and today's video is another True Crime episode so if you're ready let's go all right y'all so y'all are the cutest y'all are the best I absolutely love y'all because when I said that don't nobody be asking me no questions a couple of y'all came through and asked me a whole a lot of questions so yeah thank y'all for that that was that was dope I didn't expect that so yeah keep them coming keep them coming but yeah today we just jumping straight into the case and yeah let's go so rosn Ross was born on January 17th in 1980 and unfortunately not much is known about her childhood and growing up but she was born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin and she went to Milwaukee Tech High School which is now Bradley Tech High School where she was a standout basketball player Ros also played basketball at a local Rec Center where she met a young lady named Malika Willoughby who was 14 years old at the time now I mention that because rosin is 3 years older than her and that kind of comes into play anyways Malika 2 is a rising basketball star and from the moment RZ and Malika met the two of them was stuck like glue the two of them started hanging out more started being around each other 24/7 going over each other's houses and soon enough they both ended up realizing that they liked each other a little more than just friends but they weren't necessarily willing and or ready to tell their resped families that because this is 1997 and being gay just wasn't as accepted as it is today and even today people still be bugging but that's neither here nor there both of them feared that coming out to their families wouldn't be accepted by them and unfortunately at least I know for a fact that RZ was correct in her assessment because when Roz's dad found out that she and Malika were a little bit more than friends he told her that Malika could not come over to his house anymore and that if Malika came back or if that he found out that Malika was still hanging around or that RZ was still hanging around Malika RZ would have to get out and needless to say um Malika was caught back at the house and R's dad stayed true to his word and he put her out and it's at this point where she moved in with her grandma and still continue to see Malika now like I told y in the beginning of this video Malika is 3 years younger than RZ so RZ was 17 at the time they met and so College was in Roz's near future and she did not want to stay in Milwaukee for college and once she graduated she ended up going to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and then she later transferred to the University of Oklahoma where she would play on their basketball team as a sooner and once Ros left left for college as expected things between her and Malika changed and it was probably unintentional but she called Malika less she didn't see her as often as you can imagine Malika's still in Milwaukee and Raz is over here in Oklahoma living her best college life and stuff was just overall different and if y'all ever been to college or lived on a college campus or anything like that y'all know that that is an experience okay that is a whole different experience look at me smiling thinking about my my college days cuz baby okay but you know you making new friends you getting new life experiences you pretty much learning who you are as a grown person away from your parents it's it's just a it's a whole thing and Malika still being in high school just didn't understand that she wanted their communication to stay consistent and the same where they was talking all the time and it just couldn't be like that no more but nonetheless while Ros was away at school Lea was killing it on Washington High School's basketball team and upon her graduation she went to WM University of Milwaukee which is obviously still in the same city I don't know if she stayed on campus or if she stayed at home but nonetheless she didn't too much like it there at WM so she would end up transferring to Kent State in Ohio where she played on their basketball team as well now it's unclear to me if the two of them remained in a relationship throughout the years or if they just stayed in contact or if they they lost contact and then came back together at some point I don't really know but in any event RZ was drafted to play for the Los Angeles Sparks in 2002 but she wouldn't get to play with them because she has abstained a knee injury prior to her being drafted and so for the 2002 basketball season I don't know how you say that I don't know nothing about sports is it 2022 2023 I no it's not even 2022 it's 2002 nonetheless for the season that she was drafted she didn't get to play and play because of her knee injury and she sat out on injury reserve however I think they did win the championship that year and so she's she's a WNBA Champion but unfortunately she would end up being released by the team in 2003 so she never even got to play a game with the Sparks but she does have a rookie card so but after she was let go by the Sparks I believe that's when she returned home to Milwaukee and then Malika would follow 3 years later in 2006 after she finished college and this is where the relationship either rekindled or continued I don't know but whatever the case was the two of them would end up moving in together and um this is when things got a little bit janky because according to people who knew them Malika was a little bit or a lot possessive over Raz and she would do little stuff like hide raz's Keys slash her tires you know just stuff so that Raz couldn't leave the house and she could just stay there and be with her the whole time you know even if they were arguing cuz I'm pretty sure those would cause arguments like girl why is you hiding my keys and why is you slashing my tires I hope you about to pay for them like