welcome back to the channel this is your boy Rich here today we're going to be reacting to NASA saying that astronauts stuck in space will not return on the Boeing capsule and they're going to wait for the SpaceX craft what does all this mean let's [Music] react doing something new on the channel here we're going to be reacting to world news music events anything I find interesting Sports um you know just see what we learn some stuff I know about some stuff I don't so um I don't know much about NASA or out of space or anything like that so I I just came across this headline um from one of my friends and he was like yo take a look at this so I before I dive completely into it we're going to bring it here to the channel and uh we're going to do it together so uh I don't know really much so this could be fun this could be scary who knows so uh without further Ado let's pull up the video and LIF off of Starliner in Atlas 5 it was a historic Ascent into space m with setbacks and while Boeing Starliner did successfully deliver its to astronauts their mission just got a whole lot longer what happened to this lady's hair hold on we are has a whole lot longer a whole lot longer oh okay she's actually in orbit I'm like why is her hair standing up like Marge from The Simpsons why does she look like kid from kid and play like I confusing here but then uh we got my man right here uh this guy is definitely a uh he he looks like he is a strength and conditioning coach for for NASA or something you do not want to run into this guy NASA has decided that Butch and sunny will return with crew n next February next February it's August how the hell are they going to survive that long they must got something up there I don't know about uh and that Starliner uh will return uncrewed Butch Willmore and sunny Williams have already been at the did y'all see how the mic just like just just took off like hell no run that back International Space and sunny Williams have already been at the inter uncrewed but Willmore and sunny Williams already been at the inter that's funny as shital space station for over 2 months following their June 6th test launch that didn't go as smoothly as hoped now Less Than 3 m away hold on what do they mean by a test launch that doesn't go smoothly because like when I hear something like that that makes me think something went wrong or like you know something blew up or something dangerous happened from the International Space Station as the capsule approached the ISS some of its thrust ERS failed stranding the astronauts they will now come home early next year aboard a SpaceX Dragon fairy ship we so they just hanging out up there essentially like yeah we going to wait for um you know this thing to come get us but until then we ain't going to have no Christmas we ain't going to have no Thanksgiving we ain't going to get to watch football season college football start of the NBA Christmas and this sounds like misery I ain't going to cap have had mistakes done in the past we lost two space shuttles as a result of there not being a culture in which information could come forward space flight is risky even at its safest our core value is safety and it is our North Star welcome aboard the International Space Station first uh it's a great place to be a great place to live a great place to work this is the third test flight for the veteran astronauts who have been preparing for everything and anything shout out to them man it takes it takes a lot of um courage and willpower dedication skill to prepare yourself for this because like you might not come back like like and you got to like run tests and then what if the tests like tell you one thing and the actual execution does another kind of like what's happening here like yeah you're not coming back till next February how about it uh-uhm shout out to them there is not an option that's why we are staying here now Canada's newest appointed astronaut says if anyone can handle a longer Mission it's Butch will Moore and sunny Williams this is an incredible time in human space flight and we have to be prepared for suboptimal um uh outcomes bumps along the road and just we have to be committed to working the problem when these bumps arise and doing so in the safest and most uh risk mitigatory fashion possible NASA and Boeing say they have made significant prog I don't see nobody black up there just saying and understanding what went wrong with the thrusters and the helium leaks have stabilized Starliner could be back unmanned as early as September 6th we are still in the middle of a test flight we have to remain Vigilant um we need to get the vehicle back on Deck it's an out of this world story see I've already gotten used to her hair like it doesn't even bother me anymore so like it's just like she got to you know expanded kind of you know whatever but I don't know maybe like that that that that can't be efficient what if it gets caught on something like you got to tie that back or something I don't know hitting two families very close to home yeah you just s sort of have to roll with it and you sort of expect the UN shout out to uh Dean Wilmore Butch's wife she knows that um her husband is going up there with that lady for months and months and months they've got two children it looks like there a lot lot of trust there expected there could be more of that in the months ahead Jamie Daw Global News Calgary what a story um they're not coming back from months and months best wishes to to those folks um and these are the these are the uh risks I think that Americans and you know the Space Program itself take to stay on top to be uh in front of the world somebody's got to do it cuz I'm not going out there hell no like we I got to stay
