yeah this is a podcast of Nathan Nat sha let's go time to catch up with West Coast eagle star Jeremy MCG and look out he's going to he's back in the studio and this means he's back playing for the West Coast Eagles this weekend I'm suggesting not back in the studio first time in the studio in the eye yeah you're playing yes oh I've got to get through today get through today I'm playing what this interview or yes yeah was it starts here this is this is the hard bit and then it gets easier at training but no I got training today main training and then once I've got through that yeah yeah I hope so I'm more than he's looking me in the eye but now he's G is but um yeah 99.9 I got to get through today and I'm I'm good why is both your arms in a sling precautionary precautionary we're a moon boot these days prau your legs in plaster what are you doing so uh gab you had the time off which was great um freshing up you didn't get away though did you nah no I kept it pretty local I was moving house and mucking around here and getting the back right pretty much which sounds right moving house and getting your back go well together but uh so removalist moving the house but um yeah no I just hung around hung around with the kids and uh spent a bit of time here so yeah I would love to have got away but I'm here yeah how tall are you I'm tall enough to party to ride this ride Adventure World another tall drink of water is now I'm 196 depends if you who you ask cuz when we get asked the start of year how tall you are taller you are the the taller guys go out the front the plane you put a bit of M 210 in the book in the books I'm probably yeah 198 but I'm about 196 oh that's what the wild cats do when they get an overseas player import yeah they they always get and they go must have shrunk on the trie it's so funny in that so people say that you are taller than what they expect aren't they when they meet you yeah they do do um and like I said I hope they say I look skinnier better better than I do on TV cuz uh yeah I got a head for radio I'm glad I'm in here well sorry G so I played against I played with you Dad and I played against him he's my size yeah he's short Dad yeah and and your mom's not I can't remember her being that tall either oh she's about the same heart as Dad so in female terms a little bit taller but yeah she's not massive now yeah don't so both boys are tall particularly you y y cuz your brother's about 6 yeah he's just under me I think he's yeah about 63 he's always just under me that's the way it works my parents aren't tall either and that came out of no no one in our family's tall and in year seven I had to have a teacher's desk cuz I was the biggest kid of school so there was the teach me he was 25 so there was a teacher at the front and then there was all the students and then I was and I had a teacher's desk at the back you know mirroring the teachers at the front and I had a filing cabinet and everything cuz I couldn't fit when did you start shaving as a kid oh that was in Udo it was actually really painful for M and yet Sean hasn't started yet so figure that out when did you um when did you shoot up uh I was late actually I was oh I was I played Colts and I was a Ruckman then but I wasn't overly tall um and then I got drafted since I got drafted I reckon I put oh about 6 cm I reckon yeah that would have been a good surprise for them wouldn't it yeah yeah I don't know I don't think they would have picked it but um yeah yeah no I I sh up pretty late yeah so um oh it's just good whatever it is what it is but um yeah I'm glad I sh up a bit Yeah Yeah but it is bad when you're walking down the street and then like you get collected by a branch and then also webs have you noticed the web situation the webs always always get we always get webs you you wouldn't know short there's webs up there so we W pass cuz you you shorty clear the webs for yourself we with a broom we're we're not you know we didn't come Lear that frequently so you guys are getting webs what is Aaron sandlands getting birds birds anything that's flying the International Space Station Sean does it make you feel old that you played with Jeremy's dad and yet he's now you know one of the veterans of the Eagles it only it only ad dawned on me the other day um go cuz I went to the waffle uh last um Derby Day last long weekend right and I got inspired to check out when I was playing at the Waffle which was against your dad right 994 Grand Final yeah and that made me though how you there how old were you there I was two it's been started on your dad been you you can get the F out right K judge in the meeting he said you're going to you're going to play Andrew mcgaven in the middle of the ground that's your job for the day and then your dad got injured and he broke his foot at some stage I was like oh thank God for that that around oh he hasn't told me that but did they win 94 no he won yeah I wouldn't be telling the story I mean come on yeah there you go it's amazing because then obviously the governor went to clim on and then he picked up by the West Coast eagles with the links to Freeman under Jed and then you go what how did that happen and then Freeman will try to pay the governor like a million dollars to come over but he wouldn't come said n don't want any dirty purple money I'll take the million off West CO that's cool no it was not like that Sean but uh no I always want to be one club club player of course and uh obviously back for free when I when I grew up but um yeah no I loved West Coast and still doing uh yeah there was no reason for me to leave oh well now how many how many players out there are are wanting the one Club experience well P talked about it the other night when he accepted the uh Hall of Fame yeah yeah I think it it's a big deal it depends who you are and I think it's