yo scoring guys it's Houston Sports Talk back into the video today and today the Houston Astros announced their 2020 well the whole MLB announced uh their 2024 the 2024 MLB schedule and you know of course the Astros were on that list of every team that was on you know the schedule and the Astros 2024 schedule was announced so um let's go over it um you know I kind of like how you know it's different with other sports you know with the NBA when the NBA next for the next season when the sched there's you know the schedule is announced uh it's when the NBA off-season is going on same thing with NFL the NFL their season the the schedule the schedule for NFL drops in April uh two seasons I mean I mean sorry two months after two months after the you know the season's over the NBA schedule drops and and like um like September or like August September something like that you know couple a couple months before the season starts so it's different I mean MLB schedule it announces when you know it's in the middle of the Season which I kind of like uh it's different you know as a other you know other leagues but let's go over the Astros 2024 schedule I'm gonna I might not go over the whole thing but um we'll see so all right let's go over it the first series is something that's really intriguing to me the first series is the New York Yankees and it's at home we'd love to see that number one uh the first thing that I gotta say is I love seeing the Astros open up this season at home that's one thing they got to do that last year and one of the reasons they got to that last year is you know because of you know being World Series champions which I think we would have that would have happened anyways even if you know or sorry as I say the last year but this year uh we got this year we opened up at home um against the White Sox and to get to do that again home opener first four game or actually the first seven games are at home this year um it's gonna be really fun I mean you got some I should have some nice series to start the season I really am looking forward to I mean there there's gonna be some really nice series to start you know March and April you have a four game series against the Yankees to start off the year you talk about that Yankees Astros rivalry um you got the Blue Jays next series first seven games at home not only that but yeah you're you know George Springer in town um and then you have a four game series uh against the Rangers you know the the um the Texas battle then the Royals that's not that's not too interesting that's on the road and then then you have the Rangers at home so you face with the Rangers um twice in the matter of what days and and then you have two World Series rematches after that Ranger series uh 2021 World Series rematch at home against the Braves and then a 2019 World Series rematch against the Nationals and then one of my favorite series of the season the Astros uh play series at the Cub with the Cubs this is the first time the Astros are going to be playing at Wrigley Field since 2013. so once this it's going to be 11 years since the Astros have played at that at that ballpark um when when they play this series uh then you got and you got a long road trip you have a seven is that eight game Road Trip um facing the facing the Rockies the Rockies Cubs and Nationals and then they go home for a little bit The Long home stand for the Astros actually a really long home stand because they they play the Guardians for a three-game series in May uh then the Mariners at home again um so it's just a two game series road trip and then and then the Yankees and then Yankees three game series on the road tigers Three game series on the road so you got the the Yankees rivalry again this time uh in New York and then facing former manager AJ hinch four game series against the Athletics then a weekend Series in May which is the 17th 18th and 19th against the Brewers and then the first time playing the Angels at home 20th 21st and 22nd of May uh then they have the off day that next Thursday on the 20th on the 23rd and then they have another weekend series against the A's which is a um three-game series then continue to play on the road playing a four game series against the Mariners and then have a weekend series that is at the end of May and overlaps to the start of June against the Twins then another Home Series against the Cardinals three-game series against the Angels three-game Series against the Giants and at one point they have a Mexico uh Mexico series a Mexico City series I don't know which series that is um I believe is it uh is it the Rockies yes it's the Rockies it's that first month it's so the the rocky series is a the rocky series on the 27th and 28th of of April uh will be in Mexico City so I mean that first month of schedule you have some really interesting matchups you have the Yankees at home you have you know playing playing Texas the Texas Rangers both on the road and at home World Series rematches um playing the Cubs at Wrigley field for the first time since 2013 and then a Mexico City series against the against the uh against the Colorado Rockies that first month of March and may I mean March and April Astros that's a really fun schedule to start off the year where was I was talking about the Giants then so then you got