Oh Yep. Tiger fans, you know what this means after all the talking and the hype this off season which touts Memphis to win the conference. It's finally time for the walking and for that walking to do the talking fourth year starting QB Seth Henigan enters Simmons Beek Liberty Stadium for his last first game as a Tiger. And shortly after the rest of the Tigers are released for their clash with North Alabama and it's as easy as 12 for the Tigers. Literally number two in South Carolina transfer, Mario Anderson junior. Steam rolls his way in for his first TD as a Tiger and the first of the season for Memphis, it's one of two. Anderson would score on the night. So the offense rolling and so too, the D Ari Patu says, oh, Matt Hudson, you want the ball? Ok? No worries, man. It's, it's yours and the Tigers capitalize on the ensuing drive and you literally won't get a better view of this TD play action. Hennigan over the top to Anthony landfill and straight into your living room. Tigers cruise in this one to a fort shutout win. They forced three turnovers limited the Lions to less than 200 yards and Hennigan had more than 300 of his own. It's exactly the way they wanted to start the season, except for one thing, running back, Sutton Smith went down injured in the game and didn't return for more on that. We're going to head out to our Caleb Hilliard, Caleb so much expectation and excitement coming into the season and even with the hole in the stadium, the Tigers really living up to the hype, but Southern Smith certainly dampening expectations, definitely put off some weird vibes, but we got used to it. I've been going to games here since I was five. I eventually got used to it. The fans definitely did. They showed up and showed out and the positive vibes were carrying on to the field. The Tigers offense was on fire and then dynamic running back, Sutton Smith went down after he seemingly injured his knee after a hit in the first quarter. The junior sadly left the game on crutches and after the game, we received an ominous update from head coach Ryan Silver field on his injury. Take a listen. He did get hurt. Uh, it doesn't look great. Um I I our entire program will keep him in our thoughts and prayers and hope that he's ok more than anything pain free. I wish him a speedy recovery. But uh, Sutton's worked his tail off to put himself in a position to, to have the success that we're looking for. Um But that's why we train guys and that's why we have a lot of depth and that was going into the season. You can never have enough depth of running back. Now, I think the guys behind him are capable. We're all going to have to step up. Yeah, that's something you never want to hear a coach say it doesn't look good, but hopefully the injury isn't too serious and Sutton can get back on the gridiron here soon because the Tigers are definitely more dangerous with that dynamic back on the field. But next week they'll rely on Mario Anderson Junior and Dick Greg de Rosier junior after they played so well tonight as the Tigers will take on Troy right here at Simmons Bank of Liberty Stadium next Saturday. But Rachel, we talked about the Tigers, but how about those rebels down south?
