Vlog68 Four Corners monument

shout out to Tom and Joyce thank you for dinner New Mexico in this portion of the video we are driving West through Apache and Navajo reservation land towards the Four Corners States Monument we find ourselves driving through large stretches of undeveloped land or perhaps scrub grazing land as we Traverse from National Park to National Park out here in the Western United States being East Coasters it's kind of a stark contrast to the congestion and traffic that we're used to and to be clear it's a very pleasant contrast to less traffic and congestion I really enjoy how there's still a lot of oldtime signage that's used today on the hotels and motels and businesses here is the first glance of Ship Rock through our very dirty windshield this is the four corners monument it was first established and perpetuated by US Government surveyors in 1868 it's been redone several times since of course this is the location where four states come together in one location and we can actually stand in four states at one time beautiful Colorado beckons to us with its wide open Plains and beautiful blue skies in fact that is the antenna for our rig in the middle of the picture I just love showing how wide open and quiet it is out in these Western States all [Music] [Music] we camped at OT Mountain Casino in Cortez Colorado we like camping at the casino because it's a great value and we can usually get cheap eats this one had a particularly nice bathroom you know I like to rate on the bathroom scale plenty of soap we had electrical outlets so we can curl our hair bathroom stalls and separate shower stalls with a dressing area
