and they'll tackle him for a loss of five yds now it's second down here tail back with another carry when they try midle but stuck for no game they moved the ball into good position but now it's third and long to the air it's Vander fires it to the wide out can't hold on good defensive play brings up a fourth down so they're short on fourth down and the coach decides to trot out the field goal team and the field goal is good oh Chris it's nice kick here to polish off that drive with at least three points up on the board They Come Away with three points on the drive and now the kickoff team will boot it away and he takes this one inside the five and he stopped at the 20 tried to make something happen but that's good coverage there and the South Carolina offense is back out on the field we'll see if this quarterback can shake off the interception he threw in the last possession pitch play to the back already got the first down but looking for more yardage finally brought down but the option produces a big gain that time that's great execution G moves it with the 35 first down again quarterback drops back from the shotgun short pass finds the tight end they make the tackle but not before a solid gain on that pass we see this all over the country now in college football defensive back staying back a little bit deeper forcing the quarterback to have to throw things in front I like the decision here by the quarterback because he gets posi yards it's a good way of staying ahead of the chains it's incomplete he was hit as he threw that time and now third down coming up see if the offense can move the chains off that incompletion quarterback making adjustments now to what the defense is showing doesn't hold on good hit by the DB now it brings up fourth down man on your own side of the field you're playing a risky game here third and short your goal should just be keep this drive alive the best way you can sometimes is just hand the ball off to your running back and have him get behind that offensive line and go to work curious to see what they do now here on this four oh and he's in the clear now it's a foot race no stopping and takes it all the way touchdown South Carolina he just breaks away and takes it to the house from distance that's an elite running back type of play you know when he got out into open field I didn't know if he had the speed to take that thing all the way to the house but he does that's next level speed Fields it just outside the goal line tackled at the 22 good job by the coverage team here comes the Kentucky offense back out there tough to win these games kicking field goals they know they need to reach the end zone This Time Zero running R stopped right at the line of scrimmage offense getting set up here's second down hand off to the back has the first down and more tackled at the 32 that's enough for a first [Applause] down and he's got it again tackled behind the line it's a loss of two Bon second down play coming up D this defense continues to just be physical it's a line of scrimmage offense can't do anything on the ground and by doing that this defense is allowing their defensive front to get pressure on the quarterback every time they drop back the throw they become a one-dimensional offense drops back looking to throw for it on third down cannot Escape that ver Ro's pass rush a sack and here comes the punter onto the field Chris that's on the offensive line right there they definitely have to be feeling responsible because it's almost like you didn't protect your little brother back there he's got some day light turning on the [Music] speed and the game CS offense is back out there on the field from that last touchdown dve they just pound it away with the ground game let's see if that formula works again he's moving out of the pocket caught on the outside it's Jacobs and he'll make his way out of bounds after gaining decent yardage second down play coming up try to run it with the option well when you run that out route it's going to end up very close to the sideline oh his awareness to realize not only keep his eyes on the football but where he is on the field gets his toe down before he goes out of bounds for the catch the offense is clicking and the defense just searching for answers now looking to pass it's sellers looking to scramble quarterback on the move trying to make something oh nothing but green grass ahead four set of bounds after a nice gain the offense is knocking on the door with a first and goal and this quarterback can play the game he can throw as we see here he can run the football the defense does everything that they need to with the pressure they look like they're in good position to be able to come up with a nice play on him but instead he shows how he can slip out of the back door of this defense and pick up a nice game [Applause] so the quarterback lost track of where he was he was all the way beyond the scrimmage pass see if the offense can punch it in on second and goal [Music] here's the snap quarterback drops back pass ball is incomplete there was a lot of contact no penalty brings up third down you get a tight end like this and you know he's used to dishing out the punishment but here he's the one that has to absorb the contact and as a result he's unable to hold on to the football and he'll be brought down this a dangerous part of the field to be reaching into your bag of tricks for a minute I thought it was going to set up perfectly for them instead they don't get into the end zone but they do pick up some positive yards he did not get it a crucial play by this defense what a fourth down stop and W listen to this crowd noise this stadium is vibrating that's why this is such a tough place for visitors to play he finds his man not much after the catch but it is good enough for a first down Downs after that completion trying the old counterplay here and the Run moves the ball up to the 33 great job by the offensive line here opening up some holes and getting the running back room to run on first down plays like this can open up the playbook for the play caller fired into a tight window and picked off look out he's got some space he's going to score on the pick six touchdown game Cops and the interception taken to the house a 56 potential game-changing play there man nothing gets a defense and especially a defensive coordinator more fired up than a pick six let's not forget give credit to some of those other Defenders for making some key blocks to Spring that touchdown loose here's a kickoff team let's see if they give the returner opportunity to bring this back returner looking to create better field position tackled at the 14 not very good field position the start here this line getting set up it's a first down [Applause] play keeping it on the ground here nothing doing in that play The Big D tackle there for the stop the second down after that previous play they're going to run it here the Freshman brings him