Intro Dim the lights. Lock your doors.
Welcome to Reaper's Terrors. Part 1 - Something's Wrong The Ammons family moved into a three-bedroom
rental house on Carolina Street in Gary, Indiana, in November 2011. The
family consisted of LaToya Ammons, the mother of three children who also
lived in the house. They were two boys, aged nine and seven, and a twelve-year-old
daughter. Then the basement door creaked open, sending chills down their spines.
Latoya was ready to call the police and had 911 punched in her cell phone as she
walked the house with Rosa. The house was empty except for the family, and though they both
knew what they heard, they went back to bed. This kept happening several times a
week, usually just after midnight. LaToya and Rosa started noticing muddy boot
prints in the kitchen near the basement door. They decided to put a lock on the door,
but all that did was upset whatever was down there. Now LaToya and Rosa would wake up to
the sound of pounding on that door. A few months after moving in, Rosa was woken from a deep
sleep, sensing that something was near her. As she opened her eyes, she saw a figure made
of shadows standing at the foot of her bed. She jumped up and witnessed the figure disappear.
Latoya also started seeing shadow figures, but she only saw them out of the corner of
her eye The situation in the house became increasingly intense. It got to the point that
if anyone was awake after 11 p. m., then they were sure to experience something paranormal.
After that hour, You could expect to be wrapped in a coldness that came from nowhere or be
touched by something pressing on your skin. They did their best to live a normal life but
soon found it was impossible. On March 10th, 2012, the family had friends over. While the adults were
in the kitchen socializing, the children were in their rooms falling asleep. LaToya excused herself
and went to tuck them all in. Moments later, Rosa and the guests heard Latoya scream
from the 12-year-old daughter's room. Rosa ran to the room and was horrified to see her
granddaughter floating several feet above her bed. Rosa ran out of the room and came back just
seconds later with her Bible in her hands. She prayed over her granddaughter and made
the sign of the cross on the girl's forehead, causing the child to cry out. Then, the girl fell
down onto the bed. She looked around, Wondering why her mother and grandmother were standing
next to her and why they looked so frightened, the girl had no memory of what happened.
Latoya sensed that her family was in danger, so she reached out to people that she thought
could help. One clairvoyant she spoke with claimed that the original owners of the house were part
of a satanic cult and used to perform rituals, including sacrifices, in the home. The clairvoyant
also warned Latoya that her house wasn't just haunted, but it was infested with over 200 demons.
The clairvoyant cautioned her that if she didn't move her family from the house soon,
the demons would harm them. However, due to financial constraints, moving wasn't
an option. As an alternative, the Clairvoyant advised the family to set up religious altars
throughout the home, especially in the basement. The basement floor was mostly cement, but
there was a small area under the stairs that was just a patch of dirt. The Clairvoyant
believed that that was a portal to hell, allowing demons to enter and exit the house.
Latoya and Rosa placed a small table on that patch of dirt and covered it with a white bedsheet.
they then positioned a candle along with several religious statues and a bible on it. Following
the Clairvoyant's guidance, they also poured salt around the altar to seal the portal. Latoya
reached out to several local churches for help, but all except one refused to listen to her.
That one suggested that she clean the house thoroughly and then use an anointment oil to
make the sign of the cross on each door and window. They also told Latoya to pour
olive oil on the children's hands and feet and then use anointment oil to make the
sign of the cross on each of their foreheads. The next three days were the quietest they had
been in the house since the nightmare started. But that didn't last.
The paranormal activity intensified Part 2 - It Gets Worse over the next month. One day, while Rosa was doing
laundry in the basement, something unseen choked her so forcefully that she couldn't breathe. She
managed to run upstairs, where she immediately felt the pressure on her neck disappear.
And Latoya noticed that her youngest son was having full-on conversations with someone in his
room. When she walked in to see what was going on, she saw the boy sitting in his closet alone.
When she asked him who he was talking to, he told her it was a young boy named Trey.
