Democrats Plan To Invoke 14th Amendment If Trump Wins

we will use the 14th Amendment to prevent Donald Trump from taking office so says Democratic Congressman Jamie Rasin in a recently Unearthed video from February Democrat representative Jamie Raskin is claiming Democrats in Congress are ready to quote disqualify Trump if he wins the keys to the White House come November by invoking SE three of the 14th Amendment take a listen to the audio yourself again it's necessary but it's not sufficient because what can be put into the Constitution can slip away from you very quickly and the greatest example going on right now before our very eyes is section three of the 14th Amendment which they're just disappearing with the magic wand as if it doesn't exist even though it could not be clearer what it's stating and so you know they want to kick it to Congress so it's going to be up to us on January 6 2025 to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he's disqualified and then we need bodyguards for everybody in Civil War conditions all because the nine justices not all of them but these justices who have um not many cases to look at every year not that much work to do a huge staff great protection simply do not want to do their job and interpret what the great 14th Amendment means and I'm glad that sherin's creating her new center so we can bring that let let's talk about what the great 14th Amendment actually means Jamie here is what section three of the 14th Amendment actually States okay let's start there it says and I quote no person shall be a senator or representative in Congress or elector of president and vice president or hold any office civil or military under the United States or under any state who having previously taken an oath as a member of Congress or as an officer of the United States or as a member of any state legislature or as an executive or judicial officer of any state to support the Constitution of the United States shall have engaged in Insurrection or Rebellion against the same or given Aid or Comfort to the enemies thereof but Congress May by a vote of two-thirds of each house remove such disability okay we've already seen this play in the Democratic Playbook remember a number of states tried to remove Donald Trump from the ballot by using section three of the 14th Amendment States like uh Pennsylvania California Colorado Maine just to name a few the reason it didn't fly the first time uh with all of these states is because Donald Trump was never indicted or charged with Insurrection he's been charged with other things but not Insurrection there's no evidence of insurrection so people like Jamie and so many other democrats for that matter are just making accusations of insurrection there is no evidence telling people to peacefully march on Capitol Hill on back in January of 2021 does not an Insurrection make even the US Supreme Court said as much which as you just heard Jamie raskins saying that sound bite clearly Ruffles his feather he says the justices quote simply do not want to do their job and interpret what the great 14th Amendment means which they're just disappearing with a magic wand as if it doesn't exist and so they want to kick it to Congress so it's going to be up to us on January 6 2025 to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he's disqualified those are his words not mine if we were think about this if we were to allow the sheer accusation of trump or I mean anyone for that matter engaging an Insurrection stand if we were allowing that to stand the rule of law of innocent until proven guilty would hold no merit I mean our I shudder our justice system would just collapse so here we go again if Democrats try using the 14th Amendment and continue to blame scotus Rasin himself is predicting Civil War conditions will ensue and everyone in Congress would need a bodyguard so tell me Jamie if I was a reporter in that room if I was even just just sitting there in that room with him I would have said tell me Jamie how do you plan on implementing the 14th do you plan on using the United States military against We the People American citizens is that what you plan on doing bud here's a different idea Jamie when Trump takes back the White House take the same advice Democrats tried to give to all of us Republicans accept the loss and move on what was it you said during the January 6 Select Committee hearing oh yeah quote let's all hang tough for American democracy podcast by Federated media