cuz what however on the other hand RZ wasn't just this innocent person either RZ would lie to Malika and cheat on her constantly which I can only imagine was a source of Malika's insecurity and not want her to leave because girl if you if you cheating on me every time you lead a house why would I want you to lead a house I mean you could just lead a relationship but that's you know that's just me but as y'all can tell the relationship was just overall toxic with reports of domestic abuse from Raz to Malika and vice versa if I'm not mistaken I do believe that the claims went both ways but they were just like moths to a flame to each other they just could not separate for good it was like a break up to makeup type of thing with them and eventually the both of them started dealing with the toxicity arguing an overall deterioration of their relationship in their own respective way Malika with alcohol and R with the little puff puff you know and that's pretty much just what it was for the next couple of years but by 2010 RZ was over it she did not want to keep this back and forth thing going she was ready to get out and she was ready to get out for good and I've seen two different things on this part I've seen that RZ was offered a job in Oklahoma as a recruiter and a coach for day basketball team and I also seen that she was looking to just move to Oklahoma and then apply for the job as a coach SL recruiter I'm more inclined to believe that she was already offered the job but either way she planned on leaving Malika for good and moving to Oklahoma to just restart her life and the plan was to leave on September 19th of 2010 unfortunately she never got to follow through with those plans because on September 15th 4 days before she was supposed to leave she and Malika would take a trip to popey the one on in Silver Spring I don't know if it's on 60th 61st or something like that but y'all know the one I'm talking about if you live in Milwaukee the one that don't never got no chicken or sides yeah them so when they pull up in the Drive-Thru RZ ends up getting a call and apparently this call is from a young lady who she had previously cheated on Malika with and she answered the phone and according to the person who was on the other end of that phone call Malika is heard yelling at R who is that who is that you know trying to figure out who who calling you and R is just like it's none of your business yada y yada and tells this person I'm going have to call you back and it's believed that this phone call is what started the argument that led to the next couple of events and I saw a little piece of the video footage and I also read a description of what's happening and in this video you can see Malika pretty much going crazy on Ros she's hitting her punching her just you could just see like stuff like this in the video from Malika to RZ and at some point RZ speeds around the corner so from the call box towards you know the pay window and there's another car at the pay window and Roz stops behind them but she's not in I don't know she's off to the side she not like directly behind them right I hope I'm explaining that correctly but nonetheless a couple seconds later you can see Malika get out of the car walk around the back of the car and go to the driver side window where RZ is sitting and not too long after she reaches the driver's side she reaches into the window and shoots R's Point Blank Range now some people Malika's mom according to a document that I read of her trying to sue somebody um she thinks that the shooting is accidental but in my opinion just based off of what I saw based off of the video evidence I do not think that that shooting was accidental at all but you know that's just my opinion but nonetheless accident or not popey's employees were the ones who called the police because Malika did not and when the police got there 30-year-old Roslin Ross was pronounced deceased at the scene and 27-year-old Malika Willoughby was arrested on the scene and initially she was charged with first deegree intentional homicide but she pleed guilty in August of 2011 of the Lesser charge of first-degree Reckless homicide instead and she was sentenced to 13 years in prison with seven 7 years of extended supervision from what I read it looks like Malika might have gotten out in September of 2023 making her approximately 40 years old at the time of her release which is still considerably young and enough time to rebuild your life if you ask me but I know that in 2001 Malik was diagnosed with avoiding Personality Disorder so I hope that while she was in prison she got the help she needed for that or is getting the help currently now that she's you know out in society but who's to say man I can only imagine how it must feel for raz's family knowing that Malika got out in 13 years I mean I don't know that just don't seem like a lot of time to me that just that just does not seem like enough time to me and I don't even I don't know RZ so I can only imagine how her family feels knowing that Malika is out I mean yes she got seven years of suspended or extended supervision but like she's out in the world and ra their daughter their friend their sister cousin she didn't she don't get a second chance at life yeah but yeah y'all formed a very close friendship and bond with the with and unfortunately at least one of them for a fact I know was and for one of them no because one time her dad found I believe it was a note that that the she ended up going to Northwestern Northeastern Oklahoma A&M she ended up going to damn where she became a sooner and where she would play basketball uh where she played on their basketball team but nonetheless while but Malika with a little flask of alcohol every now every all the time so they went to so they pull up in the so they pull up
