you about the Dana Bash interview on CNN all right and I want to talk about the interview that she conducted me personally not impressed not impressed at all I thought the questions were somewhat stupid you have the opportunity the first interview with kamla Harris and Tim wals and this is what this is what she did these were the questions let's watch some of the clips so I want to start with the first one Dana Bash asking kamla Harris what she would do on day one in the white house let's go to that clip and you'll get my reaction you have less time to make your case to voters than any candidate in modern American history the voters are really eager to hear what your plans are if you are elected what would you do on day one in the white house well there are a number of things I will tell you first and foremost one of my highest priorities is to do what we can to support and strengthen the middle class um when I look at the aspir irations the goals the Ambitions of the American people I think that um people are ready for a new way forward um in a way that generations of Americans have been fueled by by hope and by optimism I think sadly in the last decade um we have had in the former president someone who has really been pushing an agenda and an environment is about diminishing um the character and the strength of who we are as Americans uh really dividing our nation and I think people are ready to turn the page on that yeah again it's a question that there really is no answer to what are you going to do on day one well how about I'm gonna I'm going to set up my Administration I'm going to ensure that we start to put forward as common said we're going to start to put forward things that will unite us it's going to help the middle class and so on and so forth It's one of these sort of questions that there's really no answer there's really no answer to I what are you gonna do I let me just give you the converse you know what Donald Trump said he was going to do on day number one he was going to rewrite the Constitution he was going to destroy our tripartite system of government he was going to use SEAL Team Six and other military branches to start rounding up political critics enemies uh migrants immigrants placing them into internment camps placing them into prisons or public executions now again it's just a question that really doesn't how about just get specific you know what do you you know can you name one thing that you're going to try to do and who could do anything on D number one yeah I'm going to finish I'm going to fix my entire four years four years as the presidency on day number one it's just a dumb ass question all right let me just go on and react to the next clip which is when she's asking um comma about drug prices let's go to that clip and you'll get and I want you to pay attention to the clip and I want you to understand why I am feeling the way that I am that these questions are just so stupid let's go to let's go to the clip and you'll get my reaction Donald Trump said he was going to do a number of things including allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices never happened we did it right right why not come out and say why not come out and say with a direct question instead of trying to be trying to be clever why not just turn and say your Administration has done some insane insane things so far regarding drug prices and then reference the fact that the Trump Administration never got any of that done whether it's reduction the low on the price of insulin whether it's the overall reduction in the negotiation for Medicare with drug costs and so on in this country in this country we pay more for drugs than any other country it's why you see so many people going to Canada to pick up drugs over there The Identical drug made by the same drug manufacturer for 12th the price why not come out and say why not come out and then just say that instead of being sort of a pretend antagonist all right look then it gets even better all right Dana Bash then asks her about Trump's racist comments let's go to that clip and you'll get my reaction um I was a little bit surprised people might be surprised to hear that you have never interacted with him met him face to face that's going to change soon but what I want to ask you about is what he said last month he suggested that you happened to turn black recently for political purposes questioning a core part of your identity yeah any same old tired Playbook next question please that's it that's it okay um let's talk about what do you mean that's it what do you want her to say seriously you're surprised Dana let me tell you when I heard that what I was I was appalled I was appalled all of a sudden now he's he's leaning back into the whole birtherism he's now turning around well she's not black what's he trying to do to separate her away from a community is that what it is to turn around to say to the black community well you don't you shouldn't be even thinking about voting for her because she's a woman or you shouldn't be thinking about voting for it because she's black she's not black right that she's only using it for political purposes don't you think there was a better way for Dana Bash to have asked that question how about coming out and saying Miss vice president the other day Donald Trump made an absolutely appalling grotesque racist comment stating that you were not black that you never identified as black you identified as Indian and one day one day you woke up and whoop all of a sudden Zar Zar you know pulled out a card and you turned black really any comments for Donald Trump on something like that like that would have been an answer I would have like to have heard not this not this sort of again it's sort of I was surprised surprised I'll tell you what Dana I was a little surprised at your questioning then again as the interview went on Tim wals was there as well so Dana then turns to Tim wals and asks him about the recent attacks on his family and his character let's go to that clip and you'll get my reaction if it's not this it's an attack on my children for showing love for me or it's an attack on my dog uh I'm not going to do that and the one thing I'll never do is I'll never demean another member's service in any way I never have uh and I never will what is she what is she asking him there what's she asking who is g to sit back and allow another person to degrade you how often do we hear Donald Trump now and Shady Vance turn around and questioning questioning Tim walz's service that's called stolen valor the man the man wore the uniform for 24 years that's not a negotiable that's not a negotiable question that's a fact why not pose the question Mr wals let me ask you this what was your role in terms of the military in the United States how many years have you been in the military you know um what was your highest ranking what would you say to Donald Trump and Tim Walls when they talk about Stolen Valor meaning that you were not in the military you have any documents that maybe you want to show these two idiots that you did serve and again we are talking about a man who had four or five defer based upon fake bone spurs all right that's who we're talking about here but again it's sort of like this question it's you know you had Dana an opportunity the first interview why they gave to I don't know but you had the first opportunity within which to ask them poignant direct straightforward questions and after the interview was over I felt so unfulfilled but I wanted finish it by going to this they were talking about what Walt said about his family let's go to that clip and you'll get my final reaction Governor uh a moment that you shared that the world shared with your son Gus you were speaking the camera caught him so incredibly proud of you so emotional saying that's my dad yeah I uh I don't know as a father I could have ever imagined that I grateful for so many reasons to be on this ticket but that moment um to understand what was really important to to have my son uh feel a sense of pride in me that I was trying to do the right thing and uh it was um you you try and protect your kids you know it brings it brings notoriety in things but it was just such a uh a visceral emotional moment that I'm I'm just I'm grateful I got to experience it and I'm uh I'm so proud of him I'm proud of him I'm proud of hope I'm proud of Gwen she's a Wonder F mother and these are great kids and I think the one thing is talking about the era we're in is our politics can be better it can be different we can we can show some of these things and we can have families involved in this and I I hope that there was a I hope people felt that out there and I hope they hugg their kids a little tighter because you just never know and life can be kind of hard see I tell you I know every single person that I spoke to about that moment all welded up what a beautiful thing but that's that upset Trump and Shady Vance why because they don't have that type of a relationship with their children they don't and I have been around Donald for a long enough time to tell you emphatically he doesn't have a relationship like that with any of his five kids and so it bothered him so what did they do they start to attack this young boy Gus making all sorts of statements about him that's what that's what Dana Bash was trying to pull out but good for Tim good for governor wals in standing up and saying maybe we should just all hug our kids a little tighter maybe Donald should take a lesson out of the Walls family Playbook all right in terms of showing some emotion and having emotion shown about you as a father again disappointing interview there was so much more that I would have been asking there's so many more important things because one of the first things that Dana tried to do at the very beginning was to question well you know there's not really a lot of time and how are people going to get to know you let me tell you what people know Donald Trump is insane Donald Trump is a narcissistic sociopath who's a racist sexist who's misogynistic and xenophobic and homophobic and transphobic and islamophobic and anti-semitic so if you think for a quick second that any of these ridiculous interviews where they don't ask poignant questions that we the American people are interested in learning about kamla Harris and about Governor wals you'd be wrong Dana and CNN I thought had a great opportunity to do much better but we we we're the ones that have to get to The Ballot Box we're the ones that have to vote and there is no question based upon the two different groups Harris woles or Von schitz and pants and Shady Vance there is no question who you need to vote and you need to vote for Harris walls in 2024 hey everyone first of all thanks for watching I mean we're going to be posting daily episodes with
