what's going everybody it's your boy JP Joe P backing him up but on a great day make sure you do me a favor leave a like leave a comment subscribe I appreciate everybody who has subscribe button because by hitting that subscribe button you're helping me and my kids eat so let's go and get into it man we're going to talk about Miss Ria Jackson today we are here for another rookie update IIA Jackson is somebody who I felt like kind of fell to the Wayside in the earlier parts of the season because she kind of fell you know behind the hype of you know the Caitlyn Clarks and Angel re of the world you know they were out here breaking records left and right um she didn't even get crazy beginning of the Season Cameron Brink was somebody who you know she was a starter she was getting a lot of minutes she was getting a lot of uh she was getting a lot of opportunity and rightfully so um but with uh Brinks injury I I said in the video I believe uh last month when I talked about the rookies maybe a month and a half ago at this point uh I said that with with Brink going down it's going to give an opportunity for RIA Jackson to really step into her own and really just like take her own take that ownest F onto being a scorer and she's done just that you know what I'm saying since the break she's given you 16 points per game on 3.6 rebounds per game uh two assists per game on 50% from the floor 47% from three she scored in double digits for 10 straight games her she had a career high 25 points on 6 to 18 against D six to8 threes against Dallas you can just see why people called her the purest scorer coming out of college basketball this past season like her three-point stroke is something that's actually very impressive I think that there was a game against the Mystic where she came out I think she had like 16 or 18 points in the first quarter you know what I'm saying like she just has a very very impressive ability to get hot um I think that the really the biggest downside for RIA right now it kind of just feels like scoring is all she does very well uh she's not really a great rebounder she's not really an excellent uh Defender but she's very very good at getting at getting points you know what I'm saying and while I appreciate her scoring ability I see her potential I guess my biggest concern is that I'm just not sure if the Los Angeles Sparks will be able to prioritize her uh when it comes to their future you know they have a lot of things going on right now like I said they have Cameron Brink they have uh they have Ria they have Lexi Brown who's you know waiting with her Crohn's disease the ER Ham's under contract for the next couple of years um and they're going to be projected to have uh if not the first overall pick then a very very high pick in next year's draft and so that gives an opportunity to potentially get you know a page a Paige Beckers or Ana morrow or an Azie fud or anybody that they see coming out of the draft that really catches their eye like they're going to go ahead and get them because right now they're a team that's rebuilding you know they have I believe seven wins on the season they're not a great team uh they they're not they're not really like exactly very very close in many games you know what I'm saying they come out they just get blown out um and that could just be that they're them tanking them not trying to win games but it could just be that they just don't have much talent on their team you know like I said I think outside of U outside of rakia and di' I think that with Brink and with Lexi being out um they just they just don't have enough you know and not to mention they also have Zia Cooks who is their first round pick in a 2023 so they're they're a team that has a lot a lot of young pieces and I know that RI is somebody that they they see right now as very very important but with them bringing in even more talent in the future like you can only pay so many people you know and it could be a situation where somebody has to be the odd man now I'm not saying that it will be Ria but I'm just saying that it has to be on the table that Ria is somebody who gets the short end of the stick here and will end up having to find a new home somewhere else unfortunately with the Los Angeles Sparks being an absolute [ __ ] show this probably will be the last time I talk about Miss Ry unless she does something amazing but that's all I got man super quick super short make sure you guys leave a like leave a comment subscribe uh appreciate everybody with subscribe Button Man and uh peace and love family deuces
