we're going to take another look at the 2024 recruiting class and we're going to shine a spotlight on five star safety KJ Balden who signed with the Georgia Bulldogs he will be a freshman this year the 2024 recruits The Freshman as we start the college football season all this off season to get you ready for when these players start making plays for your team so know a little bit of something about them whether it's this year next year year after you know a little bit about your players we're talking about KJ bowling today if you're here for just a highlights fast forward a few minutes you'll get there he's the number one safety in the class for 247 Sports five-star Prospect 6' 187 that's dated though that's a little old so of course it's different 41 offers though the market was hot I got a scale if you want to use it it's not been tested but from looking at all these profiles about 20 offers or so is good about 30 or so offers are great pushing 40 more than 40 is Elite he's got Elite amount of offers and on top of that you want to look at the teams that are looking at him but when you're getting 40 offers you're getting Elite teams that go along with it up top here Georgia Alabama Arkansas and many others of course we got 10 76 100 time to his name running in 200s and 400s so we got speed and we got a gas tank that's really what that's telling me triple jump we got some bursts we're explosive that's what we're saying here impactful defensive back three-phase player projects as a deep safety who can erase mistakes he's an insurance policy he's got speed to burn we covered him in the winter time when there was snow in the ground and he's a fantastic player to watch stick for the highlights you're not going to miss out on anything I guarantee it's worth your time but we're with Georgia we're locked in Florida State try to get out him again top tier schools want of this dude top tier schools going over to on three here Auburn Alabama Florida State at the top here five star with everybody number one safety with everybody everybody's in lock step top 15 top 20 player however you want to look at that when you look at the overall rankings there and then going down here Alabama High State high State Stacks up DBS Alabama Stacks up DBS you know what he's a studly DB Clemson if we did not call that out earlier wanted him everybody wanted him and we're going to look at the highlights guaranteed you will be impressed almost 10 minutes 9 minutes and 4 seconds to be exact if you want actual numbers here we go we're starting it off let me know what you think in the comments below of course there he is we got the pick I see the burst quick turn with the legs already seeing good pop off the step there we go kick return reading the flow of everything around them very well very well now we're going to pull holding balance we're good we're good the legs are thick the legs are thick for his size for what his listed size that's one thing I'm noticing I don't know if I called that out last time that's so long ago I'll go over a prospect multiple times on the channel cuz I love doing this and I love learning about these players and going back over him you'll always find different stuff but he's very explosive got a lot of popping the step obviously from the numbers and then the tape shows it sometimes it doesn't show I covered a player recently it didn't show that well I wasn't being negative though they got a kick out the back end he's he's just explosive through and through he's explosive through and through and he's got some bottom thickness which is an indicator that he can jump out the building he's it's another indicator of explosiveness doesn't Skip Leg Day no sticks on him nice rock there getting low at the point of contact look at him go look at him go now let's pull away there it is there's the pull away didn't hit his top end didn't hit his top end back there good ball skills downfield of course A lot of these DBS they play wide receivers as well they play both sides of the ball when you're this good you're the whole team when you're this good you're the whole team they can't live without you so you got to play a lot nice grab down there in the corner so when you're looking at the wide receiver position and what you're trying to gain that for safety footwork on the brakes of course the speed there we go how he attacks the ball while it's in the air always around the ball always around the ball downfield had separation too I wish they'd Circle off on play since we're going offense to defense that'd be very helpful if you're a recruit watching me go over this circle off your play circle yourself off there we go nice stick I I can guess pretty quick but I don't want to have to guess I want to be able to take everything in instead of guess like there's a lot more I could be taken in you got some burst going over to the sideline look at him read momentum to cut it it back double stuff and if it's negative I I come back with three things positive that's the rule for me that's my life rule he's got pop the step he's explosive downfield downfield look got him go there we are there we are boy young stallion we're going to get the sidelines good Pursuit angle on the defense call out the defense when they do smart things they had a good Pursuit angle on him and he registered that it wasn't that he was too not fast enough to get away that was a good Pursuit angle where we at here where are we at here oh man downfield see Bri there he is downfield Boom all day long all day long you got that kind of speed at the high school level even I mean the stands are pretty good we're zoomed out looks like you're going up against Talent I'll just say that it's nothing like from better than what where I'm from definitely better than than where I'm from read that off the rip good hands by the by the sideline knowing the boundaries good body control what does body control tells us for DB that means when you're going up to get it when the ball's in the air when you're reading it off the wide receiver you see the hands go up you got good body control be in the right spot especially around the boundaries especially just in the air in general and he's dropping the hammer he can get low he can get low he's quick and he's versatile he's position versatile player so if they need to move him around something happens they got that in their back pocket that's always a good thing that's always a good thing he's assertive he's aggressive smart player all the players here at the top about top 50 or so 99% of them are smart players between the ears gets you there at that part and then also the physical stuff but the physical stuff won't get you to the top 50 alone in in a recruiting class it's what I'm noticing from over the years doing this he's solid though he's solid though ball coming out where's he at where's he at get there wrapping it up they said he was a good well I par paraphrased I said he was a good insurance policy off of what they said they're also meaning which I think they're mean also coming up playing the run because he's so quick he can take that deep third but also if that running back Breaks Loose he can come up and get it you gotta think like U the meanings of those scouts or writers when they say a sentence also think about the inverse and what else they could be touching with when they're talking about it because they're very brief they're very brief drops the hit there he's very physical he comes up and he's good on the like we didn't see too much of him at safety but we're seeing him around the ball we see the quicks he's got ball skills he's going to be nasty on the d3d this is a player you can't sleep on at all nobody is nobody is go fight win back there we're rolling out Ball's out there here we are oh we're up the field oh the block finishes them can't see the numbers all the time there we are frame wise good frame wise good on the top half too and we're going to add to that the bottom half good good speed there looking solid closing down the distance solid overall solid player overall smart player gets up there quick doesn't he gets up there quick see what he does here gets back in inside we're going to take her out aren't we Good Feet scoots past good balance good balance here's our last play he goes down this dude's got a lot of speed he's got a lot of burst good balance Good Feet good initial awareness as well you can tell he knows the game has a natural feel of the game reads everything around him you can play him on both sides of the ball invol need be you have that in your back pocket the top safety in the country right now for every recruiting sites every College one of them 41