These conversations continued, and then one day, Latoya's son went to her scared, telling her that
Trey was now talking to him about how he died and how that felt. Then, her son said that Trey would
tell him to do bad things and to hurt people. Soon, Rosa wasn't the only one physically injured
by whatever evil was in the house. One afternoon, she discovered her grandsons levitating
in the kitchen only to be hurled to the floor. As she approached, LaToya's
daughter wasn't spared either. Her head slammed into the headboard.
The wound required stitches. Desperate, Rosa instructed the children
to read from the Bible daily, hoping that would help repel the unseen assailant. During
one such reading, LaToya witnessed one of her sons writhe in agony, claiming an unseen
force was stabbing him in the stomach. Only when the boy slammed the
book shut did the torment cease. The most terrifying attack targeted Latoya's
daughter. While she was asleep in bed, an unseen entity pinned her to her mattress and
choked her while a sinister voice whispered in her ear that she would be soon dead.
The attacks weren't just physical, they were also spiritual. One evening,
Rosa found the three children in a trance, chanting words in unison in a language that
none of them knew. A bone deep chill told her that whatever they spoke was pure evil.
The children would also randomly undergo chilling transformations. Their smiles
became elongated and eerie, and their eyes glazed over with a terrifying malevolence.
Their voices deepened, becoming guttural and unsettling. The children were also tormented
by horrifying figures lurking within the house. One apparition in particular, an old woman
with blazing red eyes, filled the children with dread whenever she appeared.
By mid April 2012, the torment had reached its breaking point. The evening
was a relentless onslaught of terror, with the children levitating and plummeting
to the floor without warning. Rosa and Latoya spent the night preying over the kids, desperately
trying to shield them from harm. Through the air, narrowly missing the family as chaos reigned.
A bottle of air freshener suddenly soared off the table, hovering momentarily before hurtling into
Latoya's bedroom, shattering a lamp on impact. As Rosa and LaToya rushed in,
they were confronted by a large, menacing shadow figure standing in the center
of the room. Terror gripped them as they fled, grabbing the children and bursting through
the front door. In their panicked escape, the older boy was flung to the ground, while the
younger saw the red-eyed woman materialize nearby. As they piled into the car, Latoya realized she
had left her bible behind. She raced back inside, determined to retrieve it.
The plan was simple. Grab the Bible and flee. But upon entering her room,
a guttural growl stopped her in her tracks. From the shadows, a monstrous figure emerged,
crawling on unnaturally elongated limbs. It hissed at her, its rancid breath polluting the air as
it drew closer. Paralyzed with fear, LaToya could only watch as the demon made its way toward her.
Suddenly, a firm grip on her shoulder yanked her out of the room. Rosa, sensing danger,
had returned for her. Without a word, she pulled LaToya towards the door. They tumbled
into the car and sped away, leaving the house of 200 demons behind.
Part 3 - Witnesses are Terrified Latoya took the children to their family
physician's private practice the next day.. While the doctor was questioning the children,
they began cursing in a deep, demonic voice, and the youngest one inexplicably was thrown
across the room. Terrified, the doctor and nurse ran out of the room crying, "Oh my God!" No
amount of pleading could convince them to return, leaving the Ammons family alone in the chilling
aftermath of this supernatural outburst. While they sat in the room trying to figure out what
to do next, the two boys lost consciousness. They were rushed to the hospital, where
they regained awareness. Valerie Washington, who was a child services caseworker, arrived to
interview the family. While speaking with them, she watched the youngest boy's eyes roll up
into his head and heard him growl through his teeth before violently choking his brother.
Later that day, with a psychologist and a nurse present, the younger boy looked
at his sibling and told him in a deep, evil voice "it's time to die. I will kill you."
Then, the older brother grabbed Rosa and slammed his head into her abdomen several times before she
was able to grab both of his wrists and stop him. While she still held on, she watched
him walk up the wall backward. He took several steps on the ceiling,
then dropped it down behind Rosa, where he sat in a chair for several minutes in a
trance. The psychologist looked at Rosa and said, "That's no human. No human can do what That
little boy just did." Valerie described the experience in her notes, saying, " It looked
like he glided on the floor, wall, and ceiling." ended up taking custody of the children.
