on the 2nd of September 2024 FX will premere the second episode of English teacher Progressive educator Jackson McCay takes a job at a rural Texas school where his innovative ideas quickly face strong resistance the teachers accustomed to traditional methods Vu Jackson's approaches with suspicion and hostility believing his methods are too radical and out of place in their conservative School environment meanwhile the students noticing his commitment to fairness and equality begin to view it against him some of them skillfully manipulate the situation finding any opportunity to accuse him of discrimination putting Jackson in a difficult position as he tries to navigate these conflicts Jackson realizes he needs to reassess his methods and find a way to communicate his ideas effectively without compromising his principles he understands that if he truly wants to transform this school and make it more modern and Equitable he will need to be more flexible and resourceful than he initially thought gradually it becomes clear to him that real change requires not only new teaching methods but also a deep understanding of the context and the people he is working with
