How To Work At Best buy

Recap today we're going to talk about Best Buy once again if you missed the first two other videos you might want to roll back and check them out we went over some deep lore there what was like working at Best Buy what was like being the Apple dude but today as we explore in this Best Buy I'm going to recant a very specific stories that I forgot to tell you in some of the other ones everything from messing with customers Minds to customers fighting and the infamous hacker type of story that I forgot to tell you so without further ado let's get right into this normal day at Best Buy so this one actually begins in the Apple shop I was actually just working Hacker Typer here I was the Apple rep at the time just doing Apple rep things and then out of nowhere is this person following me this is exactly how it happened someone came and asked for me dude are back off back what are you doing I'll help them oh my God okay all right anyway so that was that was weird are there more of them coming I'm just trying to tell a story just be dead okay that it starts off with them being dead so there I was like straightening the laptops and clean them getting all the disgusting fingerprints off and then someone wants my attention at customer service so I'm like um no obviously I'm busy and they kept asking for me and kept asking for me up at Geek Squad So eventually I was like just send them back to the Apple shop I don't want to go to customer service so that person over there brings their terrible equipment it was it was I don't have a the max in game but they brought this over let's just bring that yeah right about there looks good so so this couple was up at customer service slge Squad trying to say that their computer was like infected with something and they had a Mac and for the most part especially back in the day that stuff just wouldn't happen to Mac so people all the time would say I'm hacked or something crazy so when they heard that I was working the store as the Apple rep they were just like oh my God we need to see them and I'm like please for the love of God do not send them over to me so what happens they send them over to me I was just like oh my Lord and I'm sitting here I don't even know what I'm looking at like their computer is perfectly normal and they're like what do you think is the problem and I have the other employees like walking P there was this guy named um Casey he was just like uh walking back he's just kind of listening see what's going on and I I I didn't give a [ __ ] honestly I I just didn't care and there was nothing wrong with them they told me that geek sad there's nothing wrong they just wanted me to like lick the computer and tell them it was it was fine so what did I do well cracks knuckles I went to a website called hackertyper.com when they they weren't paying attention they're too stupid to know anyway like so I'm just like on hackertyper.com if you guys don't know what hackertyper is basically any terrible movie that has hacking they used to use hackertyper where they would have things appear on the screen and it makes it look like it was hacking so what I did is I was going like this like type type type type and any any key you hit on the computer would generate inputs on the screen and it made it look like green code like I was in The Matrix I'm like okay all right so you see here null reference equals the square root and these customer had no idea like this person is looking at me like wow he's he's really doing the thing I see in the movies I'm just like okay tap tap tap oh okay so that's not good that's I I see what you guys are talking about now they're like see they didn't see that at GE Squad I'm like thank God you're here so I'm just typing away typing reading everything on the screen and this is going on for a little bit Casey now sees me he walks by and he sees the screen he gives me this look like no way are you [ __ ] using hacker typer and I'm dead pen straight face is going oh yeah I'm really into it now you can clearly see them doing a thing because customers think when you're working on their computer that you're like you know going to town on their computer like try to fix it so Casey's starting to lose it right he's going like this outside of the that's Casey he just he's asleep but he's he was walking around over here he's giving me this look like oh my God trying to keep his straight face walking and laughing now the customers have like they see him and they're they don't really understand what's going on they're they're in the thrs because they see everything on the screen now let me to the chase here's how hacker typer works as you hit Keys like I said it generates a random input you have a 5050 chance I I I believe it's 50% chance that if you type random [ __ ] enough for as long as possible either green text will appear on the screen that says access granted or red text that says access denied and I'm sitting here just [ __ ] gambling right I'm just like d and by the grace of I don't know the Lord Almighty Satchmo it says access granted in in big green text and I give this man I look him dead in his soul and I was like I'm like come here for a second do you see how it says access granted on the screen and he's like yeah I totally see that that's a good thing so basically what I was able to do to get into your computer on a kernel level and really get behind it so anything that was possibly