[Music] hey I'm Joan I am the first golden Bachelorette get ready with me for my photo shoot I love this song isn't it great I was actually on the first season of the golden Bachelor and I went there because I had been widowed for 2 years at the time and my husband passed away from pancreatic cancer and I kept thinking you know I loved being part of a couple but I really wasn't sure I was ready to start dating I had a great time but my journey was cut really really short I felt like I left stuff on the table and so when the bachelor people said that I was being considered for the golden bachette I jumped on it I was so excited that they even like thought of me cuz I left so early are you excited yeah I can't wait there was a part of me that felt like maybe I was selfish looking for a second love at this age but after being on the golden Bachelor I saw these wonderful women that I loved and respected and they didn't feel embarrassed about it when the show was over we got so much positive Fe back John you're so cute thanks to you I'm excited and nervous about night one I finally get to meet all these men I'm very worried I'm not going to remember their names but I love that I am the first golden Bachelorette I want to make this journey look really fun for all the people that are in the same position as me and hope that it makes them want to go out and date and find love too