down quickly another short game for this offense on the ground to give a lot of credit to the defense they have really negated that aspect of this offense the entire first half and really making first and drop back at the 8 yd line and the punt team makes its way out of the field boy the defense would not be denied on this play they come up with a sack quarterback really didn't have much of a chance at all lucky he just held on to the ball and the returner is tackled by this punt coverage team and the South Carolina off back out on the field last possession they were stopped on fourth down but it didn't cost him anything can they put together something here get PA on the out route and they get him down after the completion the key here Chris is the timing by the quarterback the fact he got the ball out quickly gave his receiver a chance one more hitch or a slight hesitation and that's an incompletion or an interception out of bounds after another big game they have sh up this defense with the ground game today the offense really clicking against this embattled defense quick throw catch made on the out rout that's a big game before he goes out of bounds it'll move the sticks more than enough for a first down the Gamecocks getting set on First and 10 good catch just past the first down line to allow the drive to continue it's a nice play by the quarterback and wide receiver there nice grab it's Jacob and he's run out after a big gain the offense has been set up with a first down and goal this defense has got to do a better job and coverage if they want to get off the field anytime soon you keep defending like that and this offense could have 50 on you by the end of this game quarterback making some changes at the [Applause] line and he'll set up to throw rolls right trying to make something happen and it's a throwaway it's a good call down here in the Red Zone on first down it's a second and goal play for the offense well sometimes an answer for an offensive coordinator against a good pass rush is to move the launching Point move the quarterback from one spot to another to affect the rhythm of the pass rush makes the grab in the end zone touchdown South Carolina Titan was wide open how do they lose the big fell down there KK I don't know I wish I knew I the defense to me looks like they just were so locked in on defending the goal line they forgot about the tight end that'll probably be the easiest touchdown throw and catch we see in the game today extra point is good and they're in front now 283 here's the kickoff team Now set to boot this one away 2 looks like they'll try to make a play with the return and the return will be brought down and the K and the Kentucky offense is back out on the field last time was a quick three and out can they get a drive going this time Al out of the shotgun he'll hand it off the gain is three yds brings up a second down and [Applause] seven they're moving the receiver now before the snap B handed off here's a Jet Sweep brought down a broken tackle a solid game one of those critical third down plays coming [Music] up looking to pick up the first down through the air looks to his left and makes the completion tackle right at the 30 good enough to move the sticks the drive stays alive with that completion for a first down that's a great play by this offense to keep the drive alive and a good find by the quarterback on third down they bring him down but a solid gain there in first down looks to be just inches short of the marker offense getting set it's second down love those positive yards on First and 10 and it's not quite a first down looks like it'll raise second in inches but sure does open up the Playbook here to be able to open up maybe take a shot down field this Kentucky offense is quickly moving down the [Applause] field first down looking to throw the ball running back grabs it on the screen defense makes the tackle but that screen produces a pretty solid Game Pass complete it's second down now screen plays are risky because the defense can get to the quarterback and it also can be covered many times quarterback just throws it away here they get some positive yards offense needing to keep this drive alive it's a third down play I mean Chris you have to admire this offense they continue to try to sprinkle in the Run game even though it's not been able to really get established but they're not just becoming onedimensional you got to respect that and hopefully at some point it'll pay off no kick it away here and the PT will land in the end zone for a Touchback and what final play before the end of the [Music] quarter look at this an end round to start the [Applause] drive they get him down to wrap up the first Peri of play and it's South Carolina in the Le here and as we reach the end of one the lead is starting to mount let's take a quick look at the first quarter stats before we move on before halftime The crucial second quarter beginning right now here we go first play of the quarter offense setting up for a second down play they'll run the option he'll toss it to the back they make the tackle but enough for a first down textbook execution on the option receivers are bunched [Music] together oh here comes the reverse he's found some room at the 45 breaks into the clear it's a Sprint takes it all the way to the house touchdown game Cops well that's a well oiled machine right there everyone on this offense has been a star in their rolls and when they're rolling like this results in quick and positive results and the Pat is good getting set to kick the ball off now Kentuck he's going to return it from near the goal line and the coverage team gets the returner to the ground and here comes the Kentucky offense back out there the last Drive stall will were forced to pun it away let's see what they can come up with this time offense will keep it on the ground here solid run moves the ball out across the 20 to the 21 the game makes it second and [Applause] medium ball handed off the junior able to bring him down quickly see that's how you limit what an offense wants to do this time the defense just W the battle up front at the line of scrimmage not giving up any big plays everybody's Gap sound it's really solid defense on that play tackle made quickly but a big chunk play for this offense through the air about time this offense gets going it's a first and 10 there's the handoff and he's able to find some room before they finally bring him down here's the second down play looking downfield it's Vander receiver makes the catch he's tackled quickly but the yardage is good enough for the first down and new set Downs after that [Applause] completion but go with the ground game here running back takes the hand off and they make the stop and get the ball carrier down this is the sixth play on the drive quick throw the catch is made to get him down quickly not much of a gain in that completion now it's third and short from the 21 he's trying