When Katy Perry and her fiancé Orlando
Bloom went out in New York City with their three-year-old daughter Daisy, they
looked like the picture perfect couple. The 39-year-old pop artist and 47-year-old actor
were spotted on Wednesday strolling down Tribeca as a family, holding hands with each of their
young daughter's hands as they crossed the street. At one point, Perry was carrying Daisy's pink
reusable water bottle with Hello Kitty on it, while Bloom was giving his youngest child a ride
on his shoulders as he drank something warm. The 13-time Grammy nominee wore identical biker shorts and a light gray crop
top for the casual excursion. Sunglasses, a black quilted Chanel waist bag, and many necklaces placed on top of one
another completed her laid-back ensemble. Her long brown hair was pulled
back into a low ponytail, and she chose to wear a blue baseball cap over it. Bloom looked good in matching shorts and
sneakers along with an enormous navy blue top. He had on sunglasses and a
baseball cap just like Perry. Their daughter looked gorgeous in a white
crochet top with a red heart in the center; she turns four on August 26.
white sneakers and blue pants. Bloom and his ex-wife, model Miranda Kerr,
41, have a 13-year-old son named Flynn, although Daisy is their only child together. This is Perry's first public appearance
since she vehemently defended her choice to collaborate on her next album, 143,
with contentious music producer Dr. Luke. Some have criticized Perry for working with
Dr. Luke following his ten-year legal dispute with Kesha, a 37-year-old peer whom he
sued in 2014 after she alleged physical, sexual, and emotional abuse—a claim he refuted. In the end, the legal dispute was resolved. Nevertheless, the I Kissed A Girl
hitmaker claimed that her songs are entirely based on her own experiences
and do not represent the opinions of the producer when she was a guest on
Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast. "I understand that it started a lot
of conversations," she clarified. And he was only one of the
numerous people I worked with. The singer of Wide Awake maintains that Luke
is just someone who 'facilitates' her songs. "But the truth is, it comes
from me," she continued. "The truth is, he was one of the people who
helped facilitate all that—one of the writers, one of the producers—because I wrote these songs from my experience of going through this
metamorphosis throughout my entire life." I can speak from my experience here. When I talk about Woman's World, I talk
about how, as a mother and a woman, I feel so powerful today because I gave birth,
created life, and gave birth to another set of organs—a brain and a heart. I succeeded in
creating a full heart. I will continue to do it. I remain a matriarch even now. And that's where
I'm coming from, feeling really rooted in that. According to Katy, her music is inspired
by a "place of celebration and love." 'I don't feel like I have to
compose music,' she continued. I don't think I need to demonstrate anything.
Right now, I'm acting out of celebration and love. Perry's partnership with Dr. Luke caused a great
deal of debate prior to her much awaited return. Rolling Stone revealed in June that the
multi-Grammy Award nominee was working on her sixth record with Dr. Luke, Max
Martin, Sarah Hudson, and Stargate. The group of talent that the former American
Idol judge assembled for her first release since 2020's Smile was described by a
Capitol Records source as Perry "knew exactly the album she wanted to make and
put together the team to make it happen." Online comments were made against Perry as well as
Dr. Luke, who last year resolved a defamation case with Kesha, 37, who had accused him of sexually
and physically abusing her in a 2014 lawsuit. Following the announcement that Perry
and Dr. Luke would be working together, Kesha, whose full name is Kesha
Rose Sebert, tweeted, "lol." Several fans conjecture about the significance
of Kesha's "lol" tweet. One person said that "she's laughing at Katy and her new song," while
another person questioned, "Is this Katy shade?" Some were more critical of Perry's choice
to work with Dr. Luke as a professional. "It'll never be a 'Woman's World,' because
individuals like Katy Perry still stand by and encourage industry abusers
like Dr. Luke," a user commented. "I'm actually shocked how many Katy Perry
fans are defending her with this Dr. Luke thing," another person said. By the way, you
can hold your favorite musician responsible. Perry "waited for the whole court process
to end before calling him again," according to one user, who implied that Perry
had been strategic in her decision. "Won't be listening," declared one user,
while "some people make music with integrity, while others just care about having
a number one," was stated by another.