going wrong I literally just fixed it for you and you could tell because it says access granted and his mind was like well honey six assic granted and they're like thank you so much for taking the time and doing this I'm like you're welcome anytime I could be a service you know like Geek Squad couldn't figure it out but don't worry I know you guys were smart enough to go past Geek Squad talk to me and yep access granted now take your computer and get the [ __ ] I mean I didn't say take your computer but I was just like yeah you guys are good and they just literally just [ __ ] off and then everyone else as far as the Best Buy employees like um Casey and this other guy Mark they're looking at me like whoa how how did you [ __ ] pull it off straight fa it was honestly it was my pride and joy it was the best thing I've ever done in my entire Best Buy career and you know while I'm on the Trolling Customers topic right of of the computers and stuff I want to tell you a couple like computer stories slbe in the Apple section because I eventually I lost my mind like working in here when you basically do nothing for so long and you've worked inside retail forever your mind goes and you start losing faith in humanity and more importantly use faith in not only your co-workers but the customers so one time you know customers they they walk in there are some good people out there I don't mean to lump them all together but sometimes you know you just can't help yourself you know what I'm saying but they they'll whatever we're not talking about the good ones the bad ones though they'll come in and they don't even treat you like a person they just look at you and say the thing that they're looking for like I'm a [ __ ] Google like this they think that you could just walk up to a human being and be like you have they didn't even say you have they'll be like printers printers and you're looking at them like he is this a Pokemon is that all he can say printers and eventually like are you looking for a printer yeah I'm looking for a printer and then you walk them over to the printers section and they ask you like 9,000 questions about printers and you're like uh what [ __ ] you so now that you know that a customer I'm in the Apple shop like I'm like take I have like a rag that's like I keep in my ass pocket and I was just like wiping the the machines down and I'm over here right just going so this guy walks in over to me cuz he's he's like walks past all the best bu employees I'm I'm not well I'm in a blue shirt now but I was in a black shirt that said apple on it had that big big ass logo was right here and I'm wiping this [ __ ] down and the guy walks up to me and he goes computer paper without missing a beat I don't Ste stop what I'm doing I just go uh computers don't take paper and I just walked away from him obviously he wanted paper to put in his printer so that when he went to the computer and pressed contrl p and printed something it would happened but him saying computer paper ah no computers don't take papers you idiot the look at his face he was just as I walked I walked away and there was not really any consequences because then he just found like a a regular Best Buy mly did the same thing like computer paper and he and he brought him to the computer paper but ah I just love trolling customers which reminds me of a fantastic story about iPads you see I was working with this this guy Eli he was a little bit older and he he was a troll he knew I was a troll um I'm trying to keep my composure customer looking at iPads right and you know how like apple always names like weird things like this is space gray and aluminium yellow and and all this crazy stuff right so we always had this joke that I don't think there's an example of it over here but the iPad like the white iPad was it had a white front and gold back so everyone just called it the gold iPad it was it was gold right but I I was we were called it banana white for some reason I it's not really that funny I don't care I don't care if you're not laughing but we called it banana white so me and Eli are standing there and Eli if the moment he senses humor or that there's like a troll moment he gets this smile out of his face it was contagious but it's like a [ __ ] eating grin um it was it was fantastic and he's talking to the customer I'm like I bet you on on the side I'm like Eli I bet you I can talk to this customer into buying the banana white one having it call and I'll have the customer say banana white and then he'll buy it and he'll definitely go home and tell his family he bought the banana white one so we're both sitting there right now Eli's like yes so this is an iPad you touch it and you rub your greasy hand on it and the customer's like really oh this is a cool one so then we get to like the color like w what color in combination you want so then I I come in right I'm just like Hey sir I see Eli's helping you with an iPad and he's like yeah I'm like have I told you that the most popular color for iPad is the banana white one and I said just like that like banana white one and the customer gave me this look he looked at me like he knew he his brain heard something wrong and he's looking right at me and he's saying what color and then I'm like the banana white one now I've locked in the banana white one it's all the r it has a white front the reason why they call it the banana white just like a banana the