[Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] there's no time like it in Kentucky when it starts to really feel like high school football yeah we already started playing but with storms and heat sometimes it makes it more difficult to compete but for the best of the best in Kentucky they find a way to win weekend no excuses from this Bunch just hard hits and highlights plus the juice from the student sections and cheerleaders it's time for your favorite High School football shows favorite High School football show home team Friday nights live from Fox 56 Sports this is home team Friday nights [Applause] welcome in to another edition of home team Friday nights hi and Miss Brown alongside Michael Epps got a lot of action to get to tonight week four we're starting to get things rolling here good work on the intro I'm hyped up I hope you guys are hyped up thank you so much for tuning in we have some good matchups as you said the top matchup at least in our area if not the state was a good one down in Danville Boyle County the three Peter the three-time defending state champs look at this entrance there with the paper we've got some Angry Birds you like to see us Boyle County runs out there to face the Cardinals they are birds so I see where they're going now it's not that you'd expect from these three Peters Sage Dawson it's montavian Quisenberry the double pass to damarie Brown the Danville transferred with another TD this guy's the real deal left all alone a huge gem for Coach Justin Haddix in the off season the next card session what do you say Mitch break off the Robitussin oh he can't stop the football you can't cough up the football on the road against the defending state champs especially against an offense that just steamrolls down the field montavent Quisenberry Big Time strip there he's a two-way star you said it earlier Kentucky needs to keep him in the state he is a big time player Avery boner punches it in Scott County scored a couple but oh boy 54. it's a 21. uh Scott County still the number one team in Class 5A in the estate AP poll right now but I mean nobody's being boiled right now the last game of the year against Douglas that's really going to be the only shot it's going to be fun for sure so they're not getting humbled out there right now A team that got humbled in week one from in Ohio School Frederick Douglass they've gotten back on track since they let us get inside access this week [Music] all right listen up all right you got a great atmosphere out here okay you got a big crowd you know it would be I told you all week it would be home opener you only got one opportunity for a home opener okay that's it all right first impressions here at home keep them coming back and talk with these we lift weights all right we put you through the grind now don't get paid and be relentless and play Douglas Football let's go man oh yeah all right pastry they saw this sign time to start your losing streak they said bet oh do it then Douglas said got you they watched him come out too first quarter Jeremiah Lowe he's far from low-key here High key High stepping his way to the sideline to the end zone he goes the punt return for a touchdown you see the blue gloves there too Douglas on the board early doors hung in there for a while Douglas I need more from the student section than I got tonight but you got it on the field this is Mr Darion Talbert here Shifty ever so elusive turns on the Jets to the crib Douglas rolls 43-0 big one against Corbin next week they've never lost against the city school right that's just going to continue they got no shot hey let's stay in Lexington a beautiful night of Joseph K Ford Stadium good packed crowd trying to bounce back from the loss to Corbin last week nice put on a show against Great Crossing Joaquin Pereira scooting find the light at the end of the tunnel and he's pointing too he knew it big time Teddy to go up two 21 to zip and great energy from the Night Riders they're good on Twitter they're good everywhere and basketball games love to see the energy what a tip that tip catch big time Jackson wasick The Jackson crew sir I like the awareness right there slider on 99. love the sand right there Lex cat back in the win column that's a good win 36-15 they're down in 3A we got a couple other 3A teams that we're gonna watch here the rest of the show but it's going to be interesting to see how they can chug along here absolutely week four Rolling Along we continue after this quick break more action to get to stick around home team Friday nights rolls on after this time out yeah it's really Friday night from Fox 56 Sports you're watching home team Friday nights we're the Lexington Catholic food section and you're watching full deep Friday night that's what we love to see we're getting Deuce you guys see the camera you see the hands go up you know what time it is welcome back in to home team Friday night so let's bring in the third member of this team she was out and about tonight Nicole Hutchinson clutch in the hutch you know me y'all can always find me where the Vibes are it was hype over at Montgomery County the Indians of course off to their one of their best starts in two years pair so absolutely dominant and of course you got a packed house over in Montgomery County always and I can always expect packed house like I'm right here here Gregory a 30 yard touchdown pass for the kid out the gate Paris goes up seven nothing that was actually my friend right there that I met on the sidelines he was a little shy for the camera but you know who was camera ready tonight Donovan Griggs had a day true freshman that's actually head coach Rice's son right there so shout out to him that's a 50-yard pick six for him Paris of 14 and nothing a whole lot of highlight real plays tonight though just take a look at this right here Landon Scott fumbles the punt return pitches it to Jakari Ransom got teeth out of there that's a 65 yard punt return for a touchdown Paris gets the dub tonight 33-6 the final let's head out to Woodford County the yellow jackets host in the west coast Warren bears looking to pick up where they left off from last weekend of course this time freshman Lemmy Coons getting the qb-1 nod just watch him work finally Taylor over the middle and he's and he's chunking a the Deuces don't think any of y'all could catch up guys get on the board Woodford County this offense showing out tonight doing it on the ground this time as the junior Justice wertzler on the keeper taking ankles as he coasts in for the score in Woodford County sends the Bears home with an L shout out to my dogs over there at Woodford County I know head coach Dennis Johnson is happy about that but that'll do it for me guys I'm gonna send it on back to you hey Nicole I remember that kid at Paris he's always bugging me at the basketball game on camera he's actually a good kid so much love the persistence you want to talk about persistence they got beat by Louisville team first week of the Season Brian station