to make a stand here and prevent a touchdown dropping back get a throw for the first down and the sophomore has got him for a sack coach Alexa try for three points and sends out the field goal unit he connected the first time this attempt is from 44 yds away kick is good gives the offense three points to show for that drive so after coming away with three in that drive the kickoff team is out snap the hold the kick everything there perfect to put three points up here for the offense brought down just across the 25 yd line and the Gameco offense is back out there on the field this group has been clicking they really built momentum and the defense make adjustments come up with a stop here he lets it go on the Move incomplete there's a marker down in the back field let's get the call holding offense moving backwards after that holding penalty first down play call how aggressive will it [Applause] be oh a reverse they'll tackle him out across the 20 second down play coming up for this offense quarterback sets up looking for an open man the sure hands it's Jacobs defense shs him out of bounds not much of a game there offense facing a third and long from the 25 what's the call going to [Applause] [Music] be quarterback appears to be changing the play tun drops back needing a third down completion here comes up with the catch he stopped short of the marker so it's fourth down now and there's just nothing here for the quarterback to do other than throw it to his back and hope that he can get the yards after the catch enough for the first down but the defense gives some yards but not enough for him to get to the sticks as the first down is still going he bring him down but he makes the four yd line that's a solid game the game CS with first and 10 here Tren show guys that are continuing to go for it on fourth down but what's crazy to me Chris is deeping your own territory to go for it on fourth down the ball is picked off going the other way can they stop him so a great return ing the pick they're finally able to get him down first down here for this [Applause] offense they'll hand it off fighting off the defender touchdown wild cats Wills his way to the end zone Chris he broke free from the line of scrimmage I thought he might have a 10 or 15 yd gain but he shows you the that he has to take it all the way to the house they add the extra point the trail now 3513 now they get set to kick it away return starts from inside the five and he stopped at the 20 tried to make something happen that's good coverage there and the South Carolina offense is back out on the field this drive is important last one ended in an interception let's see if they can get a and it's picked off he throws it right into double coverage P for Chris that's backto back drives now that this offense has thrown interceptions they've got to be able to regroup on the sideline adjust their schemes maybe their personnel groupings and formations try to find a new way to attack because right now this isn't tackle made quickly at the 11 but the offense in the red zone now new set it down to the offense first and 10 they'll try the ground game here with the running back that's a nice tackle there by the senior R coming to the line on second down this is important they want to avoid a third and long option look it's Vandergriff and he runs it in for the score touchdown Kentucky we had a short field the offense did exactly what they're supposed to do that would have been a big ask for the defense there Curry absolutely but when you're given that kind of field position anything less than a touchdown would be a disappointment they did exactly what they need to do by capitalizing on that short field Fields it inside the 5 yd line and he stopped at the 19 good job by the coverage team and the game Cox offense is back out there on the field let's see how this quarterback respond remember an interception on the very first play of the last possession that's a solid game moves the ball to the 29 offense getting set second down play here [Applause] there's the snap looking to throw the ball def fall is caught for a huge gain here and he breaks clear down the right side it's a foot race touchdown South Carolina no chance to catch him man this defense coordinator better adjust to this receiver all they did was get him the ball in space and you can see what he can do after the catch one Defender will not slow this receiver down today you better bracket him or use double coverage he took out team on the field now as they get set to send this one away and here's the return from inside the five to be tackled at the 17 strong job by the coverage team and the Kentucky offense is back out on the [Applause] field testing the right side here oh look at the quick cut and they'll force him out of bounds after a short run getting set here's second down up takes the ball tries the right side here they tackle him behind the line a loss of four Carter has been very busy so far can they finally convert here on third down well I don't think the offensive line gave the back much of a chance at all now give credit to the defense there almost like they were in he fires this throw and it's intercepted follows the pick with a nice return before finally being brought down well this quarterback's got to regroup that's his second interception in this game right now he's got to do a better job but Chris it's easy to sit up here and say that could be the receiver running the wrong route balls sometimes can get tipped all we know is at the end of the day a guy pulling the trigger is responsible it's a 2yd gain second and eight coming up Christino the spread era over the years has always grown offensively but I've been always impressed with defenses that really build their defense to play in space still have an ability to be sound at the line of scrimmage and defend a running game it's exactly what we saw right there the Gamecocks are in the Red [Music] Zone here we go on First and 10 they'll look to throw it quarterback ES escapes the pocket touchdown game pucks this offense is still clicking well they began with great field position and that didn't take long at all well that's how you take advantage of an opportunity your defense sets you up in great field position you're not looking for a field goal you're looking for a touchdown give the credit to this offense for being aggressive and punching it in to try to add the lead now with the pat extra point is good and they stretch the lead a little bit more kickoff team has come on the field now to send this one away9 he'll return it from inside the five and he stopped at the 19 good job by the coverage team here comes the Kentucky offense back out there the last possession ended in an interception let's see if they continue to trust this quarterback in the passing game quarterback pulls the ball it's a keeper they'll tackle him about the 23 yd line well there's just so many things happening on these read option