back of it like the peel is yellow but when you get really into the the the guts of it it's white just like a banan that's why the front is white and the back is yellow that's why we call it ban white it's extremely popular I look at Eli Eli is stunned he's just flabbergasted his hands are just like uhhuh and the Custer looking at me like interesting like I could tell his mouths are forming the words to say and I'm going back I'm like that's right the banana white one like I'm trying to incept them I'm like say it say banana white you know you want to say it and event's okay I guess I'll take one so then Eli he's going to grab the thing he goes up like the ladder there was cages back there he's on the ladder to get the the iPad and once again he's up there now he's like I can't all the way up here and he asked down he's like so what actually let me get up there so pretend like there's crates up here and then there's people over there he's asking down this is really trippy cuz I was up here like a thousand eyes but he's asking down like what color did you want and I look at the customer and the customer looks at me dead in the eyes and he goes I want the banana white one and his son had recently come so his son has no idea and of course you can't trick like the younger ones because like their brain is still connected to their brain stem and he's like the banana white one and I thought that kid was going to [ __ ] us over because he's looking at his dad like which one the white one and he's like yeah yeah yeah yeah that one the banana the banana white one so this guy buys it right he Rings him up [ __ ] him so he he buys it he spends like 300 plus dollars on like a a slidy phone thing and he's leaving the store talking about how it's banana white I hope he got home and said it this someone in family made fun of him all right now let's take a visit to Geek Insane Person Squad for a second because there's I have tons of stories but I've narrowed it down to like a super crazy one and hey look the they turn the lights on in the break room last time I visited here this was horrifying who they have things playing oh my God they have an episode of SpongeBob playing right now oh this is great because when you go into the break room in the hub they always have like something random on it was never anything like too good but the fact that an episode of SpongeBob is playing I'm getting distracted you guys want to hear the Best Buy story there was this Infamous crazy customer named Raina oats okay I said it in a long form because she's equally as crazy and it could still persist now so we're up at Geek Squad and she always had problems but these problems were the most convoluted thing in the planet she was she would always say how the craziest [ __ ] in her life is happening she needed to get her phone looked at and fixed because she had pictures of a state senator and she's trying to like blackmail the person with because like they were I don't know they did something so she she's over there I'm I'm G to walk over here so she can see me she literally always pulls aggro this is perfect so she's like yelling at people like you got to help me No One Believes Me I'm I'm a lunatic see how she's like straight up fighting the Best Buy employee this is this is just normal let me get over there so she's she was like saying how she needs help because she's been hacked or something something absolutely crazy of course she had a [ __ ] iPhone wow she just got cold punched but she's saying how he I need help this person's after me I'm a lunatic and then the Best Buy guy standing right here at Geek Squad he's looking right at her like she out crazed him and doesn't know what to say did you win you beat her down oh you're coming after me all right so anyway so when he was talking to her he couldn't just he couldn't just tell her to go away because her level of of craziness she had like a Max stats and like insanity and he was like a a level one in speechcraft so there's nothing he could do he's completely overpowered his mind exploded so then I I see what's happening I didn't really have to go over there but I see what's happening and I was bored so I I wanted the crazy sometimes you want the drama in retail because you're so [ __ ] bored so I walk over there just to kind of see what's happening and she's like I'm an insane person my phone's hacked they're making fun of me on the internet and we're like what do you mean they're making fun of you on the internet because her name was Raina oats so anytime she saw a picture of a horse on the internet she would say that they're making fun of her who's they because she would go to Google and type in oats and horse and because like the two of them are related guess horses eat eat oats she starts saying yeah they're out to get me they're hacking me uh she said about something about like the something Brotherhood I forgot I think it was like the Islamic brotherhood was out get her for some reason and we're sitting there I think it was me and Alex we we're both standing there [ __ ] flabbergasted I'm like okay step aside dead Alex it's time for me to flex My ultimate retail muscle you see her level Insanity was not higher than mine I looked her dead in the eyes and I was like I'm like Raina are you being serious right now and she's like yes I need help she had of course had like tape over the front of her iPhone people are hacking me I'm just like I'm