Intro [Music] what's up Dolphins fans I'm Nick rolloff this is dolphins today and on today's show we are going to break down five surprise cut candidates that I could see unfortunately leaving this Miami Dolphins roster um as we go out through the off season there's going to be a lot of changes made to this team through signings through Cuts I want to take a stab at Five Guys who I think could all right the first cut Mike White candidate is Mike White the backup quarterback for the Miami Dolphins and listen I'm not going to go too crazy on today's video and say there's going to be a bunch of dudes that are going to get cut because that's just simply not going to be the case but I do believe Mike White who is probably the qb2 for Miami right now could be someone on the outs one you have Skyler Thompson there who's been with the team for a couple years now and then Gavin Hardison the udfa out of utap if he plays better than expected in the preseason maybe Chris Greer in Miami thinks well we don't really need to both white and Skyler Thompson and specifically with Mike White and the reason why I think he could get cut is because the money he could save you and yes it's not the craziest amount in the world but $3.5 million would be saved if he is cut post June 1st and that is not nothing for a team that is only $3 million under the cap right now they will obviously get 18 once xaven Howard's money comes off the book post June 1 as well but to me there are just better ways you can spend $3.5 billion than Mike White as a backup quarterback I truly do believe they can use that money to go out and get a Kus Campbell a Dalton Ryner on the super super cheap because they're old they're vet and it would be a vet men so I truly believe you take the 3.5 mil for Mike White you with Skyler Thompson as the backup quarterback or go out and get someone else with that money as well I just don't think Mike White's that good man we saw that last season Jeff Wilson Jeff Wilson Jr the running back is another cut candidate and this one really isn't much of a surprise for me I just think he's completely gone and no shame on Jeff he's just getting up there in age and when you draft Jaylen right in round four pick one 120 and send a future third round pick to get that 120th overall selection and then you take Jaylen right that to me tells you you're done with Jeff Wilson because you're going to have Raheem moer you're going to have Devon hn and then Jaylen Wright slots in at rb3 how many running backs do you really plan on keeping I can't imagine it would be that much and I think you keep Brooks and ammed for special teams purposes you have inold and even then that's six guys I would doubt if they run more than five so Jeff Wilson Jr to me is on the outs and you go look the money aspect of it I mean you're saving $2.4 million if you cut Jeff Wilson post June 1st and like I said with Mike White it's not a ton of money but it's not nothing it will help you sign some of these draft picks as well and just give you more overall flexibility so Jeff Wilson appreciate what you've done in Miami but I do think you are off the roster come September you guys can disagree with me though or agree name one player that the Dolphins should cut I mean it's tux to talk about cut cutting guys cuz it's like we're calling for people's jobs but it is a business and we have to break it down so give me a name down below number three River Craycraft the River Cracraft wide receiver for Miami one of the rare guys on this roster that is actually above 6 feet at that wide receiver position but when you think about this wide receiver room currently it's just already crowded you have Tyreek Hill you have Jaylen wad Braxton barriel will be a special teams guy plus a slot dude Malik Washington was picked in the sixth round who I'm very bullish on and those are your four guys and to me it's like how deep do you really take this wide receiver room if you go six that's probably the most likely and if you do I don't know if river raycraft is going to be a guy who can win that role 2023 did some nice things nine catches over 100 yards and a touchdown but nothing that really stands out from you for Craycraft so I kind of did the liberty of doing this I did four guys that I think are an absolute lock to be on the roster in the wide receiver room come in September and I think it's these four guys I just mentioned a second ago Tyreek Jaylen Braxton and Malik so to me who gets the final two spots could it be e e could it be Taj Washington who was picked in round seven could it be um River Craycraft I think it's possible but if you had to give me a prediction right now and put a gun to my head on who I think the six wide receivers on this roster would be it' be the four I mentioned I think Taj Washington gets the fifth and then EAS gets the six because of his size on the outside I'll tell you this though if the Dolphins do make a roster move in terms of cutting someone signing someone we will have you covered so stay locked in with everything surrounding the Miami Dolphins subscribe to the channel we're on the road to 57k sub subscribers so help us out number four Channing Tindall Channing Tindall the former third round pick from 20122 and he just has underwhelmed and that might be putting it nicely for Miami ever since being selected in the top two days of the NFL draft and I just think he's buried man you have David long you have Jordan Brooks Anthony Walker Jr it's interesting to see who would be that fourth guy between him and Riley Duke but he he's buried on this depth chart behind at least the top three and because of how little he has been in terms of his productivity for Miami I'd think it might be time for Chris Greer just to cut bait and move on from Tindall he gave you absolutely nothing in 2023 only eight tackles and you see the rest of the stats nothing pretty so I think the former Georgia Bulldog could be on the outs for Miami not going to save you the biggest amount of money in the world but it listen you got to cut down from 90 to 53 and I think Tindall could be one of those guys we do have the rookies picked in the fifth round who's an absolute steal though I just truly believe that maybe they go to a six guy but these five are an absolute lock to be your top five Edge guys and good who is not really produced for Miami ever since joining this Dolphins roster a couple seasons ago could be on the outside looking in and that's kind of why I think he's going to be out he can make a roster spot I'm not going to say it's completely jover for Cameron good but he'll have a long way to go all right before we H out of here I want to know who's a real one and who's not if you made it to the end of
