>> Tonight, a football coach known for molding the lives of young men in Richmond is being remembered after his sudden death. >> All in, Aldridge died over the weekend at just 52. He was a star Cougar who went on to win a Super Bowl before a two decades of coaching career at Fort Bend Bush. >> Abc13's Alex Bozarjian is at the school with his legacy. >> Allen Aldridge went all the way to the Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos back in 1997. He took home a ring. It was a proud moment, no doubt, but it does not compare to the proud moments he had here at Bush High School. As a coach and a mentor to his players. Allen Aldridge saw the football field as a place to build character. Yolanda Sneed says Aldridge was the only boy out of all of their cousins as he advanced through his career. He went on to win a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos as a defensive lineman. His aunt, Vivian Sneed, says his success was an inspiration to the whole family. >> Very proud of him. >> The entire family was very proud of him, with him being the only boy amongst the three girls. We just admired him and loved him. He knew that he was loved. >> Aldridge transitioned from player to coach at Bush High School two decades ago. In a statement, Fort Bend ISD said in part he was known for his commitment to developing players into young men who conducted themselves with integrity and pride, and he would sometimes show his Super Bowl to students to demonstrate that nothing was impossible. Aldridge's family says his untimely passing was due to a medical emergency, one they never anticipated. It shocked the community and his team. One of his players, Cameron Hope, sent this tribute to Abc13. He was such a passionate coach that was full of knowledge on and off the field, a real father figure that would always try to mold us from boys to men. Words can't express how supportive he was, and I'm sure that they're taking this pretty hard because, you know, he definitely poured into his school. >> He poured into the other staff