like I believe you that's what we have to do with crazy people I believe you everything you're saying and I'm like listen listen I the Ser most serious look on my face I take the like the walkie off I put it there I'm like badging gun I'm like Raina if you think you're being hacked right now what you need to do is immediately go down to the precinct stop and she starts talking like stop you need to rush down to the precinct right now and she's like really and it's like yes this is a serious thing you say you're being hacked by the Islamic brotherhood and you are blackmailing a state senator you got to go they're after you you have to go in there and do it and she's like oh yeah yeah yeah she's getting all hyped up yeah yeah yeah I I I have to go do it so Alex is he's panicking he doesn't know what to do like like keep it together Alex and she I almost have her I have her like on on the ropes and she's like yeah you want to know what that's exactly what I'm going to do so she starts to be like questioning she like but but you know cuz when when you're that crazy things don't make sense in your mind she says like yeah yeah but but what if what if they what if they don't believe me like she knows she's full of [ __ ] she's like what what if they don't what if they don't believe me so then I'm behind the counter I'm like Raina I'm being serious right now this is a borderline emergency you need to go stop talking to me go down to the precinct and do it so she's like okay i' I've convinced her she leaves she's like okay I'm I'm gonna go do it now me because I am 100% a lunatic decid to be like you want to know what would be really fun let's just give them a heads up so it's not illegal to call a Precinct just so you know we don't dial 911 to do don't be stupid but we called the local Precinct and I'm just like like boop boop boop and hello the seventh whatever prct was like hey this is um employee number who gives a [ __ ] calling from uh Best Buy listen I just want to let you guys know we had a customer in here talking about how she was hacked and all these crazy things and she's worried Islamic brotherhood so I sent her down to you guys to speak to you the person on the other end it's like what why would you s what do you mean speak there why would you sit here I'm like she sounding like it was a borderline half emergency I didn't want to call 911 but I wanted to give you guys a fair warning and heads up her name's Raina goodbye click and Alex is looking at me like I just destroyed like the planet like he looked at me like we were on the life raft and I was like oops and we're we're sinking he was like we're going to get we're going to in trouble we're going to get arrested up like Alex shut the [ __ ] up I got her out of the store okay let's take a look at the mobile section for a second because a lot of nonsense goes on the mobile Jeff section you know me I told you a story of East and black fry and all that fun stuff there is usually in most them I don't know if there is anymore a Samsung Experience Store just like there's an Apple Store there's also Samsung phones now this specific store model doesn't have the Samsung one so I'm going to use this as a placeholder the mobile desk let me just set this fun stuff up though I'm going to be as upfront with you guys as possible here this story although it doesn't directly involve me I was just there for this is a story of a Samsung rep named Jeff this is two of his his stories um the first one is probably the worst part of Technology you ever hear in the most innocent way but anyway so here's how the story goes this customer comes in to see Jeff I'm going to put a Jeff behind the counter here we go that that's Jeff so the customer goes to Jeff and says hey I need I have some questions and Jeff was a really nice guy he would always help out the customers even with the most stupid things like even if they were just like hey my phone is n working and they're clearly not holding anything Jeff would be like oh I can help you with that did you remember to bring it and they're like oh no I didn't my bad that's why it's not working so think of that that's his level of patience this customer comes in and says hey I I need some help I have something on my phone and I want to get it transferred to my computer right okay that's a normal problem for someone to have that's not like Adept or even equipped to use technology so you don't feel bad he like I can absolutely show you because you know that there's an endo you know that there's a file you know that there's their computer and you know how to get it done the math is there but the customer's brain is not so Jeff doesn't want to just do it for the customer because there's some rules and laws especially for transferring files you don't want to be the one to do it so if something [ __ ] up they can't blame you so keep that in mind the customer I'm GNA lose it the customer's asking and Jeff is like okay so what you need to do is take the file from take the file from the computer and you're GNA draag drag and drop it in here and what you do is you're going to take your phone plug it into I don't have a tower but whatever take it you're going to plug it in to the computer cust was like and he's okay so he's showing him on this um so this was like Jeff's Machin he had a desk so he's like you're GNA plug it in and then you're you're GNA take you're G to take what the file from from the