plays and they happen fast this defense has done a good job of trying to prevent this quarterback from hitting the big play he gets some yards here at least he didn't get out for a big game so the offense getting set this is not where you want to be against this defense third and long to throw it's Vander receiver makes the grab third the defense will wrap him up after about a 6yd gain not enough for the first it's Fourth Down they'll kick it away here running it back it's Bennett mover seemed able to bring the returner to the ground fresh set it out for the offense first down and they start the drive with an end round play the gain is three yards so second and [Applause] seventh back chang the play now at the line look at a pass here on second down that one Falls incomplete looking for a flag doesn't get it brings up third down they come to the line a long way to go for the first down but needing this crucial conversion right now he'll pitch it fighting for yardage but the defense stops him just short of that first down marker now fourth down fourth down and two their territory coach shows no hesitation the offense is on the field oh it's a reverse bu carrier heads out of bounds but the pickup is good enough to move the chain first down the Gamecocks line up on First and 10 now well great call Chris you're still in your own territory but going for it in this situation isn't as risky as say being on your own 20 obviously so I'm fine with the call and clearly works out for him this time second down after that completion there's the snap they'll set up to [Applause] throw hit as he releases it and the pass Ball's incomplete well there's nothing like pressure to affect the accuracy and the timing of the quarterback trying to throw a football and on this play they end up flushing him out to his left contacted him as he's trying to throw the football that's what led to this incompletion you've reached the two-minute warning here let's see if this offense can build on this big lead before halftime the Gamecock will come to the line looking to keep the drive going on fourth down they're going to run the option pitch to The Back finds room at the 30 he canot stop him he's in touchdown South Carolina and it's just a thing of beauty to watch this offense that's this guy's third touchdown give the offensive line a lot of credit they're getting enough of a push to give him some room to show you what he can do with that [Music] space and they'll set up for the p and the kick is up and good they tack on a point to their lead kickoff team is on the field see if they give the returner chance to bring this one back 56 KCK and he takes this from inside the five and he stopped at the 20 tried to make something happen but that's good coverage there and the Kentucky offense is back out on the field this has been a rough first half they'll have to regroup an intermission but in the meantime let's see if they can get some momentum going the sure hands it's brown pick up is five yds so it's second down and five here comes the Tempo offense second down we're going to throw it catch made on the right side that's a big gain and the play is good enough for a first down they'll move the ball to the 44 enough for first dropping back it's Vander physical defending that one Falls incomplete brings up second down it's now second the corner is now playing a couple yards off the ball quarterback looking to throw it on second down and it's complete downfield time out is called to talk strategy late in this close game with halime approaching first down play call coming up how aggressive will it be from the gun he looks for an open man and he's got it tackle made at the 26 yd Line This offense getting closer to the Red Zone big guys up front lined up it's first down and first down for the off and the back now goes in motion on First and 10 here looking to throw the ball the pass is caught they bring him down but not before he picks up first and goal yardage to the nine first and goal good chance to chip away at the lead before halftime from the shotgun he's probing the secondary makes the catch can he get in tackled down at the three after the catch defense up against it now now the offense will call a timeout that's their second of the half motion by the back will make the defense adjust short go to the back caught behind the line of scrimmage the defense swarms him theyve got him behind the line of scrimmage B at the six yd line now it's third and goal looking for six catch Made In The End Zone touchdown wild cats Chris this a great play by the receiver coming up for this touchdown let's go back to the beginning of this play give the quarterback a lot of credit he got the ball out of his hands quickly to get that receiver the football to give him a chance to put the touchdown on the [Applause] bardu fielded In The End Zone it's Bennett he's tackled at the 21 that's where the drive will start and the South Carolina offense is back out on the field they take the field with serious momentum they have been tough to stop so far can they keep it going trying to create here on the move and he finds a wide open receiver they forgot about him downfield the offense will take their first time out of the half let talk strategy here Carolina on First and 10 looking a throw looking for the wind out and is complete what a grab by the receiver right near the sideline another chunk play this offense is really clicking and another first here comes a first down pass attempt lets it Go quickly pass is caught right near the sideline What A Catch does get the foot down they took a look just to confirm it but looks like they got it right on the field after the review the play will stand it so the offense looking to be efficient here not much time remaining before the end of the half first down looking to throw the football gets rid of it on the move and it falls incomplete with just 6 seconds remaining to play one more play before they head to the locker [Music] [Applause] room he look to throw it here on second down pulls it in it's hunt the offense will quickly spend a timeout here after the play here's first and goal a chance to really build this lead before halftime first half here let's kick it now to Kevin Connor with our halftime update guys you've been calling a lively one so far from there in Colombia and it's been a battle of wills between these two teams through two quarters Bend but don't break they managed to neutralize the explosive Playmakers on each side by shutting down passing windows and providing tight coverage forget the jimmies and Joe's in the first down I think in a process Chris they send a message to the defense you can Rush our quarterback all you want but when you do you better be careful cuz we're going to throw the screen on you a big hit by the linebacker physical tackle there big versus [Applause] big up the backs got it they'll stop him behind the line for a loss of one looks like a man is