Unfortunate, you know, areas like Austin like San Antonio, the soil is a little bit different so it doesn't soak up water as efficiently and it's really hilly there too. So that kind of compacts water in some spots. So we see that type of flooding. Luckily, our rain was much lighter, uh and it is much lighter this morning as well. I am starting off with the large view though across the entire state because if you are commuting today to maybe a different city, uh something you need to know is that rain will continue for areas like Houston areas like Austin, San Antonio would get a little bit of that rain, although it is drying out, a bulk of that rain is really scattered across North Texas now and we'll continue to see a few pockets of slightly heavier rainfall and I'm seeing it right now in Arlington and in Grand Prairie. Although nothing like what we saw in San Antonio yesterday morning, we're also seeing some of that scattered rain continue for Tarrant county wise county, still looking at some moderate to heavy rainfall, especially on the northern half of it. For the most part, we're just looking at light scattered rain and that'll continue even through Johnson County towards Meridian Hill County as well. Otherwise expect the rain the next several hours. We're expecting this to mainly dry out as we head into the afternoon. The rain will thin out between about nine and noon. So I'm showing you this in the afternoon. Now, we could even see some of that cloud cover clearing and with that cloud cover, clearing some sunshine and temperatures that are slightly warmer than yesterday, we could pick up anywhere between a trace to 1/10 of an inch. It's not a lot, but it's a little extra something. The higher totals will be along our western counties where rain does pick up a little bit in intensity this morning because of the sunshine today. By the way, I'm thinking our temperature makes it to 86 degrees in Dallas, 85 in Fort Worth yesterday, the high was 81 and that happened in the morning. Generally staying in the seventies this af uh during the afternoon, yesterday won't be the case this time around as our rain dries out the next couple of days, our temperatures go up to the nineties. But look at what happens on Friday. We have this front that comes, that front does not bring in any rain, but it does bring in drier air so that drier air is going to sink behind it. And we'll eventually see this sinking in across the rest of the region and that's going to really help us out, especially when it comes to Sunday, Sunday morning. It'll be in the sixties and really feeling like fall and just to get you extra excited about it. Here's a look at that forecast. 88 Saturday, 87 on Sunday. But look at Sunday morning, I'm calling that the best morning in the next week or so cool and crisp as that humidity starts to creep out of the area. We'll have to wait a couple of days still though. We'll be dealing with the rain this morning. A little bit of rain tomorrow afternoon along our eastern counties highs in the nineties. But then this weekend looking absolutely stunning. Let's go.