going to change I think the more the game goes on and evolves it'll be less and less people I think personally but um I've always yeah always wanted to be a one Club player and um yeah I I admire pav massively for being a one Club player and what he's done and um obviously he didn't get the the Premiership but uh he pretty much did every single thing other than that but um I admire him for for sticking around and uh and staying with the one Club I think it's great yeah we're a one station show just because of some people don't have a choice they don't do Jeremy McGavin in the house the thing that we um discovered about you just recently is that you don't like clutter no not really I yeah no I don't I don't like clutter I've had a lot of clutter in my house lately but I don't like it yeah and um what we've um said with gov and gov came up with the idea himself is that maybe a way that we could get rid of clutter is to do a brand new thing do tree what's he asking 450 tell him he's dreaming GV tree when gov goes through some of the crap he's got at his house and um hand selects pieces to give away to our listeners but what we're going to need is some people to pitch as to why they want it 13 2410 GV what have you brought in today what have I got in today it's it is extremely unique um I like it yeah that's no pun intended there but um it is very pretty much brand new pristine condition yeah it's in pristine condition unicycle unicycle so I mean not every you wouldn't think everybody's got a unicycle in their garage how did it end up in your garage uh it ended up in my garage cuz I was I know how to ride one obviously that's why I bought obviously obviously um and I was doing a tour to fridge and I thought I would tour to fridge I thought I'd do it a bit differently and uh yeah had a crack on the unicycle so what was it like towards the end of the day yeah I thrw it in the back of an Uber so if you want gob's unicycle 13241 um we need you to pitch for why you should get it because gv's going to ultimately decide the the good home it's going to G how did you first um learn how to ride a unicycle I actually learned how to ride a unicycle in the middle of the desert in a town called wton um yeah the school got donated a heap of circus gear and when we're out there there wasn't a lot we could do out there so uh I actually learned to write it out not really NOS that you spent a fair bit of your childhood living sort of in really remote communities right yeah I had a had a fair few years remote circusy communities yeah it was all so all the indigenous kids would be getting around how good were they yeah oh way better than what I am but um yeah there was heaps of all the different circus instruments and stuff out there but unicycle is the one I got drawn to and now I don't know my unicycles but the brand is DRS is it DRS Solo solo the solo as if you're going to get a tandem unicycle how would that work have breaks the one seat all right well we have our first Contender Jonathan from canning bille good morning hello good morning now tell us why you deserve um Jeremy mcgavin's unicycle I think I deserve Jerry mcg's unic cycle because it would help me remember the player help me scream a lot louder when game came on I'd be barracking for him and it' be a story to tell my friend you know just Help The Help the cause a little bit okay what do you think that's pretty good I'd like to see if someone would use it or try use it so the commitment would be whenever you were watching the Eagles play it would be on a unicycle most definitely all right well there we go you hang there Jonathan we'll move on to Renee and Sterling hello bike so your husband has four bikes so you want him to have four and a half four and a half so do you think he's going to be in the uh in the Lyra following along all these mates in the on a Saturday morning on cycle yeah okay J wouldn't be doing his time at the FR Saturdays and Sundays Natalie so Saturdays are for two wheels Sundays are for one right go so you've taken that on board yeah I've hello how you going Sarah welcome to gov tree why do you want gov's unicycle I I would love it for my 15-year-old son it's actually his birthday today he is known around our suburb every time someone says oh I saw Jack today he's always pulling a mono so halfway there he can basically do it already mono I mean have you not got him anything for his birthday Sarah you've left it a bit late look he got a couple of things like I think he did all right but uh I think a unicycle would really just put the cherry on the on the cake this morning but yeah so he's even uh one time we have a friend who's a police officer and um he was you know in the suburb and he said oh I saw Jack today he was in his cop car and he pulled out straight in front of him crossed through the roundabout on the on back wheel so I was like oh that's good have a helmet on as a parent do you have any concerns about giving a child like this a unicycle no I think it's great for their development personally um his own kids other people how's your health insurance Sarah you all paid off police Health actually so not we're all good we're s put the Jinx on me though because I couldn't handle his leg Yeah I know I know ago I used to work at a supermarket in Wembley and I used to pretend to be a clown quite often juggling oranges and getting around the shop I thought I I thought I could add it to the add it to the ACT I got to say I I reckon the 15y old kid that pops monos probably deserves it more than oh so so you're getting on and saying no actually somebody else deserves it more well my juggling Act was a long time ago oh how how old are you now Joe oh very very you can't say the number it is very isn't it on his ring you got insur question i' got a pedal I got a pedal the wireless just to keep this