down on the field after the last play so it we'll take a timeout R back in the back field and he'll get the carry and the play goes nowhere picked up about a yard but it'll be four down team ready to boot it away forced to kick now for this defense and looking to throw now on first down he's hit as he he's picked for a third time tonight not much on the return there but the takeaway will set up the offense at the 38 his line interesting call here inside your own 10 they're going to get the wide receiver involved in the Run game and I love him he's a dynamic player but the defense not fol at all there for a short gain got the first down now looking for more they bring him down but an explosive play by this offense big game big chunk play this offense operating at Peak efficiency just pounding away for another big gain Kirk you wonder if this defense is beginning to it's will oh and he breaks free it's a foot race touchdown game cups stretching the lead this one is getting ugly so the offense flexing her and stretching their lead here in the second half and that touchdown gives you a little bit more breathing room but now it's up to your own defense to help preserve that lead so you can go back out and build onto it in the second half and the point after is right down the middle 63 he's going to return it from near the goal line physical run breaking tackles he steps out at the 23 that's where the drive will start and the Kentucky offense is back out on the field they're coming off a quick three and out so looking to put something together on this drive with a little more urgency makes a quick catch he bring him down but he makes the 40 yd line that's a solid game they bring him down but the veteran quarterback shows off that trademark arm strength first down for the off first down looking to throw the ball pass B is incomplete there's a flag down did the receiver push off to get separation I think that's his really only play here because if he doesn't knock that defensive back away from the football that's an interception a quick throw out left complete tackle finally they that's a very solid gain but not close to first down yardage yet second down after that run on the previous play well this is what coaches love to see a quarterback with the ability to read the defense properly and then just get it to the open man sometimes it sounds simple but it's tough to execute this time we had good recognition by the quarterback and he gets it down to the tight end you can see what he can do after the catch they'll try the option play here he's swallowed up at the line could not get past that big defensive tackle now it's second down here to the air it's Vander receiver looks it in it's complete defense reacts quickly a very short gain on the play that completion sets up a third down play dropping back looking to throw for the first down catch made over the middle takes the football inside the 30 that's a first down a new set of downs after that completion this is a big conversion by this offense they're down now in this second half probably limited opportunities at this point in the game every chance you get your hands on the ball you need points they keep this drive alive right here here comes the handoff not much on that plug brought down short offense are going to keep this drive going into the Red Zone third down and short try and muscle for the first down they bring him down but that's a solid gain on the play the offense sets up with a first and goal you know even though that these guys are facing a deficit they're not just going all through the air love the fact that you're running the football keeping this defense honest not panicking by just throwing every single down you get a new set of downs and a chance to keep moving the ball down the field [Applause] K decides to keep it here couldn't quite get there but brought down at the one yd line G HS the ball to the one third down and [Music] goal quarterback still with the football and he runs it into the end zone touchdown Kentucky man this quarterback has everything you're looking for when it comes to executing the option play he's got speed he has instincts has a great feel at the mesh point and seems to make this defense pay for it every single time they call turn starts from inside the five physical run breaks through a tackle get some blocks they're just able to stop him but that is a greaton he's a dangerous guy with the football it's a great SP start this drive and the Gamecocks offense is back out there on the field trying to extend the play catch made a lot of space now touchdown South Carolina and the beat down continues that's another passing strike from his quarterback he is having himself a tremendous Ball Game Boy this guy just can't miss every single time he throws it seems like he's coming up with another touchdown the receivers are running good routes he has enough time to throw and man this poor defense they might want to think about changing up coverage cuz right now it is not working Fields it inside the 5yd line and the returner will be brought down here comes the offense looking to start the drive motion now from the tight [Applause] end play action here on first down fires it to the Wi out catch made down the left side had an explosive play stopped out at the 39 but good enough for a first down a new set of downs after that completion and the ball is handed off out of the shotgun tackle made after a nice pick up on the play so the offense with a first and 10 now the football placed exactly at Midfield Chris the thing that I love about this play is the running back showing great patience and then the vision to find that hole and then accelerate it for a nice game tackle made but a strong armed throw by the senior quarterback and that completion CK puts him over 300 yd passing today yeah anytime a quarterback has a day like this really it all has to come together with the offensive line play the receivers running these great routes and he's just in sync he's kind of in that zone right now he'll be the first one to tell you how much his teammates have helped him out today SS a quick throw and the game just good enough for a first a new set of downs after that [Applause] completion quick throw caught on the left side and he's tackled but only after picking up a first down Kentucky now operating in the Red Zone that's first for the looking to pass it's Vander looking to set up a screen pass here heads out of bounds after a solid game more than enough to pick up a first down the offense threatening close to the goal line with a new set of [Applause] downs it's a quick grab a huge hit by the linebacker a collision of big bodies there coming up second down and goal the DBS right near the line now showing press coverage looking to Chuck it again and it's caught touchdown wild cats how about that Chris the quarterback does a nice job getting the ball out of his hands quickly and why not with a receiver