hello everybody and welcome back to the channel today we're talking about a new horor release called afraid afraid tells a story of a family who was chosen to test out a product a new AI called Ida now going into this this movie I knew it was PG-13 and I knew it was from blumhouse and blumhouse released Megan which is a very popular movie from 2023 and getting a sequel in the next year so with that kind of being said kind of went into this movie expecting something similar to Megan and definitely has kind of similarities but if I'm being honest I kind of prefer Megan so with that being said I don't really have any positives for this movie I don't think it was bad I just don't have any real positives for this movie I can say I like I think it was shot well but that's really the only positive I can give it I also want to say it also can quite cause discussion apparently and that's when I get we get into the message and spoiler section we'll talk about what I mean by that but going in I don't have any really big Pros for this movie I have a lot of mixed and the first mixed here I want to give it is the opening the opening this movie is one of the more unique openings I've seen this year it felt like really just a weird way to open a movie and I do see how the opening does contribute to later in the film but we'll talk about that but in a minute when we get to spoilers but the opening here was big mix for me I do think some people will find that bit interesting or actually liked it but for me the the opening was really big mixed I'm talking about like the first few minutes of the Blurred reality if that makes any sense so with that being said the opening and I also want to talk about the events and the message were also a big mix for me here I really felt that the message was kind of clear and kind of not clear at the same time because the message I got from this movie and the message that I went with my friend at the time my friend today completely different kind of different different views in the message when we left so I thought that was definitely an interesting conversation piece a surprising Conversation Piece to be honest but I definitely felt like this message was straight up in its way but I feel some bits were just too much but I do want to give Pros to things that does right I feel like some scenes where there's a guy trying to talking to his girl TR talking to the girlfriend in a sending those messages I feel like are very realistic don't only my experience but what you hear me and what I talk to people about I feel like that they did that kind of right I think they did the kind of experience at school right everyone's reactions right I want to say that I felt that was very realistic however I just feel like this message was hammered so hard into the movie it just took a lot from it sometimes I just at times it was a bit too much but with those kind of being the two bigger mixes of this movie I do like the performance from most of the cast I do think that having the mom be the one that was careful of it and kind of the exhaustion of just seeing that wear it down and how it wears her down was definitely kind of an interesting method I felt that kind of worked for me personally and I feel like the character of The Da is actually very smart in this movie and his reactions were kind of very appropriate and I definitely like that in the character where it's actually kind of appropriate so with all that really being said I want to go to my Nega the negative I want to give it is performances soy's performance I really felt was although kind of realistic to the text and that talking I just feel like I really didn't like his character in this movie and at times I felt like the young siblings were kind of not really it and I feel that and I have really pull more negative than a mixed to the kind of parents from the beginning kind of coming back in the way they do was kind of more negative for me I feel like that was a interesting thing to add but I feel like they could have gone a little bit little bit without that so with that kind of being the big ones I kind of want to talk into some spoilers and let's talk about the spoilers and message of this movie now the message I personally grab from this movie is if you let AI take over your all and you let Electronics Electronics control your life they can be a lot of negative outcomes for that now you can see this in many ways the family breakdown the post of the fake video of the teenage girl you can see that with the family and the daughter missing how this Ai and online was telling her do and how they acted that later and being swatted was talked about here I really feel like this movie was a social media can be bad if you let it control your life and the message that I went with my friend was complet different they got a different interpretation from this movie and it was definitely a conversation piece that we had in the car going leaving the theater so I definitely have that definitely feel like this movie will be a little bit of a conversation piece personally but overall I do want to say that I was pleasantly it surprised now this movie is not necessarily for me and I'll be completely honest and that saying the movie is not for me but I feel like this movie will be for some it's just not my audience and I definitely do feel like this movie's biggest weakness is just at some points really really beating the message into the movie and I honestly felt like they beat the message a little bit too hard in
