Commanders Week 1 Depth Chart Reaction and Breakdown. Luke McCaffrey WR2?

yo what's up guys it's King Sean here and the commanders just released their week one death chart ahead of the Buccaneers game on Sunday so in today's video I will be reacting to it and breaking it and with that out of the way let's get straight into the video all right so this is the death chart ahead of the week one game we're going to start on offense first obviously quarterback Jayden Daniels are qb1 um you know we announced him has a qb1 what like one or two weeks ago so he's our qb1 no surprises there hopefully we don't see Marcus Mariota on the field at any point of the season I mean unless jayen suffers an injury knock on wood uh but hopefully you know jayen plays the entire season and then at offensive line obviously your starters right tackle Andrew Wy Right Guard Sam cosmi your centers Tyler votes Nick Al's your left guard and then Brandon col is your left tackle which isn't a huge surprise part of me thought that you know Cornelius Lucas might get the starting leftt tackle job week one because you know they may not think Brandon Coleman's Ready or Not that he's not ready yet but because you know he just didn't play any snaps in the preseason so we just didn't get to see what he can truly be as a starting left tackle um for this football team so I don't mind putting Brandon Coleman out there you know he's going to make his mistakes um he's going to have some mistakes week one and early on the season but as long as he you know continues to get better throughout the season develops throughout the season then he could you know potentially beat our starting left tackle of the future but we shall see it would really be insane if we got our you know fut franchise quarterback and starting left tackle starting franchise left tackle in the same draft that would be insane Adam Peters would be a legend for that um and then tight end no surprises here Zack s your tight end one John Bas tight end two Ben s tight end three and Colson Yanke also your tight end four um with Ben s tight end three I wouldn't you know look too much into that um you could say he's really tight end too but John Bates he is a really good blocking tight end he is one of probably the best blocking tight ends in the NFL so you know that's kind of why we have him at tight end too Ben it will overtake him uh maybe not I don't think it's going to take you know Benson at long for um him to overtake John Bates as the tit end two on this roster and then maybe some point in the season he know overtakes Zack Z as a tight end one but we shall see so I wouldn't look too much into that and then running back Brian Robinson obviously your running back one Austin e CLE your running back too but they're really just going to be a straightup Duo you know um obviously if we're like passing the ball we might want to put ekar in or B they can both catch the ball which is really the great part about having both of those backs they can both catch the ball B Rob displayed it last week and then obviously Austin e not last week sorry he displayed it last year and then obviously Austin Eckler he's displayed it over the entire or his entire career so yeah they can both catch the ball really well and run the ball really well and then you have McNichols as your running back three so no surprises there and then finally wide receiver this is where it kind of gets interesting obviously Terry is your wide receiver one but then you have L mcaffry across from him and then Olam zi at the slot I'm pretty sure before the Jets game which is when our first unofficial death chart came out we had Terry McClaren and Deion Bros are outside receivers and alamin zakus in the slot this time we have you know Terry as your outside lamin zius in the slot but then on the opposite side of Terry you have L mff which is really interesting um I wouldn't pay too much attention to this because you know Cliff Kingsbury's offense is a RAID now we're not going to be airing the ball out every single play obviously he's going to mix the running game in there too he's going to have a good balance between the pass and running game but you know Air Raid Offense going to use a lot of four receiver sets maybe five but probably four receiver sets a lot so you know I wouldn't pay too much into that and we're not trying to show anything all right we're not trying to show our hand Cliff Kingsbury he's trying to not show nothing right now even in the preseason you know when people getting mad at him um for you know calling mainly screen passes and short passes he is not trying to show anything he even admitted in his press conference I think last week or two weeks ago that he's not trying to show a lot he hasn't showed a lot in the preseason and that's the point it's the preseason you want to keep your offense very vanilla you don't want people or other teams guessing you know what you're going to run come the regular season so you know it makes sense as to why his offense has been very vanilla so far um but yeah back to L mcaffry it is nice to see him starting um you know I think he's going to get a lot of usage um as the season goes on but don't be surprised if we do have deomi brown out there you know first drive first play of the game uh he's across from Terry as our wide receiver to but I feel like we might run sort of like wide receiver to by committee uh but we shall see so that is it for the offensive side of the ball moving on to the defensive side of the ball there aren't really any shocks here your starting defensive line dorren Armstrong Cleveland Fair are your two starting defensive ends and then donon Payne and Jonathan Allen are your two starting defensive tackles with Mattis and Newton as your backups um Newton I think he's going to play this week if not this week then definitely next week they might want to hold him out for one more week just to you know be cautious make sure that you know he's 100% ready to go and if we do hold him out this week I don't mind I know it's going to rain down there in Tampa Bay uh but I mean it's you know we're going to get bad games with you know bad conditions uh so in my opinion that shouldn't maybe really hold him out uh but you know if he's not ready to go then just you know hold him out this week and then play him next week our starting linebackers you have Bobby Wagner and Frankie louville obviously with Macau Walker and domini campon as your backups Jordan McGee is on the IR right now so there's no surprises there and then your starting cornerbacks Mikey sand still is obviously your slot cornerback think he's going to be one of if not the best slot quarterback in the NFL in a year or two and then Emanuel Forbes and Benjamin St juice are a starting outside cornerbacks um Emanuel for you can say is a bit of a surprise you know um in our first preseason game or before our first preseason game on the death chart that released then uh we had Michael Davis listed as our starting outside quarterback alongside uh Benjamin St juice so we kept Benjamin St juice as one of our starting outside quarterbacks but Michael Davis is being replaced by Emanuel Forbes so I'm happy for Forbes you know he won you know one of the starting outside corner jobs hopefully he can have a better season I think he will have a better season because like I said in yesterday's video he was one of if not the worst starting quarterback in the NFL last year so you know he only can get better like he literally can only get better and I think he will be better the question is how much better we shall see but I am happy for for so hopefully him and Benjamin St juice can improve this season uh but we got to see and if not they're gone all right if they have you know another Bad season bad years then they're just off this roster next year um and we go from there and then obviously you're starting safeties are Jeremy chin and Quan Martin Jeremy chin is your strong safety and then Quan Martin is your free safety and then lastly special teams no surprises here puncher trese kicker Kade York and then your long Snappers Tyler a and then for kick returner punt returner no surprises your punt returner is Jameson Crowder and then your kick returner is Byron Pringle so that is it for the death chart there's really no big surprises here besides you could say wide receiver and then cornerback but quarterback's not a big surprise with me more so wide receiver you know did not expect Luma caffry to be wide receiver too um but you know that might change come game day but