like this who can run like that get him the ball as fast as you can and let him do his thing and he knocks through the pat kickoff team on the field getting set now here's the return from inside the five he's tackled at the 21 that's when the drive will start on a South Carolina offense is back out on the field they really built momentum in this game they' been hard to stop the def make some adjustments come up with a stop here the pickup is seven yds now it's second and three9 quarterback drops back from the shotgun looking for a receiver finds the man down field it's a big gain to the right not much after the catch but it is good enough for a first down new set of downs after that completion [Applause] quarterback's got it on the option pitches to the back as the first down still on the Move finally brought down but the option produces a big game that time that's great execution the Gamecock ling up here on First and 10 offense looking to throw the ball that's reeled in it's Jacobs defense surrounds him just a short gain on that completion that completion sets up a second down play boy this receiver in slot is giving this defense all kinds of problems he has another catch on the day you may want to adjust out get out of your base maybe try and five or six defensive backs on the field somebody that can match up more athletically against this slot receiver on third down he drops to throw CAU outside it's Jacobs it's almost like they don't have another receiver to throw the ball to this guy's been making all kinds of plays today and this time he decides to show off some fancy footwork and somehow stays in [Applause] bounds he's not going to get there the defense Rises up and makes a huge fourth down stop first down play call how aggressive will it be [Applause] turn they're going to run it it's a one yd gain second and nine coming up secondary backed up off the ball [Applause] now scanning the field it's Vander caught quickly breaks loose at the 40 breaks clear Endzone ahead they're not going to get him he's in touchdown Kentucky Kentucky that's a crucial response for this offense but still plenty of work to do here in the third qu well I love that they're still fighting and competing you can tell they've made some adjustments at half and try to get them back into this game and that score is a great [Applause] start he'll return it from inside the five and the C team pens him in and brings him down first down here for this offense looks like the QB is changing the play at the line first play of the drive they'll come out throwing scrambling around now looking down field he pulls in the catch marked out of bounds but it's another big game this Air Attack no problem moving the ball up and down the field today oh here comes the reverse Breaking Free at Midfield oh and he's in the clear now it's a foot race and a huge game before he scores out of bounds big yardage to set up a fresh set of downs the offense operating at Peak efficiency they come to the line again again here's the option play The Backs got it on the pitch they've got him but not before a solid gain on the ground there so down here in the Red Zone every yard tough to find here is a crucial play coming up it's an option look pitch play to the back got space looking to score touchdown game Cops to stretch the lead the route is on wait Chris one two three this is his fourth rushing touchdown in this game alone this guy has a chance to not only be player the game maybe player of the week in the whole sport point a knocked right through car and he takes this from inside the five and he stopped at the 19 good job by the coverage team here comes the Kentucky offense back out there oh a reverse they've got him back there for a loss of eight Al fo will line up chance for a couple more plays before the end of the quarter off play action he's looking to throw let a fly to the wide out makes the catch downfield oh and nothing but green brass ahead pass the 10 touchdown Wild CS it was a foot race that he wanted Chris the timing between the quarterback and the receiver here is exceptional great route here to sell that post to the inside and then break it off to the corner and a quarterback anticipates it well puts it on the Mone for that touchdown point after up and good and it's South Carolina in the lead here they got to be feeling pretty good about things as we wrap up the third quarter let's review how we got here take a lot turned this game around but strange things do happen in college football now the kickoff team is out on the field bringing it out it's Sullivan and he stopped with the 18 returner tried to make a play but a Touchback would have been a better idea and the Gamecocks offense is back out there on the field they'll start the drive here with an end round he's pass the marker and still going for set of bounds after a big game this offense set up for the first down to just one play and they're just shy of Midfield now on First and 10 they'll look to throw it fires it on the Move looks down field and finds a receiver who worked his way wide open they've got him but it's a huge gain they'll spot it about the 27 the offense really clicking here try to run it with the option he'll toss it to the back and he heads out of bounds after eing a few yards man you know the back gets a lot of the attention here he's a good back I love to see that offensive line win the battle with the line of scrimmage qub back looking to pass here on second down he called his own number and the Freshman QB keeps this drive moving boy this guy can do it all we know what he can do with his arm but when things aren't there does a good job of pulling it down knowing where the first down marker is picking up the first down they'll run the option he'll pitch it touchdown South Carolina and this one is getting ugly planing up to try the extra point extra point is good and they stretch the lead a little bit more kickoff team is on the field to boot this one away 84 Kentucky 55 f it just outside the goal line sto at the 22 that's pretty solid coverage there and the Kentucky offense is back out on the field look come out throwing here to start the drive receiver makes the catch and the defense swarms not much of a gain on that completion that completion makes it second and medium back to pass it's Vandergriff makes a quick grab that's a quick tackle but they pick up some solid yardage on that short throw important Third Down fight coming [Music] up that now goes in motion defense will have to adjust quick throw to his receiver and he's got his man open downfield that's a big gain finally brought down near the 37 Kentucky getting set with a first and 10 coming up hey this offense isn't giving up yeah we're in the fourth quarter you're down big but who knows make a big play try to get in the end zone maybe get an onside kick offense getting set up here's second [Applause] down of the play fake he'll look to throw it pass complete on a Crossing