AI features still Missing so during Apple's glow Time Event they showcase a bunch of new Apple intelligence features like the visual intelligence like using the capture button being able to use apple intelligence to find stuff within your phone things of that nature but I wanted to make this video to kind of set the expectation of what people are going to get on day one when they do receive their new iPhone 16s or 16 Pros with 18.0 because when it does come out September 20th and you receive it in your hand you might not be getting any of those AI features quite yet so let's talk about it in this video let's get into [Music] it so again real quick to talk about the AI Supported Devices supported devices that are going to be getting Apple intelligence you're looking at the iPhone 15 pro and pro Max and then all the new iPhone 16 lineup of phones if you have any other iPhone aside from those iPhones you will not be getting Apple intelligence and then secondly for the iPads and Macs of the world any mowed iPad or Mac will be getting Apple intelligence so just take that into consideration when you are Features Included with iOS 18.1 looking to purchase a new Apple device and now with the 18.0 update unfortunately there will be no apple intelligence features whether or not you have the 16 Pro Max when you order your iPhone you get it September it will be pre-installed with 18.0 more than likely and that will not have any of the Apple intelligence features that we're going to mention in this video but we are on 18.1 on the beta front and there are some apple intelligence features that are already being showcased in 18.1 that can be used right away some of the things to take into consideration is that you will be getting the new Siri animation and that's already live with 18.1 you do have the new cleanup feature which is object removal tool inside the photos application to remove things that you don't want in a certain photo you do have all the nice writing tools which helps you summarize and proof read and kind of change formatting of different text you have whether it's in your notes or in the email that's all Native to the OS so no matter what application you're in those writing tools if your keyboard shows up then you're able to use those writing tools you also have things like memory generation where it makes a movie based on a little bit of a prompt that you put inside the photos application which in my opinion is one of my favorite ones and maybe if you have photos of families and loved ones they the want to make a movie and from an old trip I think it's an awesome new feature then you have the summarization in your notifications which came with 18.1 and again we're still in 18.1 Beta And when you're watching this video 18.1 should be coming out at the end of October but this is how it currently is as of the Apple glow time event with 18.1 beta but like I said you do get the summarized notifications so if you get an abundance of notifications from iMessage or any thirdparty applications it'll summarize it in one or two sentences as opposed to giving you an array of a million different notifications and you're also able to summarize web pages and Safari similar to how you're using your writing tools or your smart summaries and the overall series just a little bit smarter from a contextual standpoint they're able to understand what we're saying a little bit smarter it kind of goes into applications one step further than the previous Series so that's all nice with 18.1 which was talked about a little bit during glow time but that is what you're going to get with 18.1 which comes out in October but now there's a ton of Features Missing other features that Apple did bring up that are still not going to see the light of day with 18.1 it won't be coming out probably until 18.2 or later and maybe even into 2025 Apple showcase this awesome new visual intelligence feature that takes advantage of the new capture button so you're able to tap into the capture button and it looks very similar to something like Google Lens where you point it at something and it'll try to look up what that is whether it is a bicycle that you're trying to buy or maybe an event poster to get all the the times and dates of that poster and put it into your calendar all that will not be available with 18.1 on any iPhone and that's going to be coming at a later date and it kept saying in the fall so let's see exactly when that comes out some other features that they kept talking about were things like image playgrounds and gen Emoji so being able to generate an actual custom emoji based on a prompt that you give inside of iMessage that will not be available 18.1 image playgrounds is the same thing you develop a prompt and then it creates some sort of image based on the prompt that you give it in different kind of genres and form factors also a feature that's not going to be available unfortunately until probably 18.2 or later another big one is going to be contextual rules inside of the Native applications and inside of your entire OS so being able to just go into Siri and then asking it to look up an old photo in your messages app from maybe 5 years ago or maybe seeing what somebody sent you from a song perspective inside of iMessage it will not be able to find that it will not be able to look that up quite yet and it won't maybe bring you to a Spotify link that was sent maybe months ago so that's something to take into consideration where all these features that are being promised and showcased that look really cool and really useful unfortunately just won't be ready and who knows when they're actually going to be ready because apple is giving very broad dates and timelines another big one that's currently omitted and is missing out of the 18.1 update with apple intelligence is going to be that chat gbt integration as of right now Apple's been telling us that everything's going to be done on device and for those situations where maybe it does have to go into the internet and go to figure out exactly what's going on from a more of a timetable standpoint it's going to reach out to chat gbt and every single time it reaches out there it will ask for your permission to do so and it will not just go to chat gbt without your permission but un unfortunately as of right now even in the 18.1 beta chat GPT that integration is not available and who knows when that's going to be coming out very similar to those other features that I've been talking about earlier in this video so again Apple intelligence right ChatGPT Integrations now is a little bit kind of broken it's very segmented Apple in my opinion hasn't given us a good direction on what to expect when to expect it the fact that unfortunately the iPhone 15 and 15 plus are just not capable of using it because of the ram situation that's in those phones even though they're less than a year old at this point is a little bit unfortunate but let's see exactly what ends up doing because from the demos that they've been showing at WWDC and now at glow time it looks very useful and it looks like something that most people could have a net positive effect on being able to look things up immediately creating memories you know playing with J emojis the chat GPT integration I think that visual intelligence is something that's that's going to be used a ton I'm definitely going to be using something like that so it remains yet to be seen exactly when that all is going to be released but definitely say subscribe because we will let you guys know exactly when it does get released but that'll do it for this Final THoughts video everybody as you saw there are a decent amount of Apple intelligence features already rolling out with 18.1 and I keep reiterating it's 18.1 that's going to be releasing probably at the end of October that gets you all these features 18.0 will have zero