phone and drag and drop it onto the computer so the customer is just like okay I could do that and he tries to do it and just like no no no no you got you you're G to drag it so take the mouse this mouse can I hold this one he's like yeah okay I'm so sorry I'm laughing through this one reset he says you're going to take the mouse and you're G to click and drag the file and drag and drop it into the from your computer to the phone so the customer I [ __ ] you not picks up the mouse God bless their soul and they and he JS like drag it drag it with the mouse takes the mouse puts it on the screen and rubs it like this rubs it thinks he think he's dragging droping the file and he's going to like use the uh I don't even know the photon metric system to take it and physically drag it out of the computer like the file is now in The Ether here and then he's going to drop drop it onto his phone and Jeff God bless his soul he's goes like he sees the C goes and he goes like no not locked he's defeated and the C was like what what happened what do you mean it was H the biggest breakdown in the use of technology and I I saw the moment this the soul left Jeff's body it's like why do I even do this All Right One More Story involving Jeff because I can't help myself so he had this customer that like took an affinity to him not not in that type of way but in the way because like he was like oh you're my tech guy so he would come to see Jeff like all the time and this guy he was a big man I don't mean like a I mean like he was a big man he legit looked like Kingpin Kingpin from Spider-Man he was that big and he's like hey hey Jeff how's it going you need help with my phone and Jeff would always help him out but this guy would always break his phone because he's 9,000 pounds it was either one time he's like I'm sorry keep laughing one time he he told Jeff he's like gu had a lot of money too I don't know from what but he was just like hey I need you to help set my phone up I I I just got a new one so he helps him and then the guy comes back like one day or two days later uh Jeff I need to buy a new phone I need you to help me set it up and he's like didn't I just do this for you and the guy's like yeah but the phone got stuck in the couch cushion and when he sat back to use the recliner he just [ __ ] decimated his phone crushed it in the thing like oh my God how did that happen he's like I don't know but he had like uh their Geek Squad protect or some [ __ ] so he paid the $200 deductible and got a new one and Jeff's trying to help him out transfers all the stuff the phone was obliterated but he had the Sam CL Samsung like cloud or some [ __ ] helps him whatever you think that's the end of the story right you think I'm going to make up this next part but I promise you none of these stories are made up they're all real so this guy comes back like I don't know if it was the next day but relatively soon in a way that surprised Jeff and Jeff's like oh Kingpin fancy seeing you here and the guy's like boom boom hey Jeff you're never going to believe it but I need you to help me out with another phone I am so sorry I keep laughing I'm a professional he's like Jeff I need I need your help setting up a new phone uh because the other one remember the other one I broke he's like yeah remember I helped you said he broke and the couch it's like well and he's he's kind of all embarrassed right now um now I'm not making fun of him for this one and he he had no condition his condition was hamburgers so he's like well I need a new fold again I just got to the deductible and they told me I reach my maximum but they're going to let me do it I had dropped my phone on the floor and this is a big guy not like Maui big like I'm talking to Elephant big and and he it was a straight face it's like and then I saw it there but I took a step and I took a step and his his girth and the way gravity worked on him was too much where in slow motion he slowly stepped on his phone and there's nothing he could do because he was too big so just the picture the phone right picture this the phone and then this this is this this is him this is the phone it's like oh oh no he can stop himself so he just slowly steps on the phone and he crushes it in like multiple stages like it like it was a levy giv away go like no no broken Jeff look at this thing it's it's like shattered the glass all broken it's waffled and he's like so it's Jeff he's like so he stepped on it and the guy's like yeah he helps with the best of his ability that's that's the end of that story he helps with the best ability guy whatever but then I go to talk to Jeff and he can't even contain himself dude he's like the guy remember that guy I'm like yeah he broke his phone again he slowly stepped on it like imagine being that big where the moment your leg moves you can't even stop it whatever happens has to happen that's that's what happened but thanks Jeff that's a serious wap on Jeff while I'm in the mobile section I want to talk Woodchips about another weird thing so there's there's cell phones which are you know you press buttons and then there's prepaid cell phones in fact this store have any on display are these just all cases hey there's a Ted lasso thing I don't I don't see any prepaid cell phones on display but it's not going to stop me from talking about them so I'm working with my friend Rob and I I was just there helping him right because I was bored