route they finally tackle him down at the one after that catch and run Hey listen this game isn't over yet the defense can't get too comfortable with this lead and I know the coach isn't content with giving up plays like that at any point in the game they'll try to run this one in they tackle him behind the line a loss of four but this defense is being challenged they're close to their own goal line but how about this play all 11 guys coming together they stood firm the result is a short loss for the offense nice job he's tackled down at the four yd line def getting pushed back G moves the ball to the FL it's third down and goal the DBS backing off from the line now looking to the end zone the pass is incomplete just across the goal line that is a tough one not to hang on to on third down and goal but a good job by the defense to get there and knock it Loose looking to the end zone and he's got it touchdown Kentucky well the call was sort of predictable Kirk but that tight end is just so tough to stop down here in the Red Zone listen speaking on behalf of all quarterbacks you get down in the Red Zone you're looking for that big Target that you can trust he's going to run a good route and he's got a big wing span to allow you to make a throw up into the air he can go up make a catch over most Defenders really good execution they come up with six he's tackled at the 21 that's where the drive will start and the South Carolina offense is back out on the field in that last touchdown Drive they just pound it away with the running game let's see if they can do it again fires it to the white out easy throw to a wide open receiver downfield tackle is finally made but it's a huge gain all the way to the 48 yd line with that completion right there this quarterback now has gone over 300 yd in this game what a day Breaking Free at the 35 tackle made after a big game this is a risky call by the offense a lot of times you'll see these plays get blown up but not here receiver turns on the Jets and makes a big Play Down field for a nice chunck of yards and a big game before he goes out of bounds the offense keeps churning gets a fresh set of downs you know I'd say this run is pretty emblematic in what we've seen all day long no matter what they've done on touchdown game Cops and the route is on [Applause] so they'll try to add to the lead now with the p and the kick is up and good they tack on a point to their lead here's the kickoff team let's see if they give the returner opportunity to bring this back 91 KES 62 he's going to return it from near the goal returner tackle right there that's when we start the drive here comes the Kentucky offense back out there dropping back it's Vander Griff looking for the wide out he's got it for a big gain and he will make the first down tackled at the 26 oh that was close got just enough for the first down against that man-to-man coverage good awareness by the receiver to get past the sticks and move Mo the chains on First and 10 here looking to throw the ball he pulls it in for a big gain he's tackled quickly but the yardage is good enough for the first down a new set of downs after that completion this guy has been such a big factor in this game already a couple touchdowns now they need the first down they dial him up again and he delivers they bring him down quickly a short pitch and catch to get a little bit closer to the marker important second down play coming up looking to throw it again let's It Go quickly it's caught downfield and the game just good enough for a first down how about the arm strength from this quarterback he really didn't have any other option and to put it right in there and give it everything that he had great timing and a good job of squeezing that in between the Defenders they bring him down but a big chunk of yardage on the play Kentucky has moved into the red zone now man this wide receiver has been a Difference Maker in this football game he's got two touchdowns already now they look to him again and he picks up will he score here and he gets to the end zone touchdown wild cats yeah they run the football here they come up with a touchdown obviously this game is Out Of Reach but again they're fighting to the very end which is always good to see and the extra point splits the uprights believe they're lining up to attempt an onside kick and the H Team able to make the crucial recovery well Chris as you know this is one of the toughest things to do in all of football trying to recover the onside kick but let's give credit to the hands team there for coming down with that ball for the return unit the sophomore able to bring him down quickly looks like a player is down injured at that last play we'll take a timeout where they check it out second down after that run on the previous Play here's the snap quarterback looking to throw finds a man open on the right side downfield and he finally steps out of bounds after a huge gain it'll be first down and goal offense racing down the field it sets up a first and goal inside the 10 tackled behind the line it's a loss of Two and a player was down injured after that last play will take a time out where they check him out we're going to score they run it to the left side and they finally bring him down at the five offense really threatening now that play sets up a third and goal from the five now oh it's a reverse touchdown South Carolina stretching the lead this one is getting ugly so the offense Flex in Kirk and stretching the lead here now in the second half well you can catch your breath here a little bit if you're this offense that touchdown can help you out but now your own defense can help you preserve the lead so you can go back out and continue to build upon that to the Finish return starts from inside the five and the returner is brought down and the Kentucky offense is back out on the field motion by the back defense better adjust dump balls caught by the running back there's a loss after the completion that's a good play by the defense they're behind the sticks on second and long here from the 12 dropping back it's Vander Griff and he finds his tight end for the catch and they bring him down that's a very solid game but still well short of the marker important Third Down fight coming up after that completion [Applause] [Music] dropping back he going to throw for the first down he's got his man in the open field breaks into the clear it's a Sprint and he takes it all the way to the end zone touchdown Kentucky now the try here for the extra point just get the ball into the hands of your guy and let him do the rest of the heavy lifting with the yards after the catch what a great catch and score well would indicate they're going toy the onside kick here and the receiving team makes the recovery the hands team does its job [Applause] [Music] perfectly and the Gamecocks offense is back out there on the field this group has been clicking they really built momentum and the