the Giants um in the middle of June 10th 11th and 12th uh 14th 15th and 16th is a weekend Series against the Tigers and back on the road against the White Sox or three game series then you play the Orioles for a three-game weekend series at home off day on a Monday then a two-game home Series against the Rockies then hopefully if he's still on the team a rematch against Justin via Justin Verlander on June 28th 29th and 30th and that's the last game of June and then they go on a uh they go on a seven game Road Trip to start off July um against 4am Series in Toronto play the fourth play July 4th on against uh the Blue Jays they know then a three-game series playing another former Astro Carlos Correa uh then if he's still on their team he might not be playing another former Astro Yuli curiel if he's still on their roster uh playing the Marlins uh July 9th 10th and 11th then playing the Texas Rangers for the first time since uh you know the the openings to start this to start the season playing them for the first time that is at home for a weekend series on the 12th 13th and 14th then you have the All-Star break which is the All-State All-Star break is from the 15th through the 18th and then you're back at it on the road for six games against the Mariners for three um and then the Athletics for through for another three then the 2017 World Series match up to um kind of finish off the month of July uh weekend series against the Dodgers on the 26th the 27th and the 28th and then a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates to officially finish the month off of July uh so you play the Pirates of three game series on the 29th 30th and 31st then all I guess do you have a three game Home Series against the Tampa Bay Rays on the second third and fourth of August play the Rangers again on the road Fifth Sixth and 7th of August on the road then play the Red Sox for the first time on a three-game series on the 9th 10th and 11th then play the Tampa Rays for the second time of the month on the road for the 12th 13th and 14th have an off day on the 15th a 16th uh a sorry a weekend Series against the after a long road trip to it you had a they were on the road after they would be on the road from the 4th to the 16th so 12-day road trip uh they are back at home on the 16th 17th and 18th for a weekend series against the White Sox then they play the Red Sox for the second time of the month uh playing the Red Sox at home on the 19th 20th and 21st then play the Orioles on Thursday Friday four game series on on the 22nd 23rd 24th and 25th then the 2022 World Series rematch against the Philadelphia Phillies this time in Philly this year when they played each other it was in Houston so we get to hear it from Philly fans this year after you know that Amazing World Series then back at home for the Royals on the 29th 30th and 31st and that's the the last series of August of course as the 31st and then oh no it doesn't that it's a four game series um so it overlaps to September so it's that series ends starts in August but it ends in September is that you start off September with the series finale against the Royals um then a weird serious format here uh they they have a three game series against the Reds but it has its get what it is scheduled to be is the opening Series to be on Monday of September 2nd then an off day September 3rd then um September 4th is playing the Reds and then the fifth so second this September 2nd is the opening Series then off day the third then second game of the series fourth and then fifth is the third game of the series then they play the Diamondbacks at home uh for a weekend series on the sixth seventh and 8th of September and then off day on the ninth then a three-game series against the Athletics then a three-game series on the road against Los Angeles then play the Padres for the first time well first time in a while I believe um I said I think this would be the first time since 2021 they played the Padres on the 18th sorry the 16th 17th and 18th then a four game series against the angels on the uh that's a weekend series the 19th 20th 21st and 22nd then another the the last the last home series of the 2024 season is the 23rd 24th and 25th against the Mariners and then the last series of the season is in Cleveland against the Cleveland Guardians on uh Friday Saturday and Sunday 27th 28th and 29th of uh September so that that finishes for the 2024 schedule for the Houston Astros I mean I really like our schedule um who knows what the team will look like next year I mean I don't think it'll look much different but um maybe hopefully it'll be even better than it is right now especially if they can get a little bit healthier next year but um I mean there's some really fun dates that it's looking like to be for next year's season openoff the season against the New York Yankees playing at Wrigley field for the first time since 2013. Mexico City series against the Rockies um you're in the first couple series of the season you're playing the Rangers twice it's going to be a really really fun season next year and I love how you know we get to talk about you know this 2024 schedule while the 2023 season is still going on use any thoughts on the 2024 schedule for the Houston Astros that's it for the video hope you guys enjoyed and peace out
