Hello, Miriam at the Bureau with your National Weather Forecast for tomorrow Tuesday the 10th of September although, we will take a quick look at this afternoon's forecast as well. It is going to be broadly settled across southern parts of the country just a few showers in the south-east but a little bit further north, we are expecting showers and thunderstorms across north-east, New South Wales and south-east Queensland. Now, storms in those areas may produce damaging wind gusts, large hail or locally heavy falls in that small pocket of the country so definitely one to watch out for through the course of this afternoon. Now, those storms will ease back overnight tonight, but we are likely to see them redeveloping through Tuesday, particularly during the afternoon and evening period. We may see that unsettled weather reaching as far north as Brisbane with that chance of storms continuing. Fairly settled elsewhere across eastern Australia. Tomorrow, though, morning fogs and partly cloudy days on the way but over in the west, we've got these troughs of low pressure moving through which are likely to generate areas of cloud, showers and possible thunderstorms for parts of inland Western Australia and western South Australia on our Tuesday. Let's take a quick trip around the country now, to break down tomorrow's forecast. For Queensland, morning fogs along the east coast with a few showers following in parts, mainly about the north tropical coast and across the south-east, with that activity that I mentioned earlier. Brisbane could see a few showers for our Tuesday, but heading for a top of 26 degrees. Inland, it'll be drier and warmer with more sunshine on the way. For New South Wales, we are going to see morning fogs in the south-east, but dry and mostly sunny conditions following, with that chance of showers and thunderstorms persisting across the far north-east of the state. Sydney is heading for a dry, sunny top of 22 degrees tomorrow. Canberra, sunny conditions and a top of 20. Down in Victoria, we'll see morning fogs inland, but generally dry conditions throughout the day. Partly cloudy in the south. Mostly sunny conditions across to the north of the ranges, I should say. 20 degrees is the forecast for Melbourne tomorrow. Hopefully a bit of sunshine through the afternoon. For Tasmania, we're still seeing Flood Warnings in place for a number of catchments, but the good news is, tomorrow is not likely to bring as much rainfall as what we've seen last week. A few showers on the way for the western parts of the state, but fairly dry through central and eastern areas. Hobart heading for a partly cloudy top of 17 degrees. Over in South Australia, morning fog through the south-east with a few showers easing. Otherwise, a dry and mostly sunny day but further to the north-west, we have that risk of showers and isolated thunderstorms developing later on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Adelaide heading for a top of 21 degrees, dry and partly cloudy. For Western Australia, those troughs moving across inland parts of the state will generate some showers and possible storms, mostly for the southern interior and parts of the Gascoyne and Goldfields districts. Not too much is expected to reach the ground, though but we may have that lightning through the afternoon. A few showers about southern coastal districts as well, but shouldn't push as far north as Perth, which is looking at a partly cloudy top of 23 degrees for Tuesday. Finally, for the Northern Territory, we are expecting dry conditions across the north of the state. Certainly, Darwin heading for a top of 35 degrees tomorrow with a bit of a dry afternoon on the way. We may, however, see cloud and a few showers building across the Lasseter in the far south, however, as those troughs approach from Western Australia. Now, you can find the detailed forecast for your areas via the Bureau's website or the BOM social media. Have a good day and we'll catch you tomorrow.