once again and the customer's like buying these phones and he's asking questions as we're send up another customer's account or something and he's like hey I just need to buy this phone real quick it was like a some Boost Mobile piece of [ __ ] phone like classic drug dealer something something weird happening um the guy was going to like sell alligators or some [ __ ] and he's like yeah I need to just buy the phone I'll throw my SIM card in there and then bada boom bada bing all these things you're good to go so and and the phone's like $9 or some some [ __ ] and the reason why it's $9 is because it's attached to a service with prepaid phones they want to get the $9 one and use their shitty Boost Mobile service so we're trying to tell the customer that's like listen guy it doesn't work like that all phones have to be activated we scan in b b Bop you tell us your Boost Mobile number we tell Boost Mobile that like your your the sack [ __ ] and then they activate your phone and then you're good to go and he's like no I do this all the time I just come into the store and I buy the phone and I set up and we're like Rob and I look at each other like this [ __ ] guy we've been doing this for like 10 years Sir with cell phones it's very specific you can't just put your sim card in especially not on a prepaid phone some phones you can on like postpaid stuff you just swap it around and it tell the technology takes over and he's like trust me dude I can do this and we're like okay man all right we know you're going to be wrong so we're both just sitting here and Rob humors him he's like all right it's going to take me two seconds Rings up he's like that'd be $10 84 cents with tax the guy pays it and we're like all right and and but and Rob I think was a supervisor at the time he he told the guys like listen just so you know you can't return that of course he could but like you can't return that once you open that one and put your put the card in there it's just not going to work and it's like I'm telling you it's not going to work prior to do that so when it doesn't work you can't return it and you're out to 10 bucks and the guy's like right classic classic customer so he opens the thing takes his like shitty SIM card puts it in there and Rob and I are both looking at each other and he has a look the customer has a look on his face like oh man this is worse than I thought but then all of his [ __ ] starts working he goes makes a phone call yeah hey whatever my best boy I just got my new phone and we hear the person talk on the other hand like you know and Rob and I look at each other like no this this can't be happening the guy looks like see I told you it's all a scam these these cell phone C companies are trying to scam you you could buy whatever phone you want on any network and put it in there and you can't [ __ ] do that it's never worth I did in the history of forever except when this guy from the future came and do it so Rob and I are losing our minds because we've done so many activations we look at each other like wait are we wrong has this whole thing just been a lie and then we start making this joke where like um the customers G be like yeah and also I'm I'm allowed to pay for this stuff in wood chips I they take it all the time they like well I mean I guess he's right and then you'd press a button the register open and just filled with wood chips just like oh oh yeah I I guess I guess that's how it works now this next story once again involves the mobile section and uh it's going to Room Temp IQ involve the employees we're going to start ragging on employees for a little bit I'm going to combine two different stories I had this one guy was called the Apple Master which is just means they worked for Best Buy and they have a different name tag so this guy ah man what was his name I don't remember his name unfortunately he was like one of those come and go guys but he seemed like a normal person he's like hey guys pachu p I'm a completely normal guy that's what you do and uh he was hired you know I sat on in his interview and we hired him because like seems like a normal person seems like he has a soul still in his body um good let let's you're hired so then we train him up we do his things and then over time he starts to get like worse and worse he would come in and and he was just like extra stupid some days and you're like what is wrong with this kid there's there's something something wrong with this kid and then me and that manager Tom at the time I'm talking to him I'm was like is is he like on something is he is he crazy like you guys did like a a drug test on him and all that fun stuff and they're like yeah he was totally good they definitely need to do a drug test because this guy half of his eye is closed and he's just standing there like uh like this close to things and he's just like uh yeah okay and you're trying to talk to him and his face is basically asleep so one time he's in the parking lot like because employees sometimes take breakes obviously in the parking lot and like in their car not just like well some of them just did it around but he would just be like in someone said he saw him in his car head on the dashboard just like drugged out of his mind and that was on his break he comes back from his break and he just W walks back in the store like everything's fine like he just came from the methoden methadone clinic he's just completely out of