Meanwhile, hospital staff contacted Father Maginot, a priest with experience in
spiritual matters. He agreed to investigate the Ammons’ home, and his goal was to disprove
demonic activity. But, while he was there, he saw inexplicable things occur. Bathroom
lights flickered and stopped as he neared, only to flicker again as he moved away.
Once he held a cross up to the light switch, the flickering stopped completely. Then,
he witnessed LaToya starting to look weak and feel sick. She asked him to bless her,
hoping that it would relieve her discomfort. Father Maginot began praying over her and had
to stop because LaToya began shaking. He told her that they needed to leave and not come
back because the house was full of pure evil. Despite the priest's warning, LaToya returned to
the house for an interview with child services. Valerie was accompanied by two police officers.
Rosa told them about the haunting and walked them through the house.
While they were walking through the basement, one of the officer's audio recorders
started to show that the batteries were dying, although he had just replaced them.
The other officer's recorder picked up a disembodied voice, and the officers
also took pictures that they say show an unexplained figure in them.
A week later, on May 10th, 2012, another meeting was scheduled at
the house, but Valerie refused to go. Instead, another social worker named Samantha
Ilick was sent. The two police officers returned, and this time, Father Maginot was also present.
As the group walked through the house, Samantha saw an oily substance on several cabinets.
She reached out and touched the clear sticky fluid and jerked her hand back quickly.
Pain was shooting through her fingers, theyhad turned pale white as if all of the
blood had left them. Within 10 minutes, she started to have difficulty breathing and
went outside, where she waited for the others. It wasn't long before Latoya joined her. She
had the same sick feeling come over her as she had when Father Mao first visited. Father
Maginot and the two officers continued to walk the house. One of them noticed that the
window blinds had that same oily substance on them that Samantha touched earlier. They wiped
the oil off with paper towels and left the room. Twenty-five minutes later, they went back in
and found that the oily substance had returned. Part 4 - Exorcism Between previous visits with Latoya and what
he saw during this visit, Father Maginot was convinced that the house was plagued by demons
and the Ammons family needed an exorcism. Near the end of May, Father
Maginot, the two police officers, and Samantha, returned to the house.
Father Maginot blessed the home and then performed a minor exorcism on LaToya. During the
exorcism, Samantha felt a strange change in the house, as if it grew darker, and then she felt
as if somebody else was in the room with them. Father Maginot had the bishop's approval to
perform a major exorcism on LaToya. This time, she met him at the church, and though he
was unable to get the demon to show itself, he knew that the battle wasn't over. So he
gave LaToya a rosary with Benedictine medals. As LaToya walked out of the church,
the rosary fell apart in her fingers. On June 7th, one day before another exorcism was
scheduled, Father Maginot was riding his bicycle when he was thrown off of it by an unseen force.
His bike was twisted beyond repair, but he was unharmed. Though he felt this was a warning from
the demons, he carried out the exorcism anyway. This time, the demon was active and thrashed
Latoya's body around as Father Maginot the rite of exorcism. As he prayed over her, Latoya
felt severe pain shooting through her body, later saying that it felt like it
was coming from the inside outwards. Another exorcism was performed on June 29th.
The previous exorcisms were conducted partly in English, but this time, Father Maginot spoke
only in Latin, a language that Latoya did not know. The demon acted out any time that he
condemned it, causing Latoya to convulse and thrash around. On the other hand, when Father
Maginot was praising God, she didn't react at all. When the exorcism was completed, Father
Maginot told Latoya that there had been several demons that possessed her,
and each of them had been cast out. The Ammons family moved from the house, and
in November 2012, Latoya regained custody of her children. Regarding the Ammons family's
terrifying ordeal, she said, “When you hear something like this, Don't assume it's not
real because I've lived it. I know it's real."
