[Music] the MTV Video Music Awards VMAs 2024 is set to air on September 11th and the final lineup of performers has been officially announced this year's star studded event will feature performances from Anita Carol G LL Cool J and Shawn Mendes all taking the stage live from UBS arena in New York Anita is scheduled to perform her hits Savage Funk and alria as well as debut her new song Paradise which will feature guest appearances by DJ khed Fat Joe and taigo pzk Carol G who has previously graced the VMA stage is also set to deliver a highly anticipated performance LL Cool J will return to the VMA stage for the first time in over 25 years adding to the night's excitement meanwhile Shawn Mendes will make his debut appearance at the event forming ahead of his upcoming album release Shawn slated for October the previously announced lineup of performers includes Sabrina Carpenter Katy Perry Chapel rone Camila Cabo glorilla raw Alejandro Benson Boon Hy Lisa and Lenny Kravitz Megan the stallion will host the event adding another layer of star power to the Night Katy Perry will also receive the prestigious video Vanguard award in a statement Bruce Gilmer chief content officer of Music at Paramount plus and president of music music Talent programming and events at Paramount praised Perry as a musical Powerhouse and true pop culture icon Gilmer added with her game-changing Creative Vision she has become a global phenomenon and taken over the world's biggest stages leading the nominations this year is Taylor Swift who has earned 10 nods giving her the opportunity to make history as the first artist to win video of the year three time in a row Swift is followed closely by post Malone who garnered nine nominations including best collaboration for I had some help with Morgan Wallen Ariana Grande Sabrina Carpenter and Eminem each received six nominations while siza and Megan the stallion are in the running for five mooners trophies Olivia Rodrigo Teddy swims and blackpinks Lisa have four nominations each as do Benson Boon Anita dualipa Tyla bleachers and glorilla