his brain cells like nothing is working he's just standing there customers are looking at him the kid looks like he was like a [ __ ] zombie like he was just bit and he's just like shuffling around and stuff and he's at work and Tom's looking at him like the one time Tom's in something funny he's like looking at him he's like what the [ __ ] is wrong with this kid we got to fire him and I'm looking I'm looking at Tom and I'm like I I don't even know what to say and he looks at me dead in the eyes he like well I guess we got this one wrong this one's on us for hiring than I'm like I don't even know what to do how do you even get rid of someone like this now why am I telling you that story well because and because I'm telling you that I'm gonna bring it into this next part which is just about the employees in general you see once contracts from the the normal two years where you spend like $3 on a phone and it's the rest is like in built into the plan in the in the in the states they had switched it where they called an installment billing so I think it was like 200 13 2014 is when it started and um basically there was two a bunch of different plans and customers would come in all the time and they're like hey I want to get a new phone and you help them and then the managers like the district manager Greg of course it's Greg he's like you need to convince every customer every time to do installment billing installment billing is is it's best for the customer it's best for the company blah blah blah [ __ ] now there was a lot of the times where Best Buy would run promotions which was against the benefits of installment billing like that one story I told you where they get a phone for a dollar and a $200 gift card so what they're going to choose that every single time now I tell you that because you you were supposed to have these employees with literal room temperature IQ they they were working here they would have to sit down like this and and they're like drawing they're doing math with the customer like okay so you take the two that's two of them twoyear contract the phone is $11,000 you put that into the twoyear contract cont ra and that hold on that will make your phone bill no that's not right erased at $200 and the customer looking on their face like this was happening basically what they were trying to do is take the price of the phone break it down monthly let's say it came down to 2755 over the course of two years so you take 2755 you times it by two and then you tell them the plan so if they were like on a higher plan times the customers would be like oh wow that makes sense yeah let's change that plan I get my data or whatever and and the but the the the people behind the counter couldn't do the math it was I I I would be sitting there talking to them I'm like dude so if you do math with the customer right there like say let's say they're paying $200 for their oneline contract phone yes they can get get a phone right now for $1 and the rest would be built into their plan but they're still spending $200 a month for two years right so I what I want you to do is take two years and times it by 200 and they're like okay and then with the customer then take the new plan take the phone 2755 and times that by like um 18 and the reason they did 18 instead of 24 is because at 18 months you can give the phone back into them and then upgraded so you didn't have to pay off the remaining balance which would mean it would end up being cheaper in the long run for the customer over the course of two years now the room temperature IQ people couldn't understand it they' be like okay especially the the methodone kid he was [ __ ] there's no hope he's barely alive so they're sitting there trying to do math with the customers they're all getting it wrong then mult whoa customers are coming back into the store saying their bill got [ __ ] up because they can't explain things and these people that that couldn't even graduate the eighth grade they couldn't even do it if if they tried they're sitting there desperately trying to activate it the entire time like the manager like the Greg port and everything he's like they got to make sure they understand their stuff and activate the phones because you want to have at least a 40% installment billing rate how are you going to have a 40% installment billing rate if the people you hire can't do math like it's just was crazy all right two more stories I I Customer Royale have two more stories for you guys there that I'm going to tell today there's tons of other ones but I don't want to I don't want to get lost in my thoughts here I'm already breathing and laughing into the microphone but I worked um when I was with the Apple person and with Best Buy I worked in a one spot in New York um and this was an intense spot like half ride or die type of situation so the employees that they hire were you know reflective of you know the people that lived in the area so you had they they would call like you're look I'm in my costume they say you're looking in my costume when the customer's giving them an attitude like you know normally I say normally but it shouldn't even be normal when you're at work and a customer is rude to you what do you do you unfortunately just take it right you like okay whatever solve the thing or you walk away or you go get a manager and you [ __ ] off right no no no not in this Best Buy location you see in this Best Buy