defense make adjustments come up with a stop here testing the defense with a throw down field the pass is dropped incomplete would have had a huge gain took his eye off the ball second down play coming up and the quarterback looking to make a play through the air here's a wide openen receiver complete they bring him down but an explosive play by this offense big game to the ball plac right at Midfield as the offense starts with a first and 10 it is tough on a defense when a quarterback gets out of the pocket and makes the defense have to decide are we going to rush him or are we going to stay back in coverage and there the quarterback was able to keep looking down field find the receiver as the defense scrambled to adjust oh here comes the reverse they'll tackle him for a loss of five yards the defense there showed incredible discipline on the backside contained and that reverse wasn't going anywhere just textbook pitch to The Back third and shorten out of the offense for the plus 25 already in field goal range but can they convert keep the drive going they're going to run the option pitches to the [Applause] back tackle made but it's enough for the first down a well executed option play the game CS come to the line to set a fresh set of down well this offense just seems to get more confident as this football game is played out they've got a nice lead here they are in the fourth quarter just that pass rush has trapped him into sack the offensive line will have to regroup after the sack it's second and 13 here's the snap looking to throw that's going to be incomplete a lot of contact no flag brings up third down not going to be easy here backed up a long way to go for a first down all the reverse they make the stop but not before a solid game that time the gamec looking to punch it in here it's first and goal Chris I'm just taking back to our conversation with the defense coordinator this week and these are the kind of plays that he expected so he's not necessarily surprised to see it but his defense did look a little bit lost on that play and it cost him to get a first down quarterback wants to throw it on second down launching one to the end zone touchdown game Cs and the beat down continues how important was that touchd time Kirk it's now a two possession game here in the second half it's a great job with this offense with their execution and having situational awareness here in the second half they now have as you said Chris this two possession lead they got a great chance to finish it off and get a win Fields it inside the 5yd line they'll be tackled at the 18 that's good coverage there will here comes the Kentucky offense back out there first down here the offense has time for one more play before the two-minute warning back to throw it's Vander we've reached the two-minute warning here this offense needing to score and then get the football back offense facing a second and [Applause] 10 from the shotgun drops back pass ball is incomplete there was a lot of contact no penalty brings up third down boy this offense has really struggled today Chris when it comes to throwing the football they have dug themselves a huge hole they're not going to have any chance of coming back and I think one thing about this is you wonder where you go from here you're hoping to make a play or two to give yourself a belief that things can get better but it's just been receiver left alone wide open down field inside the 10 no stopping him takes it all the way touchdown Wildcat and they connect again that's just been an Unstoppable pitch and catch combination all game this receiver's been making this defense look silly Chris the entire game he has multiple touchdowns so far just shows you that whatever the game plan was to slow him down flat out hasn't worked and looks like the hands team are able to recover the football they'll stop him behind the line for a loss of one and the South Carolina offense is back out on the field this has been a tremendous performance by this team now just the finishing touches run out the clock and let the party begin running through the tackle and that run produces a decent gain looks like a man is down on the field after the last play so we take a timeout second down after that previous play and the quarterback dropping back throws a rocket toward the right side The Outfield shot is incomplete brings up third down quarterback checks the defensive look makes some adjustments avoiding the pressure moving out to the right CAU near the sticks it's Jacobs the game picks up the first down tackled at the 37 and a first down oh it's a reverse 5yd gain so it's second and five that's the mark of a well coached team these guys don't even pay attention to the score they're just out there executing and churning up yards good solid run there as this clock continues to wind down this offense has had a great day tackle made after a solid run by the junior the game CS are in the red zone now they'll try the option play here the backs got it on the pitch stopped short the marker after just a short gain coming to the line on second down this is important they want to avoid a third and long quarterback drops back probing the secondary looking for six looking for the End Zone but not complete so here we go third down in the Red Zone the kind of play that decides football games and he'll drop back here on third down quack heading right trying to create on the move they've got him at the five Great run to set up scoring position here the offense will spend the timeout with 27 seconds remaining the game c looking to finish the drive here it's first and goal quarterback drops back we going to test the secondary and it's picked off in the end zone well Mistake by the quarterback of putting that up in the air but a great play by the free safety you know you sit back and cover three the center fielder is the free safety he's got his eyes on the quarterback and when that ball is released he's got to show an athletic ability to be able to go find the football and come down with it for an interception offense getting set it's second down and the offense takes time out to stop the clock with just 11 seconds remaining here's the second down play back to pass it's Vander fires it to the wide out who makes the grab they stop him at the 49 but that'll be a first down now a late timeout is taken six seconds showing on the clock on First and 10 looking to throw press to beat the pressure with a deep shot that pass is incomplet trying for an O by the way touchdown but it's no good time expires so the win streak continues for this team good job Kirk bouncing back they're just getting stronger and stronger now you've seen their stock start to really rise and these players seem to be buying in credit to the coaching staff for leading this streak and keeping this team together after that loss a few weeks back you can tell this team is bought all the way in and that is going to wrap it up we enjoyed