tonight trying to get a little bit of uh Vengeance here at Ballard the Bruins meeting Ryan station first time since 2014 these two teams have met and it was a nice crowd 14 seconds is how long it took for Ryan station to get on the board this is Demond green you know it used to be Damon Green back there but this is the Freshman picking it up making one man miss and then he is off to the crib he's bringing this one all the way back to Lexington that was an 84 yard Teddy there 6-0 lead Ballard responds later in the first quarter it's the senior Journey White's dashing 17 yards to the end zone he thought he got in there not quite out at the one so we got to call them the next play and made it in easily but this one stayed tight throughout but Brian's stationed with a big win 28-21 that's a big one they bounced back in a big way they're players in class 6A that's for sure all right stay in Louisville Jump Around Big Time week for him watching two of the top quarterbacks in the state takes Center Stage here you can't commit cutter bully for LCA taking on East Carolina commit Cole Hodge and Christian Academy of Louisville how it's leading a big play here down seven nothing in the second half goes to Justin Ruffin just pulls over a few tacklers turns on the burners oh nice little stutter step there too that's big time play I just had on the swivel that's a 7-6 game Ruffin had eight catches to 100 yards and two tidies Brady Hensley Workhorse say a former Fox 56 Sports student athlete of the week 28 carries 132 yards and a touchdown that was a big one to make it 14-6 Cal late score and an onside kick but could not take the lead a huge one for LCA 14-12 after losing the ball County they have had huge wins against Bowling Green and Now cal there the number one team in class 3A and they are rolling for sure you see the scores here Wayne County beats Madison Southern 19-14 the sales 45-6 over Lafayette and in other action tonight it was Lincoln County putting our hurting on Bourbon County 62-14 against the fighting Justin Logan another one for LCA real quick they also beat Pikeville the 1A state champ I mean they went one three and five that's pretty impressive a little bit of Vengeance from last season for sure so LCA on the right path when we come back we are going to continue home team Friday nights more action to get to it's your favorite show coming up after this time out [Music] from Fox 56 Sports you're watching home team Friday nights [Music] thank you [Music] all right we got on track at some point I need more juice from that but they got a huge win last week that was last week against Central the Rivalry one that is awesome for sure and props to Nicole for getting that Woodford student section we got to feature them on one of our bumps because they they got the flag like they were active I'm just active for sure let's go over to Henry Clays they hosted GRC tonight GRC leading 6-0 early on cameraman he gets pulled out a little bit that's what a good play action does for you but Rohan Taylor man he finds Walden Cole this is not a repeat this is another week they put Henry Clay up seven to six there but later in the first Henry Clay with the ball once again as Taylor rolls out and looks deep but it's picked off by Quentin Falls Who falls down immediately very nice drive Sam Clemens back to pass with GRC and it's picked off by Walden Cole man that guy was hoofing for Henry Clay is he attacks on a nice return as well next Drive Henry Clay looking to capitalize way yeah we're just gonna go back and forth we're just playing toss and catch here kamani John returns it to Midfield into the second quarter the defensive stop rice chess and I'm finally able to capitalize for GRC as he spins his way into the end zone here GRC goes up for good they win 48-27 it's tough I like Ryan Taylor too they're just kind of work in the communication hey Marissa County Danville how about the job Craig use has done at Mercer County looking for the school's first 4-0 starts since 2006. he did this one easily denim Griffin how about that name right Dana he's a legit Ball Carrier dudes fast couple dirty jerk Duke moves he's on his way to the end zone a name like denim you'd like to see it tough rugging gets another one right here to put the Titan's already out 33-nothing they get the running clock on another short run yeast obviously the Kentucky Legend he is coaching his butt off right now 4-0 they're a team in class 3A they went big 48-10 absolutely let's go on home opener for the Colts as West Jessamine fans excited for this season hosting Greene County here in this one within the first few minutes West Jess was rolling here you see it there was forced with the quick three and now the dragons responded with a touchdown by Kelsey McKinney you heard His Name all night green crowd County will quickly respond with a Blog Punt and recovered by Cole Kessler three plays later Houston Hodges Houston I think we have a problem the dragons get a 14-0 lead West Jets try to claw back but uh just to know Avail tonight and it's one nice touchdown Gabriel Smith the Titan Isaac Maynard Greene County wins 41-7 in this one tough one for East Jess tonight as well tough one for the county they lose close to North Pole at 21-18 Estill County good win over Bath County 43 to nothing in the Wiseman Memorial classic Corbin we talked about him earlier they are just absolutely rolling I mean they are gonna have a bone to pick but boy counting class 4A back at Kroger field probably 43-nothing and how about the matchup of these two mascots the Briar jumpers beat the golden Lions I love it Garrett County that's a good one but Somerset hey they're a good team too down there 48 is 21 the final they still County the engineers in the lab for sure down there fighting when we get back a lot of plays in the lab that we had to decide on tonight so we'll let you decide your plays of the week nominees coming up after this break from Fox 56 Sports you're watching home team Friday nights [Music] we're wrapping up here on home team Friday nights week four let's get to these three play of the week nominees this is sub number Uno Jackson was it rifles can I get a tip through Jackson Cruiser take a look in salomo here nice roll tonight very heady play how you feeling that one's gonna win because of this fan base too they're active online so these other fan base says you got to get on the website and vote play number two Moco in Paris Landon Scott to receive the punt oh you love to see it a lateral outfit Jakari Ransom and you know this kid's got speed he's one of the best players in class 1a I'm just gonna say it right now he is gonna be an all-stater hopefully and that's a touchdown for the Greyhounds how about play number three Justice Versa little shake and bait out the store right there does it himself gets gets a keeper gets past Warren Wilford County with another nice one tonight that's good go on a website fox56news.com we'll have a post there if you click the sports tab you'll be able to vote on