location people were more hard than that so a lot of the times customers are giving out like problems so a customer will will give one of the employees too much push back and then the employee will go into like employee plus mode and like I don't I don't need this [ __ ] and they would constantly get into fights like I'm talking like literal fist fights with customers over like I I like the media player because someone said the wrong thing and because of where we were like people were just like that so I would say like not once a month but once pretty frequently like customers were getting into fights with employees the first couple of times yeah they get fired like oh my God could you believe that happened but then eventually there's like yeah another fight happened with an employee uh one of the customers didn't want to do something with the TV was out of stock and then they called the employee like a weird name or something the employee decided to like to to say something back disrespectful and they start get into a fist fight it would happen all the time like it it was so random when it is I mean I I didn't get into a fight with the customer I would just troll the [ __ ] out of them or when they got on my nerves I would just walk away [ __ ] them literally why why would I fight a customer over like headphones in Best Buy and ruin my life but they did that all the time they would run past AP they would push the employee they working there smash them into like the doors and stuff so they they hurt themselves it was crazy it was like a lawless [ __ ] Wasteland all right final story for Denis. today back in the Apple shop this one is not too complicated but I want to get it off my chest because uh [ __ ] this person in particular so I'm sitting here right and I I'm I'm the Apple rep I'm like okay I can feel the wood on my fingertips on the Apple rep and sometimes I would say once every other quarter um everything would be my [ __ ] fault and all the managers in the store blamed me for everything I don't know why they would say that like you're too distracting to the employees which at this point maybe I was thinking back but you're too distracting the employees the employees are too [ __ ] stupid to walk away and do their job so if you're in the area um they're going to talk to you because I'm a I'm a decent hearted person and I'm fun to be around so they were they were jealous that their employees didn't like them anyway so they were just like yeah so we're going to push [ __ ] in front of the Apple shop we're going to give you a hard time blah blah blah so anyway my manager at the time was named Dennis with one n and One S Dennis and he worked for apple as well he was just like hi my name's Dennis everything I say is always totally right I have have a puka shell necklace and I'm losing my hair that's Dennis so he told me he was so good with managers so whenever I needed him no matter how difficult the the problem to call Dennis and he will help me and walk me through it and talk to give me a strategy for whatever so I was like okay um sure like my job was around Christmas time he's like you need to get them to approve some like extra table or some [ __ ] I forgot the the details I was like bet um so I got to talk them to give me a hard time so I was like okay I did my job I I did the thing they don't want to do it I it's not my store I can't be like do the thing so anyway I called dentist I was like 1800 Dennis hello Dennis he answers he like he's like Rob yeah what do you want and like hey Dennis you know like um I have a question so I I I asked them about the thing that you told me to to set up the table blah blah blah they said no they're give me a hard time they're being they're being weird about it and he's like like breathing deeply and he's like he's like dude you know what like you need to figure it out you're the apple ASC it's your job I told you to do it you have to figure it out why are you calling me right and I'm just like [ __ ] I'm gonna shoot this man but I'm just like what for a second I was like do I lose my job over this no no no I put it back on him I was like Dennis you told me that whenever I had a problem to call you you're sitting here being disrespectful saying that I'm the Apple rep I need to figure out I did my job I did the thing they don't want to do the thing okay they're being mad at me for some reason it's now your job to help me out you said you anytime I need you and then he's like okay well you know what listen I'm sorry man because he realized he [ __ ] up I'm I'm sorry man it's just that like you know I'm sitting here at home you caught me in the middle of dinner my wife is this my dog is this I'm like I caught you in the middle of dinner like it was a weekday I'm like dude I'm at work still I'm working till 7:30 I worked like 10 to 7:30 and I'm like dude I I'm here at work you're you're home already eating dinner how frustrated could you be like I'm hungry too but I'm here doing the thing and he's just like no no yeah I know I'm just saying uh yeah you're right I should really help you so he eventually apologized to me but I just got to think and I'm like wait a minute this [ __ ] stain is at home being yelled at by his wife who I don't give a [ __ ] about meanwhile I'm at work doing the thing that he told me to do okay who's in the right here I you br it this hard on the video if you made it this far in the video tell me who
